Home was comfortable duplex with secure backyard for dog and turtles to roam free. Comfortable upstairs bedroom and bathroom. Great internet, TV, and Verizon. Kitchen contains all modern amenities. Take-away restaurants, drugstore, barbers, are all within 0.5 miles. Pets were easy care with no health issues or medications. Sid the Cat appreciated the only attention necessary: being given a boost up to his food bowl. Winny is a wonderfully energetic dog and keeps up to fairly long hikes in the beautiful nearby ancient estates converted to Red Deer sanctuaries, Wild Flower fields, and Giant Exotic trees. She's also very content cuddling on the couch, or in bed at night. She also acts as a good alarm dog, alert to visitors including Sid, and tortoises convinced they can also climb through the cat door: The tortoises have surprising personalities, and are great fun to watch. I may populate my backyard with them! Owners are very good communicators, reliable, and accommodating, planning to pick me up at the tube station, arriving on time, explaining pet/home care, then returning home and driving me back to the tube station.
I had a wonderful 10 days looking after Rudy and Maria for Micheal and Susan. They have a very comfortable and elegant house on 7 acres about a 10 minute drive outside Charlottesville. This means you can stay in beautiful quiet surroundings while being in easy reach of lots of good restaurants and a variety of things to do. The whole set up makes looking after the pets very easy. Rudy, who is an absolute sweetheart, can roam all day on her 'estate' if the weather allows and Maria, who rules the house, is a little distant but just needs typical cat care. Michael and Susan communicated clearly and promptly to before, during and after my stay and I would be delighted to sit for them again if the opportunity arises.
This property is exquisite.. A truly wonderful house sit in the beautiful Somerset countryside. Gorgeous, well behaved dogs and cuddly cats. We loved the whole experience.. Tom and Antoinette, are the most kind and generous hosts who ensured that we were comfortable and had everything we needed... The area is excellent for walking with numerous public footpaths and bridleways. Shops and pubs in close proximity with a good choice available... A five star sit in every way, thank you for choosing us..

We so much enjoyed staying at the beautiful home of this lovely family and looking after the world's sweetest retriever, Archie. Rachel and Nick were very generous with us during our stay, in so many ways, that we really appreciate. We would love to sit for them again.
Warning - if you do this sit you may never want to leave! We spent a week looking after Annabel's place and we absolutely fell in love with Hetty, Pom, Kiwi, and Bee, and enjoyed looking after the chooks, guinea fowl, and horses too. Annabel and her family welcomed us like old friends. She took the time to take us through the morning routine with the horses and poultry (all pretty straight-forward) and had everything written down that we might need during our stay. Hetty is a lovely dog full of affection, and sitters will love the cats who all have nothing but cuddles and purrs to give. Annabel's property is amazing and an interesting story in itself - but it has everything you could need for a comfortable stay, including some lovely walks in the area or even just through the grounds. We would love to stay again and highly recommend this sit.
