Laura and Alberto are a lovely couple and a delight to sit for. Communication was excellent from before the sit started, to during, and even after. I felt really comfortable in their home which is located in a wonderful, very secure, gated community. But let’s discuss the real stars of the sit!! Nellie and Bity are the sweetest, most adorable, playful kitties!! Nellie is extremely vocal and would follow me everywhere, meowing like crazy! 😹 It was so much fun playing with them individually but also watching them chase and play together! I highly recommend this sit to anyone who has the opportunity! I would go back in a heartbeat!
I had a wonderful stay with Bentley, Sophie and Casper. Bentley and Sophie are so small and sweet. They love being held and to cuddle on the couch, which I enjoyed so much. Casper the cat has a cute little personality. He spends a lot of time alone in the basement, but also comes upstairs to socialize, and enjoys chin rubs and back rubs. The home is beautiful, I was very comfortable during my stay, and had everything I needed. Susan and Will are so kind and generous - they offered me so much, and allowed me to stay for a few days after they got back, which was very much appreciated. I absolutely enjoyed my time with Bentley, Sophie and Casper in Spruce Grove, and I hope to see them again!
We spent a month with Alexander and Gilly and thoroughly enjoyed their company! Gilly is pretty shy, but she came out for cuddles every evening. Alexander, on the other hand, took cuddles and brushing and snoozing on your lap as much as he could. They spent a little time each day outside, but (Alexander particularly) mostly just wanted to be wherever you are. Dana was a wonderful host! She was very attentive, and checked in often to make sure we had everything we needed. Her peaceful home is an easy 20 minute drive to the heart of Santa Fe. It's so quiet with amazing views, beautiful sunsets, and incredible stars. We made good use of the nature trails right out the door, and saw coyotes and a bobcat. It was a perfect balance of being in nature with access to all the culture Santa Fe has to offer!
I thoroughly enjoyed sitting Ollie. He's a great little companion who wants to be right by your side and becomes more affectionate after a few days with him. Marta's home is a light filled space in which I felt welcome and would find perfect as a work from home space. The neighborhood is quiet and not completely deforested which is lovely. There is a park that I liked to go to and loop around for a short daily walk with Ollie. Marta is easy to communicate with, responsive and warm. Highly recommend!
Max and Blue were an absolute joy to take care of! So sweet & playful. The cutest brother duo. Asher and Leanna were kind and communicative throughout the stay. Their home is so cozy & inviting. Very quiet with lots of natural light located in a great spot! I loved this sit & would highly recommend!
This was a last minute 2 night sit looking after Rocky the red Lab. Jake has a lovely, comfortable home located on a quiet lane surrounded by fields. The only downside was the Motocross all day on Sunday and the beeping pump in the house. You can't hear the motor bikes inside and I'm sure most people could zone out the beeping but I'm very sensitive to noise unfortunately so it would be helpful to mention these in the listing. Jake was very easy going and Rocky is a terrific dog! He's really quiet, has a lovely nature and was pretty good on the lead on the lanes as there was very little traffic. He enjoyed playing ball in the garden and running through the fields a 15 minute walk away. The only time he was a handful was when he saw a couple of other small dogs on the lane but thankfully they were taken the other way. As he's an entire dog it would be good to have some guidance on managing him around other dogs and the welcome guide would benefit from more detail but I'd have no hesitation in recommending Rocky, he was a joy to look after.
