Past house sitters have found my dog Wilbur to be enjoyable to care for, however I recognize that not all pets and humans bond. I sensed that Brian did not really spend much time engaging with my dog. Wilbur had a sore eye filled with matter when I returned and Brian either didn’t notice or didn’t care to inform me of this. I had asked my son to come over for the final feeding/potty of Wilbur so Brian could leave early due to poor weather. My son misunderstood and came over a day early and notified me of Wilburs eye problem. Despite being there another day Brian did not inform me of the eye problem. The house had sticky dirty countertops in the kitchen and bathroom - linens were not laundered or changed out. Brian left items in the house, so overall not a great sit.
Julie was perfect from start to finish. She seems to really know and understand dogs! She called Rocky soulful, which he is, but most people don’t understand. Lol! Rocky is can be sketchy at times but they became very friendly. Julie left our place as clean as we left it for her. She was responsive when we reached out. She sent us pictures when asked. We hope she’ll come back another time because Rocky really liked her and so did we!

My sassy schnauzer loves his days with his furry pals and auntie Tracy or Auntie Sam, he gets so excited when I say their names and he gets even more excited when he here’s the van coming into the road! This is the 3rd time Carrie has looked after my little Teddy boy and this is the best place for him while we're away. Carrie sends us multiple photos and videos of teddy's adventures while he's there. They go on lots of walks everyday and Carrie has become his 2nd mum. It's so nice to go away knowing Teddy will be having an even better time than us so I never have to worry about him. Would highly recommend to everyone
So pleased that we found Carrie to have our dogs. One of our dogs had separation anxiety, so much, that other boarders wouldn't take her. Was dreading the same happening again, but Carrie was brilliant with her, and our other dog, who had no issues. Carrie said they would have a ball, and she was right !! Daily videos and pictures, showing how happy and settled the dogs were. We were able, for once, to relax on our holiday 100% knowing they were getting loads of love, attention and lovely daily walks. They were treated as part of Carrie's family. We will definitely use Carrie for all our holidays now . In fact, already booked for next year. I highly reccomend her.
Amazing 5*! Would highly recommend Carrie and her family. They made Alfie feel a part of the family and loved and cared for him exceptionally, during our recent holiday. I was kept uptodate with very frequent photographs and videos giving us complete piece of mind whilst away. Carrie and her family welcomed our two dogs into their home over the Christmas period. From the first communication with Carrie we found her to be very professional and friendly. During the stay we had a constant stream of photographs and videos as updates, it was was wonderful to see how our furbabies were doing and it was obvious that they had the best care and attention while we were away. It is plain to see that Carrie and her family are true animal lovers. Carrie is extremely knowledgeable and caring and we feel so fortunate to have found her to look after our dogs. I can wholeheartedly recommend this service to anyone looking for home boarding services or dog walking.
Our boys stayed with Carrie while we were on our honeymoon. We had never left them but soon realised that they were in good hands. They had THE BEST time and were like part of the family. We were updated daily with walks and lovely photos which we loved. Thank you, our boys had a blast!! Xx
With an "older" 7 year old dog, I am always anxious about how my collie will settle in with a new dog sitter. On first meeting Carrie, I was put at ease on how Henry would be treated, and I could see he felt at home immediately. We left him for a weekend, and Carrie send loads of updates such as the attached photo, I really enjoyed seeing how much of a good time he had, and he really was treated as part of the family. I can't think Carrie and her family enough for looking after him and I'm sure Henry is looking forward to many more visits in the future!

It was the first time for us to board our cockapoo puppy Ziggy so we were very anxious. Carrie reassured us that Ziggy would have a fab time and would settle in. Ziggy is very mischievious and Carrie must have had loads of patience. It was lovely having daily photos and videos keeping us informed. We could see that Ziggy had a blast and made new friends. This allowed us to chill and enjoy our holidays. It was obvious that Carrie loves dogs and is very knowledgeable. We will definitely be booking Ziggy with Carrie again. I would highly recommend Carrie as your pets are treated as part of their family.

Our Ralph stayed with them for almost a week and he had the best time. We got daily updates as well as pictures and videos. We saw that he went on plenty of adventures and even learned a new dance! We could not recommend them enough and I know that Ralph cannot wait to go back :)
Fantastic all around! Gutted we didn’t come across Marie at Lead on sooner, Marie has gone above and beyond to help us feel relaxed and gave us daily updates- pictures/videos of our dog. Marie took our dog out exploring the local area and visited forests and other scenic places exposing our dog to new excited environments. It was his first time in boarding and we were anxious leaving him but honestly I can not find a fault with the service that Lead on provides it is amazing! Marie was extremely professional and was super friendly and went out of her way to make sure our dog was relaxed and comfortable in her care. Marie was able to train our dog just in 2 days to do multiple tricks and showed us how to continue these with him at home. Our dog returned home happy, relaxed and trained. Thanks so much 5⭐️
Lead on is an amazing service ! My doggy Oliver and Izzy have all be treated as on Marie on family ! They always love forward seeing hear and always come back happy ! She treat them all family ! Absolutely brilliant. My golden retriever was almost hesitant to leave and come home! Marie kept us up to date by sending pictures and telling us all about what they have been up to. They went on several walks and kept busy. 100% recommend this dog sitter, they will give your pet a blast!
My baby girl Mitzy has just returned from a couple of days boarding with Lead On. She had a ball and I was kept fully up to date with all their activities via photos and videos. Some are attached. Mitzy is a 15 year old shih tzu and was so well looked after. I am already looking at the diary for my next work travel dates to book her back in. Done the reactive rascals course with Marie today, she provided great knowledge in depth about reactive dogs. I highly recommend people to sit this course, with lead on and get the proper training by someone who is qualified and experienced in this feild.

Our young Sprocker is an anxious boy and we're very fussy about who we're prepared to leave him with. Marie and her husband took such good care of him and he had a great time with them - long walks, learning new tricks (for treats of course!) and plenty of cuddles. We got lots of photos and film clips sent to us during the weekend so that we were reassured that he was enjoying his stay. Marie was also very accommodating about the fact that we couldn't give a precise time for picking him up until the day of our return. Highly recommended.
I can’t recommend Lead On’s services enough. My dog Poppy had an overnight stay for the first time recently and she absolutely loved it. Marie is wonderful with dogs and you can tell she really loves them and treats them like one of the family. It’s a real home from home experience and I felt completely comfortable leaving Poppy there. I had constant updates via photos and videos of her stay and that reassured me further on how happy Poppy was. I’ve already booked Poppy in for further stays as I wouldn’t use anyone else now. Well what can I say about Alyson at Poochee Care ! She looked after our gorgeous cats recently, Daisy who is 21yrs & on medication & Poppy who is 16 yrs, diabetic & requires an insulin injection twice a day. We totally trust her & she is absolutely fanatical about the care she gave them & the importance of their needs. This is the second time she has cared for them & we have already booked her for our November holiday. She is trustworthy, caring & goes above & beyond to show how much she cares for animals, she know they are not just pets, they are family. We would not book anyone else as it takes a lot to leave our beloved cats as they are house cats, very spoilt & so loved. We cannot praise her enough & can highly recommend her. One tip for you all if you read this review, book her quickly as you wont find anyone else as good! Thank you Alyson, Angela, Gary, Daisy & Poppy.
Our Boston Terrier, Domino, has had three 'holidays' with Poochee Care. Domino loves Alyson, Mark and their family as much as her own. She is loved, pampered, indulged and cuddled. Alyson sends us regular photos so we can see how happy Domino is while we are away. Poochee Care provide more than 5 star service! They offer good value for money, are highly professional and 100% reliable. We can't recommend them highly enough.
My dog is 4 and its first time had to consider a boarder. I decided to get to know someone before I needed to use. That way I was happy more importantly the dog got chance to get to know boarder and the person looking after him got to know him. Poochee care ticked everybody. A meet and greet then a 2 hour visit. After that we decided on an afternoon then as it was a first time with staying we did a trial stay over. All went well so now it I need to leave my dog we are all happy. I would never and you should never just dump your dog and go. They are like children and poochee care understands that. Heres to a happy future. Thank you!
I am so thankful to have found Alyson of poochee care to take care of our boys while we are away. It really is a home from home bespoke service with regular photos, videos and updates we felt at ease knowing they were happy and content. However, I did expect a better reaction when I arrived to pick them up 🤦♀️ 😂 but it just proved to me that they had felt at home and so comfortable with the care they had received. I wouldn’t leave the boys with anybody else.
Would 100% recommend Alyson to any dog owner. She is incredibly thorough and takes great care of your dog with a settling in session before overnight stay. Milly had an amazing time with her and we will absolutely use her again in the future. Thank you again!

Alyson looked after my cockapoo for 8 days whilst I went abroad. Although Alyson had previously looked after Barney for a couple of nights, I was apprehensive leaving him for just over a week as this would be the longest time I’d left him. My concerns were completely alleviated by Alison’s regular updates with photos and videos showing Barney having a great time. Knowing Barney was receiving one on one care with such an experienced dog carer made such a difference. I highly recommend Alyson and her fantastic business which is unique offering solo home from home boarding care. Thank you from Barney and me 😃🐶.
We had a fantastic experience with Alyson. This was our puppy’s first night away from us and so wasn’t sure how she was going to react to this. Alyson put us at ease straight away, offering a short settling in visit a few weeks before her stay and keeping us updated with photos of how she was doing. Our puppy looked content and happy throughout her stay and when we picked her up the next morning she was her usual happy self. This made our trip away so much more enjoyable knowing she was being so well looked after and I will definitely be taking her back to Alyson in the future.
Alyson is fabulous, we are so lucky to have found such a reliable, lovely lady to help with our dog care. She started out by providing puppy visits which lead into regular weekly walks, really boosting our pups confidence & helping with her development. Alyson also provided a warm caring home when we went away on holiday, our puppy was just a few months old at the time. We received regular updates & photos to put our mind at ease. We decided to try home visits for our cat while we were on holiday rather than using an cattery and are really pleased we found Alyson. She came round to introduce herself and meet Lyra before hand and then visited every day to feed and play with her. She sent us regular updates and photos. Lyra was really well looked after by Alyson and so much happier staying in her own home than she would have been with the stress of going in a cattery. I would definitely recommend Alyson and use her services again.
The staff at Springfields are great. I’ve used them a few times now. My dog had a bad experience at another kennel. They took the time to gain his trust and get to know him. Milo goes in happy he doesn’t even look back. Thanks for taking care of him.
Our dog Otis has been going to Springfields since he was a puppy for both day care and kennels. He loves his visits to Springfields and can't wait to get out of the car when we arrive. He adores the staff and they always take great care of him. Highly recommended!

My English bull terrier stayed here from 13/5/24 for 8 nights This is the second time he has gone here When we arrived & all paperwork was was completed there was no welcome shown for my dog He’s very timid after being attacked by another dog when he was young therefore he’s scared of other dogs In our return to collect him the person who runs it seen us waiting & completely blanked us When our dog was eventually brought to us we were then informed that because of his social issues with other dogs he could not go back there unless we socialise him We have tried dog classes & it made no difference to him I would suggest they DO NOT take in timid dogs I had already decided when leaving him there this time would be the last They are not dog lovers & it’s all about the money I have since spoken to various kennels & my dog doesn’t seem to be a problem he doesn’t growl bark he’s never shown any aggression he’s just a soft laid back English bull terrier…. I have since kennelled him at panty milar kennels & from the start he was made a fuss of & spoken to as you would expect from dog lovers on our return to collect him we were told that he’s such a good sweet gentle dog & he was happier coming from there than he was from Springfields it’s also a bit cheaper although money was never the issue with us but it’s all about the money at Springfields
Our dog Peggy has stayed here a few times now and she absolutely loves it. We were extremely nervous about leaving her for the first time initially but they did such a great job of looking after her. Also really appreciated them administering her regular medication and sending us photo and video updates. She's booked in again soon and I'm sure she'll also love her own mini holiday!

Fantastic kennels that our dog has stayed at for day care and overnights when we are on holidays. We viewed seven other kennels and Springfield was by far the best. The kennels are well presented, offer privacy for the dogs, well kept exercise areas and a massive bonus is that it doesn’t represent a prison like most others! The staff are fantastic and my dog is never in a rush to get home which says it all about how good they get treated there 😂
My Mylo goes here every week and he absolutely loves it! He always gets so excited when he knows we’re close and I can never get him in the car to come home, the staff here are so lovely and you can tell they are real animal lovers. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my baby!

Just collected JJ and our new puppy Rosie from Billie and her team. We were nervous leaving Rosie as her first time to stay in a kennels as she is only 5 months old. We were sent vidoes and photos of them both playing and have lots of fun with other dogs which put our minds at rest. Both had baths and looked stunning, fluffy and smelling gorgeous.with What a great place to board our dog. Thank you Billie and team, best Kennels around!!!
Have used Diane for many years. Have more dogs now and she welcomes them like her own. Dogs are well looked after and even gives medication to my older dog. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Quite often both my dogs stay at wyndee kennels also my daughters two dogs regularly stay here. We have never encountered a problem the dogs happily trot in through the gate, Diane is lovely lady and the dogs pick up on this making them more relaxed.

We have just picked up our two collies after a two week stay. We were worried as both are rescue dogs and we have never left them at Kennels before. I have a Doberman puppy with severe separation anxiety, I contacted Ben who introduced us to the lovely Laura who has been walking and sitting with my pup for a good few months now & I could not recommend this company and its employees enough, they go above and beyond to provide 5+ star service! They are all so friendly, kind & compassionate and above all put the needs of your animal first! They’ve also provided me with a lot of support through the struggles of my dog’s separation anxiety and more training than I could’ve imagined! No request is too big or too small for these guys and always have a solution for everything! Absolutely brilliant 🤩

Ben is a lovely guy and really reliable. We left him to care for our 2 cats while we went away for a little holiday. Throughout our trip we had daily updates and pictures which was really reassuring. The little touches also add up, Ben will open and close the blinds, collect mail, water plants, put the bins out, to name a few. These small touches really made us feel comfortable while away. We would 100% recommend this service, so much so we have more bookings with Ben for layer in the year :)

Brilliant service, very friendly & caring. PAWSitive cat sit for me when I go away, everyday twice a day morning & night he feeds & gives my cat attention for half an hour before leaving. My cat is very relaxed with the sitter. Yes I would definitely recommend.

Great place. They looked after my boy whilst I was on holiday I must admit I was nervous leaving him in boarding as never used one before but I had no need to be worried. He was well looked after and happy. I was also given peace of mind when I emailed to check in on him, my email was answered promptly and I was also sent pics of him on his walk. Will definitely be using them again for my next trip away.
My two lurchers have stayed here a few times now. The kennels came recommended to me, but I was still a little nervous as one of my two can be quite unsure of other dogs - he loves them when he gets to know them, but can be quite barky initially as he's scared. I shouldn't have worried - he had a lovely time, came out not really fussed to see me, which I think is always a good sign, and next visit they both had their tails wagging and were really pleased to see the staff. Will definitely be visiting again!
Wooflands are amazing. They've always taken brilliant care of my dog Charlie and always happy to help out even at short notice if they've got space. It's a huge help to have a reliable kennels which Charlie actually likes going to.
Jane and her staff look after our dogs like they are her own. Wouldn't board them anywhere else. My 2 dogs stayed here again last week and always feel happy and relaxed when we drop them off as we know they will be looked after and give us an update when we return. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

This would be zero stars if that was an option. My cousin arranged for wooflands to look after their two dogs while they were getting married. After dropping the dogs off and arriving at the wedding venue to begin the festivities, they received a call to say one of the dogs had become aggressive and they would need to come and collect her. Let me state the dog is a chihuahua crossed with a French bulldog and is about the size of a cat. The call was received not 30 minutes after the dogs had been dropped off which in my opinion is not a lot of time to allow a scared dog to calm down. I will reiterate she was scared, not aggressive. I would not recommend this kennels unless you can risk a last minute call after you drop off your dog to say they are incapable of managing them, leaving you to frantically find an alternative. Very unreliable and does not say a lot for a professional boarding kennels that is unable to handle a scared small dog.
We put our little boy Loki in here he is very well looked after and we never have to worry about him when we go on our holidays
We have been taking our lie her Sky here on and off over the past 4 years. If I say that she starts howling with excitement as we pass the Crematorium and that she loves the staff you understand that this is a great kennel. Can't recommend them highly enough and Jane is one of life's carers.
Apprehensive about leaving our two young dogs in kennels for the first time but when we picked them up after a weeks stay they were happy well fed clean and slightly reluctant to come home. We will definitely be using Woofl ands again.
Truly great service and great care provided for our dogs while we went on holidays. The business owners were very accommodating when I had to change the collection date due to my husband’s hospital admission. Laura &Ross were understanding and luckily they could keep our dogs for a few days longer. Our girls came back happy, clean and in good shape. The staff was very polite and you can tell they care well about the pets they are entrusted with. Thank you for all your help.
We booked our puppy in to dog daycare , To see how she would be as we have a holiday booked which unfortunately can’t take her with us, Everything was ok when dropped off, we asked them not to take her Harness off as she has no recall yet as she is still a puppy which they said that was fine. On picking her up was told she had been fine but not walked due to the weather being horrible. When they brought her to me , to say I was shocked was an understatement she didn’t have her harness on and a slip lead was around her waist and she was soaking wet, to the point she was shivering, and frightened. With no explanation and reason to why she was so distraught and wringing wet We were so upset about the condition she was in we decided to phone and complain and cancelled the other stay, the lady on the phone couldn’t care less and was very Dismissive about our complaint and gave no reason as to why our puppy was left in this condition, just say they would continue other dogs We will never use them again and dont recommend them to anyone,
Would highly rate these boarding kennels left my dog here for the first time 2 weeks ago. When I collected her she was happy clean and we could tell she was well looked after. Staff are so friendly and i formative

It was perfect, our puppy was very happy meeting 2 of the staff when we arrived. We booked a couple of days just to get him used to being away from us. When we arrived on the second day he couldn’t wait to go in. It made it so easy for us to spend time with grandson. I can’t thank you enough.
Great kennels, our dog has been twice now and she seems to be happy there and we'll cared for.
What a lovely place ,the kennals were clean and very safe. My kittens were looked after fully. We put them in for a few days just to try and ease them in and they loved it. The owners are very attentive and nothong is to much trouble. I know my little ones are safe ,fed and watered and have human interaction. Best place by far.
Lovely kennels with great staff. Our dog is always excited when we drop him off to see everyone. In fact he pulls to get through the gate into the compound in his excitement. This hasn't been the case with some other kennels in the past. He is very happy staying at Keepers and we know he gets the care and kindness that he loves. Wouldn't use any other kennels now - very happy with them.
We cannot praise Ross, Laura and the team at Keepers Cottage enough for their care of our collie over the past week. Our much loved boy was shockingly mistreated at our previous kennels, despite boarding there without any cause for concern for over 8 years. Following this incident, we paid a visit to a few alternative boarding facilities ahead of our vacation this year and started to doubt whether we would be able to trust another kennel to care for our pet the way in which we would. We'd read that Keepers Cottage had been taken over by new management in the past few years and despite our initial reluctance (having only ever heard negative reviews of the business as it was previously run) we reached out to arrange a visit and was pleasantly surprised by the response we received, suggesting we call by at any time during opening hours (something that's normally frowned upon or restricted by other kennels). As soon as we met Laura and Ross our minds were instantly put at ease - what a genuinely lovely pair of people! Both were so welcoming and completely open and upfront about the extensive work that they'd already undertaken to get the kennels in the condition that they are today, and the plans they have to make even more improvements over the next few years. Ross' knowledge and love of animals is evident from the questions he asked about our dog, his health and our past experiences and it was immediately apparent that for these guys, this business isn't just a means of income, but a shared and genuine passion shared by the whole family - they really do care about what they do. Due to the past trauma experienced by our collie, Ross recommended that we leave him there for a day to see how he settled before any long term boarding - a perfect suggestion that not only helped him to settle in, but to completely set aside any fears we may have had about leaving him in kennels. I picked him up after a weeks stay earlier today and we were in complete shock over how happy and content he was; he even ran past me, straight to Laura as soon as he came out of his run - if that doesn't speak volumes for how well he enjoyed his stay then I don't know what does! It was clear that he's been well looked after; his bedding wasn't dirty as it normally it, he didn't smell like he's done in the past and he didn't pull and whine to go home like normal. It's evident that he's been well looked after and I cannot thank Laura, Ross, their girls and the team enough - after his stay with you, I wouldn't trust anyone else with the care of our pets. We look forward to many happy stays with you in the future and would wholeheartedly recommend you guys to anyone!
I can not recommend this company enough! I had daily updates and daily photos. Both pets had a high standard of care. Our dog was walked and enjoyed the company of their own home whilst I was away. Bella and Tilly are very fond of Mandy and always happy to see her. Amazing job thank you for all your love and care x
They looked after my pup Bonnie for 6 days and were absolutely incredible. Bonnie was clean and washed before she came home and came home a happy dog! Can’t wait to use them again in the summer knowing my dog will be safe, loved and happy during her stay at Home and Away boarding kennels!
Our dogs have had a few stays here now and have always come home happy and well looked after.
They take good care of your fur baby. Alfie is very shy and nervous but he comes home as if he's not been away. Friendly staff
I left our dog (Toto), with homeandaway for a week. When I picked up toto he was so clean and he had a big smile. Looks like he had a good time!
The ladies were both funny and caring when looking after our 2 lurches. Both of our dogs really enjoyed their away from home holiday with big smiles and wagging tails. See you soon
First time for my 7 month toy poodle poppy. I felt anxious on how she would cope having never been away from me.. NO WORRIES.... on pick up she was the same bouncy Little girl... Will definitely use again.. Thanks to all...
