We met Anne & Ken before the sit so we could get to know them and meet Hamish. Hamish is a wonderful, obedient, extremely playful dog who loves cuddles and his tennis balls. The house is in a brilliant location in the centre of Fort William and is an excellent location for accessing a wide variety of walks. The house itself is extremely comfortable and has wonderful views out over the water. Anne & Ken were great communicators and left us a very comprehensive folder of instructions and recommendations for places to visit. Would highly recommend this housesit and the lovely Hamish. Would love to housesit again, if possible. 5*.
Has a great sit looking after Milly for Steph and Chris, who are a fun, lovely couple and very hospitable! Chris kindly collected me from the station and we all ate together in the evening (thank you!). Thier flat is lovely, and great location for popping for swims! And Milly was just a sweet, sweet girl. Easy to care for, loved some strokes (wait to you hear her purr – or rather roar (!) - and I was sad to leave her on the final day. Only positive all round and I would definitely recommend this sit to others. Thanks so much to you all.
I had a great time housesitting for Debby and looking after Dennis. I found Dennis to be a really sweet and friendly cat, and very easy to look after.. Debby left clear and helpful instructions for Dennis, the flat, and recommendations for the local area. The flat was very comfortable with a beautiful garden and a short walk to the seaside. I would happily return!
Our experience sitting for Derek and Trina and caring for their lovely Luna was absolutely delightful! Luna is an adorable and laid-back companion who thoroughly enjoys the company of humans. We particularly cherished her affectionate nature, especially during those cozy mornings! Derek and Trina were incredibly kind and accommodating hosts. Communication with them was a breeze, and we felt an immediate sense of closeness. The handover process was seamless, and they generously took the time to answer any questions we had while they were away. The area itself is fantastic, boasting numerous fantastic coffee shops, pubs, and restaurants. Its excellent connectivity is a major plus. Just an 8-minute walk away is Stratford station, providing a convenient 15-minute tube ride to central London. Also, the proximity to the Westfield shopping centre adds to the area's appeal. Without a doubt, we would love to sit for Trina and Derek again in the future. We wholeheartedly recommend them as hosts and cannot speak highly enough of our experience with them!
I really enjoyed my time with Dinky in Hail Weston. Liz was incredibly welcoming and I enjoyed our time together before she left. Communication was great throughout, which I really appreciated. Dinky is a lovely little dog and she eventually felt comfortable enough to have some longer walks with me, which I enjoyed. The cottage is very homely and cosy, with a beautiful garden to enjoy. Hail Weston is a friendly little village with lots of lovely walks, and St Neots is close by for shopping. Overall, it was a really great stay! Liz and I have stayed in touch and I've been lucky to see Dinky a few times since my stay. Thank you for everything, Liz, and I hope to see you again in the future :)
I had a great sit experience even though a few things caught me off guard at first. Communication with Kiara was excellent from the beginning of my application through final day of my sit. I enjoyed their pets very much, Otis and Lando. Otis is a strong but anxious doggie. He tried to dominate me a few times while laying down but I managed to get out from under see him. He loves his walks and is a pleasure to walk but he growls and becomes aggressive at other dogs. Nothing a strong person can’t handle. Lando, is adorable and very playful. He likes to snuggle my belly and play with his pom-pom string wand toy. I thought he escaped and went searching the neighborhood for him. When I reached Kiara, she told me he might be hiding in the linen closet, and thankfully he was. Gave me quite the scare! I had a few disappointments that made me feel they weren’t being considerate of having a guest. I was given a very dirty towel, no washcloth, no hangers and no night table or bureau in the bedroom to use. It was just the bed and a tiny half upper closet space. I ended up finding a pile of dirty towels so I did all the laundry so I could have a fresh towel and a washcloth. Problem solved! They also were unable to provide a leash so I had to improvise as they don’t have a spare. Other than that, everything was great!
