What a lovely sit! From wonderful hosts to of course the most adorable pup, I would happily recommend it! Gus is the cutest, most affectionate little thing. He’s the kind of dog that just wants to be curled up on your lap or be in your arms (though he understands to lie by your feet instead when you need to get some work done – but I’ve still opted for having him on my lap 😄). He loves his ball and it was the cutest thing seeing him hop to get it. Gus does make a noise when you first meet but by the time Madhin and Clea were leaving, he was happily curled up on my lap, all calm, and was a dream throughout the sit. Madhin and Clea are super easy-going and it was clear they wanted me to be comfortable during my stay. They kindly picked me up from and dropped me off at the train station, made sure there was enough time before their departure to go on a walk together and explain everything and were always just a message away if anything arose – not that it was needed as they’ve covered all the bases! Their home has everything you could need and is just a short walk to the Victoria Park which I really enjoyed taking Gus to. The town centre is also just a walk away but personally haven’t explored it much as it was only a couple of days and I wanted to enjoy Gus’ company more! Needless to say I would be more than happy to look after Gus again and recommend this sit to others!
Kitty is a petite, talkative, and friendly cat who made the best companion during my stay. I loved hanging out with her and being her personal lap warmer :) She’s also stunning. The photos don’t do her justice! The apartment is clean, comfortable, and in a perfect location. It’s less than a mile walk to the lake and beaches and just a few blocks from the red line, major bus routes, and the main section of Andersonville. I hope to sit for Kitty again in the future!
Miles the poodle puppy is playful and super lovable. Muffin the cat is sweet, laidback and adorable. Martin and Deanna are very welcoming, warm and communicative. They’re also thoughtful and considerate, and introduced me to a few friends, who invited me on outings. Their friends also kindly checked on me and offered help when I caught a bug. Their house is comfortable, well appointed and full of art. They have a lovely, lush garden and a beautiful conservatory. Their place is conveniently located, as well as quiet — a real treat. Martin showed me the great nearby walks and nearby community center grounds, and they kindly took me to dinner at the village pub. The high street is a few blocks from their house and includes a supermarket, greengrocer, butcher and pharmacy.
Karin and Simon gave me the warmest welcome to their beautiful home, explaining how to handle all the animals, showing me around the house and then treating me to a delicious meal before setting off. Billy and Patch are the sweetest, gentle dogs, very well behaved and a joy to walk on one of the many stunning footpaths, directly from the house. The Alpacas were friendly, loved their food and although they like to keep a little distance from you, one day they teamed up very effectively together to chase away a hungry young fox! The chickens and ducks like to scratch the paddocks for any food and return to their nice pen and secure houses for the night, with an automatic gate even. The extensive grounds are filled with loads of flowers and vegetables and the house is set right within the Surrey Hills, an area of Outstanding Beauty. Yes, it felt indeed like being in paradise for a few days!

I’ve been using Herriott Petz for a year now, and they have been absolutely amazing! Louise is great with our dog, and has been really mindful of his health issues, making sure he’s getting loads out of his walks without being over exerted. Louise is so knowledgeable and it’s obvious that she loves what she does and takes care of all the dogs as if they were her own! She’s been great at communicating and is professional and trustworthy. If you need a dog walker you won’t find anyone better!
I couldn’t give a more positive review. There are few people that I trust with my fur baby, but I trust Louise implicitly. When Louise started taking our dog, he suffered from separation anxiety and was quite nervous. We were really impressed as Louise understood and could read his behaviour due to her qualifications and experience. She was incredibly patient with him, and now he LOVES his walks with her. I can tell that my dog has the best time on his group walks, and I love seeing the pictures and videos of him on his adventures!

Lou and Izzy walk my dog when I go away. They are wonderful with her and so caring. She can be reactive towards other dogs and they know exactly how to handle her. If Amy meets them when I'm out with her she is so excited to see them. I often see them out with their gang in the local woods and moors and they are always so friendly and considerate of other walkers. They are very accommodating as I don't have a regular slot at the moment and always a great source of dog behaviour advice.
Louise and Iza are amazing. They love the dogs so much and Baxter loves his dog walks. He rolls over for a tummy rub whenever they arrive. I am 100% satisfied with their care. Louise has been walking our Wire Fox Terrier Wilfred since he was 10 months old, he is now nearly 3yrs. She is very experienced with dogs and their different needs and ways and has really helped and supported us in our training. At times Wilfred can be off lead which we never thought possible! Wilfred really loves his run around with the other dogs, I just need to mention her name and he’s at the door wagging his tail. She gives any feedback needed as well as lots of photos of the dogs having fun. She is extremely reliable and I trust her as I would a family member. I would look no further if you want a dog walker. We ❤️ her.
We have used Herriot Petz now for over a year and I cant recommend them highly enough! They are highly professional with a kitted out crated van to keep our dog safe during his travels too. They are really accomodating and our dog absolutely loves his walks.
I could not recommend Lyndsey and Happy Hounds enough. Our Lhasa Apso Olive has recently started going over to stay with Lyndsey and the others dogs whilst we are away or are in need of someone to have her. There is no one else that I would rather look after our dog. She is all set up with everything you need for a safe and secure environment. Whilst we were away we got regular updates not to mention the fabulous videos showing our dog having a fabulous time. Lyndsey cares very much about the dogs giving them loads of cuddles, attention and taking them on walks where they can enjoy themselves. There is no else I would trust with my dog and my dog Olive absolutely loves Lyndsey. We go away very happy knowing she will very well cared for. Her house is very dog friendly all ready for when they come to stay. Olive just makes herself like she is at home when she is at Happy Hounds she goes in and settles straight away with no hesitation. We love you Lyndsey and Happy Hounds. You are great. I definitely recommend to anyone.
I could not recommend Happy Hounds more highly, it’s brilliant. My working cocker spaniel, Spud, has been staying regularly with Lindsey for over 5 years and it’s her home away from home. If you’re looking for a place to leave your dog where they will be treated as part of the family, get lots of great exercise with doggy pals, have a sofa and cuddles then this is the place. I know Spud loves it as she doesn’t want to come home. Lindsey offers a hugely professional service, that means you can leave your dog without any worries, knowing that they’re having a great time. I wouldn’t leave Spud with anyone else. Happy Hounds is a great place, with great people! Thanks Lindsey for all the care, cuddles and ball chucks!
If you want a top class holiday home for your dog then look no further than Happy Hounds. Not only is Lyndsey professional and efficient. She just loves dogs. We have taken our dog Dylan to Happy Hounds for the last few years and he lives it and we go away happy in the knowledge he will be safe and well looked after. I can't recommend Happy Hounds highly enough.
We have been using The Happy Hounds House for a number of years now and we cannot recommend it highly enough. Lindsey is extremely thorough and professional, ensuring all legal/medical requirements etc. are met to ensure the wellbeing and safety of all of the dogs that are in her care. More than that, it is quite obvious that she absolutely loves the dogs in her care. Unfortunately, one of our dogs passed away a couple of years ago and Lindsey genuinely shared our grief and sense of loss. We currently have 3 bookings for over the next 12 months (Covid allowing) We always check Lindsey is available before we book a holiday and in fact would change our dates to suit her as we just know our Little Furry Friend is so well cared for. 5 Star Service!
Jasper, our 10 year old Havanese, loves staying at the aptly named Happy Hounds House, where Lindsey lavishes five star boarding with lots of new friends. Lindsey is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. Strange thing is our holiday was cancelled but my two cockerpoos absolutely adore her just after having a trial. To have a safe, happy 'home' to leave your precious fur baby, whether it be for a day, overnight or for a holiday is priceless, they are looked after with love and care and treated like one of the family, to see the regular video's and pictures of them having fun is honestly a highlight of each day spent away from them! And Tilly loves her Aunty Lindsey (even plays fetch for her which she doesn't for us!) X
This has been the go to place for our Tilly - a nervy little chihuahua when she first went, to a confident little lady now , she loves going to Happy Hounds - we are so totally happy with her being there - it is definitely a second home - the place oozes love and care - i can only say if you use Happy Hounds you will not use anywhere else again - just perfect
Derek provides an excellent, caring service and clearly loves animals. My 2 dogs have very different walking styles and one can be dog reactive at times. Derek did an initial visit to meet the dogs and learn all about them, which was very reassuring. I felt very confident that he understood their needs and would be able to manage them in a caring and competent manner. Both dogs were very pleased to see him each morning for their walks and he sent photos and videos showing the great time they were having. I can certainly recommend him to anyone needing help with their pets!
Derek is an absolutely brilliant Dog Walker. Extremely professional, very reliable and has an excellent app which tracks all of your dog’s walks. He has also been incredibly kind and compassionate with our puppy. She's not the easiest of pooches (reactive, woofy) but Derek has gone above and beyond to build a solid relationship with her and she now absolutely adores him. Derek continues to provide us with excellent, reliable and accommodating service. Derek knows exactly what our Freddie loves to do and allows him to do so under careful supervision. Freddie goes bananas whenever he sees Derek’s car pull up outside our house and runs to the door to greet him. We thank the day we discovered Derek and hope he continues to say yes whenever we ask for his excellent service.
We use Derek mostly for his dog walking services and Wilson, our GSD loves him. We always get a video of his walks and an update on how he has been on his walks too. We would recommend Derek to anyone needing a regular or sporadic dog walker.

Derek at K9 Time is the best dog-carer we could wish for – reliable, trustworthy and very caring. Our Belle is a loving and fun vizsla but also strong and reactive so we were looking for someone who would be fine with her complex (demanding!) nature, and we really couldn’t wish for a more caring and patient person. Derek has taken care of Belle a few times, including daily care and longer stays, and we know that she will be well looked after and given lots of attention. He sends pictures and updates regularly and that makes us feel even more comfortable leaving Belle in his hands. We can certainly recommend Derek to other dog owners and will be booking again. I can’t speak highly enough of Jo - she’s a treasure and so reliable. She’s established a lovely relationship with my cat, providing her with lots of fuss and cuddles and I know Brownie looks forward to her visits. It’s a real comfort to know she’s receiving first class care while I’m away.

Really good doggy day care and boarding. Lara and her partner took very good care of my rescue dog many times including overnight. He is a bit nervous with new dogs but Lara had him playing off leash with the others within minutes every time. She is very experienced, confident and cares about dogs. She was also very friendly and accommodating to me which I really appreciated. My dog liked her, enjoyed staying with her and would be pooped when he came home because he played so much. She is also open at the weekends which is very convenient.
My dog loves Lara! He gets so excited every time were on our way to drop him off it's incredible, especially as he's super attached to me and has separation anxiety. He's become more confident and playful with others dogs since coming here too. Lara is a very warm and caring person and it shows in everything she does. I love the photo updates too!

Lara took care of our family dog Lilly during our half term visit to the Peak District and she was amazing! It was last minute and she was very responsive, saving our holiday when the weather forced us to indoor activities for a few days and where couldn't bring the dog. She took great care of Lilly, making sure she had loads of exercise and even came home clean (it was very muddy given the weather!). Thank you so much Lara, we'll certainly be in touch again whenever we come back to the area!
Our Red and White Setter absolutely loves going to Lara, I think she’s disappointed to come home when I pick her up! We get updates and photos and I feel 100% confident in Laras’ ability to cope with all her funny rescue-dog quirks. Often we text Lara at the last minute and she’s able to accommodate us, I couldn’t recommend Life on Paws more highly!
Lara was fantastic at looking after our puppy Harvey while we welcomed our baby to the world. We were sent regular updates from walks and what he had been up to throughout the day with plenty of pictures which was lovely. Even asking for a couple extra nights stay was no problem and accommodated easily as well as extra precautions being made in case baby arrived in the middle of the night. All in all excellent service and Harvey will be sure to visit again.
We left Ralph (our 4 month old pul) with Lara for 11 nights which we were initially anxious about as it’s hard to leave your pup with anyone you don’t personally know. Lara straight away put our mind at ease. Every day we had updates and photos, he clearly had a great time and I’d recommend Life On Paws to anyone. Thank you.

These guys are amazing no qualms whatsoever leaving our dog here. A little apprehensive at first but no need to. She happily trotted off and was fine when we picked her up. Since then she's booked in another 4 times. Recommend to all. Great place great people
Great experience using this kennels for the first time, managed to fit our dogs in at very short notice, couldn't do enough to help us out and make sure we could still get on our holidays. Will definitely use again and recommend them to anyone looking for dog boarding in the Sheffield area.

Can not fault the care given to my dogs while they were boarded. Daily walks, treats and love given to all dogs boarded. I would HIGHLY recommend any one wishing to board their dogs to speak to Liz. She is such a lovely lady and extremely friendly. I wouldn’t hesitate to board my dogs there again.
Our Rottie is a pampered pooch we hate leaving him. No need to worry for a second about him getting looked after with love. He greeted us when we picked him up all smiles and very happy indeed. Would recommend these lovely people and these kennels 100%

Our little Betty was so well looked after at Auntie M’s and was so happy. We were sent pictures and videos, being quite an old lady house rabbit Monika pampered her cannot thank her enough and highly recommend her.
Monika is wonderful with our nervous rescue cat. Susie has several conditions requiring multiple medications so she is not an easy customer, but Monika always does her best to follow the many instructions we leave and sends regular updates and photos. She’s by far the most reliable pet sitter we’ve had, and reassures me when I get worried leaving her because she’s previously been very ill whilst we’ve been away. Susie wouldn’t cope in a cattery so we’re very grateful to Monika and would recommend her without hesitation.

She's incredibly friendly, professional, knowledgeable and understanding (of my two naughty bunnies who tried to eat her shed...) We were lucky enough to have Monika to care for our four guinea pigs during our holiday away. She found out all the information necessary to keep to their routine and really spent time to know and understand their individual needs and preferences in order to provide excellent care for them while we were away. She sent us photos and videos showing how settled the guinea pigs were with her which was so thoughtful and was very much appreciated. If you're looking for anyone to take care of your animals I would highly recommend her, your pets will be lucky to have her care for them!
Our rabbits mystic and Merlin have just return from another stay with Auntie M. Auntie M kept us updated with have they were doing, regularly sending photos and videos of them. Auntie M is very caring and looks after our rabbits as though they were her own. Would highly recommend.
My cat Sophie loves Monika and so do we, we wouldn't dream of leaving her in anyone else's care when we are away, she feeds her and gives her medication as needed, gave her cat treats in our auto feeder as we requested, cleaned litter tray and sent us videos and photos of her to us. Just watching the videos we could tell how settled Sophie was and happy 😊 with Monika, we could enjoy our holiday knowing Sophie was getting the best of care.

We have a cat with urinary disease which is worsened with stress so finding the right person to look after her when we are away was really important. We had tried a few other cat sitters before but Monika is absolutely fantastic. She visited us first to make sure she had all the right information and answer any questions we had. She sent us updates, pictures and videos whilst we were away which put our minds at rest that she was fine. We came back to a very relaxed cat, who for the first time didn't seem bothered we had been away! Would 100% recommend Monika 😊

Our sausage dog Lulu had the most amazing time here. She hasn’t had many days and nights away from our family and this was the longest time she has been away but Hannah made us both feel so reassured on how well looked after the dogs are here and provided plenty of updates to know Lulu was having a lovely time! Lulu will definitely be staying here again and we feel very lucky and relieved we have found somewhere like this for her to stay when we are next away.
I was obviously anxious about leaving Nancy, Vivienne & Gloria for the first time whilst I travelled abroad but I needn’t have been…they had a blast..! They were treated as well as their own dogs, with endless cuddles, treats and playtime. Consequently they came back happy & healthy. I would not think twice of booking them in again (already planning my next trip.!). Thank you so much for everything x

My miniature wire haired Jerry absolutely loves staying at the Sausage Dog Sanctuary! The whole family give him so much love and look after him so well. It’s a really family atmosphere there and it doesn’t feel like he’s staying at a boarders in any way. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend, especially if you have a nervous dachshund.
My Sausage Milo stayed here for 3 nights while I was away with work, what a superb place in a lovely area, will definitely be back xx

Wonderful animal handling experience for my snake obsessed daughter’s 8th birthday party. They were fantastic with the children making it both fun and informative for them. We booked after having such a great experience at one of their sessions at the steel cauldron.
Great morning. Declan and Deborah were incredibly knowledgeable and kept the kids (and adults!) well engaged throughout. Nothing was too much for them and everyone had more than enough time with the animals. Would highly recommend.
Scales and Tails host amazing animals handling experiences for children and adults alike! I had one of their birthday parties for adults for myself and a few friends. We met loads of animals and it was clear they were incredibly knowledgeable about their pets. Because I did the party in their home aswell it was great to see where the animals lived too. They helped us take pictures as a group and helped those who were less confident in growing other over the course of the party!
Deb has looked after both our old cat and our current cat for us, whether just popping in if we've got a long day at work or if we've gone away for a few days. She's very attentive to each animals needs, and wants to get to know the pets before she looks after them so that she is a friendly face rather than astranger entering their home.
