When we first saw that this housesitting opportunity involved caring for 8 rescue dogs, 8 chickens and partial care for 3 donkeys we certainly wondered what we would be getting in to. However, after reading the reviews of other housesitters and having a WhatsApp call with Menno and Puck, we felt really good about applying and got excited when we were accepted. The sit turned out great! The house and yard are so suitable for the dogs and their feeding plan and sleeping arrangements are very manageable. Puck and Menno prepared us well, provided all the instructions and back up contacts and provided a vehicle for us to have day trips to explore Ronda. They were a delight to visit with both before and after the sit and we really did get attached to their dogs. If you get an opportunity to housesit for them, go for it! We would certainly love to return one day.
We had an amazing time at Jamie & Karen’s cosy and spacious family home in the beautiful location of West Sussex. The house and chickens were easy to take care of and communication with Jamie was easy and timely. The options for dog walks were in abundance, whether in their field, nearby, on the Downs Link or the beaches when venturing further afield. Buddie and Inca are both gems, very affectionate and easy to care for, and we miss them already! We’d love to spend time with them again.
What a great sit. Gab and Ben have a beautiful home that is very comfortable. I was made to feel very welcome and they were very easy to communicate and deal with. Elvis is the most adorable dog ever. So friendly and affectionate. And also really chilled and low maintenance. Just loved my days hanging out with my new buddy. I’d gladly sit again.
We had a wonderful time in Whistler, thoroughly enjoying our stay. Bex's charming personality made our experience even more enjoyable, and we appreciated Debbie's kindness during our stay. We truly appreciated the opportunity to stay there.
Really enjoyed my stay and getting to know Lily and Pono!
Loved Salome'. She's so friendly and would interact with me asking for massages. Easy to care for with an outside run alleviating any concerns that she would come home. Wonderful sit and situated in South Amherst with easy access to many attractions.
