A great time spent with two chilled out and very gentle cats Fabio and Tallulah at Farncombe an easy run by train from London. Suzy and Marc left us with excellent notes and were always in easy reach while on their trip. The house is comfortable with everything you would need and more including big screen TV and fridge internet screen....not something I had seen before and very handy for selecting youtube music etc while organising lunch! There is a garden with comfortable seating and we were blessed with sunshine and blue skies for the whole sit so made good use of that with the cats joining us. We were lucky to catch some great live music at a pub at the end of the street (Crackling Jack) and at The Cricketers on the other side of the railway we had a decent meal. There is a good Chinese and Fish & Chip shop close to the house and a very convenient local supermarket and good cafe. We walked by the River Wey into Godalming which has interesting independent shops and we took the train into Guildford which has a great farmers market, lots of eating options and garden and castle walks. All in all this was a really nice sit and thanks for inviting us! Five star!
It was a really lovely experience sitting for Alyson. Alyson and her partner were really friendly and great communicators! They gave excellent instructions on how to take care of their cats that were still in bonding period. We fell in love with Haku and Aki and it was sad to leave them! They both have unique personalities and both showed us love and became our friends. We also truly enjoyed walks in Dalkeith Country Park, which is stunning at this time of the year and is just a few minutes away from Alyson's place. Thank you for this sweet experience!
We loved, loved, loved our time at Sandy and Jon's lovely home with all the animals! They were both very accommodating for us when coordinating this housesit, giving us advice and recommendations from the minute we accepted. When we arrived they made us comfortable, gave us dinner and walked us through the routine for the animals, as well as giving us local recommendations for the surrounding areas which we barely scratched the surface on! They made sure we had everything we needed and kept in touch regarding any matters during the sit, as well as how things were generally. We settled in quickly and the animals all got to know us in due course, however the dogs were our besties throughout and we miss them dearly. They are super friendly, love attention and really easy to manage, which is handy when you've got to juggle full time work as well (Wifi speeds are impressively fast!). But in all honesty, this felt more like a retreat than a housesit! It is charming, secluded, peaceful, and you really can feel like you are in your own bubble with everything you need. Also, we loved finding any excuse to use the tractor in the fields, and my other half even spent his entire birthday out on the lawn mower as it was so nice to be outside, especially when the weather was good! All in all, a wonderful sit, and without doubt want come back in the future!
Noelle is the funniest and most down-to-earth cat lover of three little fur babies; Fatty, Buddha & Freaky. Noelle’s description of each cat was incredibly accurate making it easy as a sitter to cater to their personalities and build rapport quickly. Freaky Deaky stayed with some of Noelle’s friends but we had the pleasure of being in Buddha and Fatty’s company for 2.5 weeks. Fatty is definitely the boss of the household; demanding affection, always occupying the sunniest spot on the balcony and wandering over to the toys to indicate she is in the mood to play. Buddha was a shy and polite little boy who surfaced from his hidey hole for meals, snuggles (only once the humans had settled into a couch) and play time, otherwise, he’d sit somewhere quietly and happily watch the world go by. Noelle left her apartment in an immaculate condition with all the equipment you need for both indoor and outdoor fun (Netflix, Playstation, board games, plenty of cooking utensils, fluid for the portable BBQ and a couple of Wickelfisch for swimming in the Rhine). The apartment was spacious for two people offering many places for sits and string chasey with the cats. We are so grateful for the sit and we absolutely fell in love with Fatty and Buddha. Celine was super responsive and made sure I had all the info and preparation needed for the sit even though it was confirmed one day prior. She was always available and helpful during the stay despite being on vacation. Xeno and Teds<3 They are the cutest sweetest boys and will be great company during your stay. Xeno is the biggest cuddle bug and will be right there to snuggle with at all times. He definitely requires someone with dog experience and someone quite strong on walks as he gets excited around other dogs but I never had any major issues. Teds is sweet and calm and will spend most the day sleeping, except when he wants food :) The area is GORGEOUS. As a native new yorker, I love loved being next to central park and it was a beautiful, safe, family friendly area. The apartment was clean and fully equipped with everything I needed. Thanks Celine!
I had an amazing time with Mavis at Rebecca's beautiful house ! Rebecca invited me over the night before to get to know each other before she left, had amazing dinner together and a first experience walking with Mavis ! Mavis is sweet, independant but will never leave your side too long :) I definitely recommend this sit to anyone !
