This is an ideal housesit in many ways. Juliet and Dave’s charming cottage has stunning views over the Severn Vale and the Cotswolds. The four cats are easy to care for and bad-boy Oscar quickly became a favorite. He’ll jump on your lap anytime! Feeding the chickens is also easy with the added bonus of fresh eggs every morning. And then there’s caring for the lovely horses, Honey, Selva and Oakey - mixing food for Honey, bringing hay for them and mucking out the field. It was a great morning ritual. As with most country living, it’s pretty active so you have to be up for it. There’s a beautiful atmospheric redwood forest a stone’s throw from the house where you can walk for hours without seeing a soul. And then there’s May Hill itself, where on a clear day you have a stunning 360 view. Communications with Juilet and Dave were excellent and they greeted me the night before they left with a lovely meal. Thank you!! I look forward to another time, whenever it may be!! I highly recommend this housesit.
Had a fantastic sit here. The house is beautiful and in its own grounds with breathtaking views and peace and quiet. Darcey is lovely so affectionate and full of energy she's very good on walks if she does run off to chase a rabbit she will come back after calling her. The 2 cats tend to do their own thing but I did get some nice cuddles from them. The sheep are really sweet and good fun to feed. Claire is really friendly and laid back and left me full details on the sit so there was nothing I didn't understand etc. I would highly recommend this sit
Jenny was a great and understanding communicator from the beginning. She was patient in answering my questions leading up to the sit, and I got to meet her before she headed out on her trip, which was lovely and made for an easy transition. Now, let's talk about Peach. Peach is a peach. (For real though.) She's quite a lady! She's smart and affectionate at times but also does her own thing, takes your lead on the day's events and routines, but knows her own walk and feeding schedule too and will remind you, and I got a kick out of watching her look out the front window of Jenny's beautiful house. Peach was super easy to walk, only pulling at times when she saw squirrels (she LOVES squirrels), but she seemed to know there was a human at the other end of the leash and never ran full speed ahead (or up a tree) and as someone who used to own a big dog who would, I so appreciated Peach's restraint. She seemed to want me to brush her in the mornings and so that became part of the routine I enjoyed. She also asked for treats a lot and since Jenny gave the green light to spoil her on those that was fun to do. (Baked delights seemed to be her favorite.) Peach even let me sleep in when I needed to, which was so sweet of her, and quite a treat, especially on Jenny's cozy bed with curtains that could make the room dark. The few times I went out, it was heart warming to see Peach's happy face in that window overlooking the driveway when I pulled in. Oh, yes, I got to park in the driveway, which is a dream in LA. The view from the upper deck of the LA skyline is AMAZING; the birdsong and crows and greenery in the yard and the peaceful neighborhood with beautiful houses were a delight. There are shops, restaurants, and a weekend farmer's market (was it Sunday?) I explored just a walk away, the Silver Lake reservoir, stairs, and cool houses. I missed Peach, the house, and the neighborhood as soon as I left and I hope I can sit here again.
First, Lori was so incredibly welcoming. She went out of her way to have local area brochures and hiking books available for us. Second, the pups (Lacey and Barney) were absolutely joyful to spend time with (Barney is an expert sneak face licker!). Lastly, Lori's home was perfectly located for Asheville and the Pisgah National Forest. Weaverville's eateries were also fantastic: especially Well-Bred, Twisted Laurel, and Glass Onion. We loved our time at Lori's and with her delightful pups.
Anne and Richard were warm, friendly, very generous hosts. Due to a last-minute injury, Richard joined us for the sit. This was a first for us to sit while the host was still present. It turned out to be an excellent adventure! He is very interesting and interested. We became fast friends. They made us feel very welcomed and appreciated. Their large, beautiful, well appointed home is set in a lovely tree filled neighborhood. It is close to everything. Forest Park is two minutes away for many of St. Louis’s must do’s! There are many great restaurants nearby on the Delmar Loop. You couldn’t have asked for a better location. The neighbors were extremely nice and welcoming, even having us over for dinner! The yard and pool are lined with beautiful flowers, plants, herbs, and even a vegetable garden which require watering each day in the August heat. The pool was very welcoming on the warm summer days. Of course the star of the sit was Winston! He loves people and we quickly became“ his peeps“. He is the sweetest little thing, and just wants to be by your side. When he looks at you with those soulful eyes it makes your heart melt! You can’t help but fall in love with him! He loves his walks, treats, and to sleep with you! He is the best little companion ever. This is definitely a five star sit and we will gladly return when our schedules match again!

We have used the services of Ailsa at Creature Comforts on several occasions short and long stays for our two dogs and they are so happy. We were so overjoyed to find this wonderful home boarding business as we had found it difficult to find anywhere apart from kennels which our boys hate. Ailsa and Andy have provided first class care for our 2 spaniels and a crazy terrier! We go away regularly and sometimes for fairly long periods, and our pups are always well looked after and happy - little terrier LOVES being with the other residents! This is a Godsend for anyone looking for the personal touch for their precious dogs.
When we first moved to Wales I was worried that we wont find a 'kennel-free' option for our Rhodesian Ridgeback, Rocky, when we have to visit family in South Africa. But finding Creature Comforts came as such a relief! Ailsa has now looked after Rocky twice - both short and long stay and I would use her again and again. She has a lovely friendly demeanor which immediately puts any pet at ease. Rocky loved his stay with her as she treated him like he was part of the family - the same way we treat him at home. He was taken on numerous walks and was allowed to roam free,in the same way we do on our walks at home. I am very very happy with Ailsa's service as she takes the time to get to know each dog individually and cares for their personal individual needs as a result. This is great, as no dog is the same. We were away from our beloved Rocky for 4 weeks and I did not worry once as I knew he was in the best hands possible. Will recommend Creature Comforts any day! Definitely using their service again.
I will only use Creature Comforts to board my dog. It means that I can go away without any worries, assured that she is being properly cared for. Ailsa has also always been very flexible with both short and long stays which has helped me organise anything from a weekend away to a 3 week break. Highly recommended and much better value than kennels.

I would recommend ailsa I have no worries leaving Tess with her I know she is being well looked after Tess wasn’t sure the first time she went but was happy when I picked her up Second time she went she Was happy to see ailsa and just jumped straight into her car as if to say bye mum I’m off lol.i would recommend ailsa without hesitation and Tess as found her Second home i wouldn’t send her anywhere else thank you so much ailsa for looking after my baby.😊
We have used creature comforts now for around 7 years and I will not go anywhere else . From the moment you meet Ailsa and her family then you know your dogs are in good hands and you can then enjoy your break or holiday without a care . My 2 dogs actually cant wait to get out of the car when we arrive as they love being there . I genuinely feel as the dogs feel it's a home from home and the value of that is immeasurable

Meg looked after our lovely boy for a month whilst we relocated to North Wales. Meg was helpful, caring and kind, fitting in and changing dates as required. Meg's cat hotel is a cattery on another level of cat luxury, so I have no hesitation in saying that this is the best service I have seen for pet boarding. Five star review for a five star service.
Great place for your pets to go whilst you are away. The owner, Meg lives and breaths her charges. We've booked out cat Wellington in for two stays this year and another in Jan 2024. Pre booking visits are actively encouraged so you can have a look round before booking.
Absolutely lovely place took such good care of my fur baby, while me and hubby celebrated our wedding anniversary! High recommend! And my boy loved having his own holiday to make new friends.
A big thank you to The Pet Joint for looking after Pig so well while we were away. He clearly had a fab time watching fish tv, chilling on the chaise longue and watching the birds outside. A lovely touch having photos posted on Facebook (it is if you’re crazy cat people like us 🤣). Great communication and clearly so much care in what they do. Would highly recommend for cats, dogs and small animals 💕
Our lively labrador stayed with steve and meg and their canine companions while we got married and went on honeymoon. Not only did they go the extra mile by offering a chaperone service so our boy could be at the wedding they thoroughly looked after him while we were away. The daily updates of photographs of him enjoying his dog holiday put our mind at ease, he was not missing us too much. So much so that it almost looked like he was far more interested in where his canine pals where when we picked him up. I would use and reccomend the pet joint again and again. What can I say? I chose The Pet Joint after asking on FB for recommendations as I wasn't from the area. Originally booked in for a few days, our Puffle ended up staying for three weeks due to a stressful and uncertain house move. I never once felt like an imposition & was continually told by Meg that it didn't matter and Puffle would be welcome to stay as long as necessary. Meg is an absolute credit to petcare and I am in no doubt that she treats all her charges as if they were her own. I wouldn't hesitate to use The Pet Joint again. Thank you so much 🤗
We booked our two cats and dog in for a short break at Pet Joint and were suitably impressed. The care and attention was second to none and the rooms and furnishings were really luxurious. Our little ones enjoyed the experience and arrived back with glowing coats and lots of new friends. Definitely worth considering if you love your pet and want them to enjoy a home away from home! Meg and Steve provide a first-rate, top quality, dog boarding service. Like other dog owners who won’t use kennels, we searched for ages for a suitable alternative for our dog and found it at The Pet Joint. Set in gorgeous North Wales countryside, the dogs have large grounds in which to exercise, sleep in their own, very spacious, rooms and have round-the-clock professional care and attention. Highly recommended.

Fantastic Kennels, my two girls will go nowhere else. Experienced staff, clean, no ‘dog’ smell, fixed drop off/ collection times allowing the dogs quiet time which a lot of kennels don’t have. They always make every effort to assist with your requirements and have the dogs best interests as their focus. Highly recommend.
Highly recommended. Our puppy is always happy to go for a day care while we are at work. He stayed for 11 nights when we were away and we are so grateful for the care! Big shout out to you all!
Farm box was amazing so much to choose from, they also have ice cream for dogs at a really good price too! The goats and horses there are super friendly and they didn't seam fazed by my dog, there are some lovely beaches if you wish to sit outside and a bonus the actual box it's self it all wheelchair accessible!
After a bad experience at another kennel it was with trepidation leaving our Irish Setter Molly at kennels again. It turns out I had no need to worry. The kennels have been exceptional at how they looked after Molly. Returning phone calls when I left a message to enquire how she was. Making sure she had her medicines and keeping Molly and her bed clean. I returned to a very happy dog. Thank you Dewi and the team for taking such good care of her
Our rescue dog went to these kennels for 8years and when we moved to Worcester we travelled to N. Wales to use them. Dewi was marvellous with her. As she became old and very unwell we had to leave her with loads of medication which was given religiously. We cannot praise them enough and have no hesitation in recommending them. Dewi was very caring always taking notice of her individual needs. She was very happy to go there.
I wouldn't leave my dogs any where else. They know when their going there and get very excited. Dewi does great job. Well looked after. If your dog needs medication he will do this for you. Best kennels we have been to.
My bichon frise Daisy and Ben have spent the last 9 days at Brookhouse kennels. They have been staying here for the past could of years now and I can't praise them enough. I have tried other kennels and have been left feeling guilty for leaving my furbabies as they never settled. Dewi is great with them, they love seeing him and they are more than happy to go into the kennels, they are well looked after, walked twice a day, the kennels are clean and not overcrowded, it is the perfect place for my dogs to stay while we are on holiday. I would recommend Brookhouse kennels to anyone looking for somewhere safe to leave your beloved pets. I can go on holiday knowing my furbabies are in good hands.
My dog Barney is 2 1/2 years old and has been going to Dewi at brookhouse since he was very little ...he is always very happy to see him and doesnt look back from the moment he leaves the car...the negative comments totally took me by surprise! I have NO QUALMS leaving Barney in their care ....they also boarded my previous dog Oscar...same story...he loved going there and they took amazing care of him too...i cannot recommend Brookhouse highly enough and am thankful a place like this exists to look after my pecious dog ...thank u all at brookhouse
I was taken very ill, unexpectedly, and found myself in hospital for a long time, weeks rather than days, IT WAS NO CHOICE, I too was told they have TV,? I doubt the dogs have one each in their ROOMS? , my dogs came home stinking of urine and faeces with dreadlocks full of poo dragging on the floor behind them, though TV is available the dog obviously is forced to live its own mess, we all know our own dogs not a one will deliberately choose to lie down in its own mess, I said they could share a kennel, hoping the dogs would have each other for company and maybe it might reduce the cost a little, more fool me.!!! There was a old lady a pensioner on the same ward as me, she was going demented worrying about her dogs two tiny things you could put in your pocket, bless her, she was calling every day for news on her dogs, BUT like me could never get anyone to answer the dam phone, THIS WAS HOSPITAL WE WERE IN, NOT SUNNING OURSELVES IN THE SOUTH OF FRANCE, so we had a hospital bed and dogs in common and we chatted, THIS BROOKHOUSE place was charging her the same price for two tiny pups as I was paying for two German shepherd's, JUST WRONG?!! I did report the state of my dogs to the official body in the council that give out the licences for these places, their reply was they do provide the essential requirements. BROOKHOUSE reply was WE DO NOT PROVIDE GROOMING SERVICES, it seams to me they leave the TV on clean the poo out once a day feed them once a day, I even sent my dogs with their own food they were used to so not to upset their stomach, no reduction in charge for providing your own food either, This kennel has the contract with the council as the go to kennel when people old or otherwise are taken ill who have nobody to help out with their pets, DISGUSTING, I am happy to be able to put this feedback on here, as nobody cared a few years ago, if they have changed hands or improved since all I can say is NOT BEFORE TIME, what made them think it was OK to take £200 every ten days off a pensioner in hospital who needed two yorkie puppies taking care of, or to leave my shepherd's to lie in their own dirt and urine
I've never seen our dogs so excited to go in. They are so well looked after whilst they are there.
We have not tried using boarding kennels before, but having known of Dani Whines and her great reputation for sometime we knew our 2 dogs would be safe and well looked. Our collies were dropped off on Friday morning with their beds and weekend bag! Francesca met us, welcomed the boys and showed them around and their weekend accommodation. From the moment they arrived they looked perfectly relaxed and I knew they were in good hands I had updates from Dani to put our minds at rest. The boys had thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending Hendre Farmhouse Boarding Kennels to anyone unsure about using kennels, we will definitely be using them again in the future knowing the boys will be in safe hands and probably having a better holiday than us! Excellent kennels with plenty of space. Owner Dani is a very knowledgeable and friendly person. Sensibly priced. My dog came away from his stay behaving very happy and stress free.
Our dog hates being in Kennels and on the occasions we've had to send him to one in the past he has come out having not eaten, behaving badly. Staying at Hendre seems to have been a far more positive experience for him, we will certainly bare them in mind in the future
I first needed to kennel my dog when she was 8 yrs old, so naturally i was apprehensive, not only because of her age but because she was a rescue and so a little skittish at times. Hendre kennels came recommended to me so i gave them a try. I can honestly say its the best decision i made. They are so caring and patient as well as being friendly and welcoming. Like i said my dog is a rescue so she has a "quirky" personality haha.....in other words she can be moody, sulky, picky and sometimes just plain ignorant!! Dani and her team have welcomed all her quirks and love her to bits which makes my holidays even better knowing my girl is in the best hands. I cannot praise and recommend Hendre Kennels enough they really are the best.
Our Poodle Elsa was only staying for two nights but Dani and everyone couldn't have been more accommodating. Dani even went the extra mile after we left behind Elsa's teddy bear and she posted it back home to us in the West Midlands!
Amazing place This is the best kennels I ever found they are friendly treat your dog like there own, my dogs love it here. The lady is lovely who runs it and can't do enough for you and always puts herself out to help you. I couldn't thank this kennels enough thank you your all amazing x x

I couldn't be happier with Kelly and her family for taking such good care of my Boston, Bertie. They were warm, welcoming and you can tell they love being surrounded by dogs. They took the booking at short notice and also sent me some great videos and pics too. I could tell from the videos what a fantastic time my pooch had! Would highly recommend.
Definitely send your dog here! Kelly and Chloe looked after our Boston Gordy while we visited Wales from Liverpool for a weeks holiday. They were absolutely amazing! Our whole holiday would have been ruined as we couldn't have stayed in the caravan with the heat as it would have been dangerously hot for him of a day. He overheats really quickly and they definitely kept him safe. He was so happy going there and ran in as soon as the door was open without a backwards glance. It really is a home from home and I felt so comfortable leaving him there. I wasn't worrying all day if he was okay as I knew he was having a great time. As soon as you go in you just know they love dogs. Only downside is Gordy is going to miss going there now we are back home! Such good value for money as well. If we lived nearer he would be going full time
My little dog Hemingway is very precious to us and I was so glad we found Teddy's friends . We were away for two weeks and he had a wonderful time playing with Teddy and being part of a lovely family. We had lots of videos and photos and it was great knowing he was happy and not worrying about him. When we picked him up he had been bathed and pampered as well and I think he is actually missing his friend Teddy as well. I cannot recommend this pet sitting services enough and will definitely be a repeat customer. Lovely family who genuinely care about dogs
I am so lucky to have found Teddy's friends pet sitting service. Kelly is amazing. She has such a passion for what she is doing. Wilson our 2 year old cockapoo absolutely loves going and when I arrive, he races up the drive each time to Kelly who is always waiting for him, along with Teddy. Kelly's partner Craig, and daughter Chole are just as welcoming and the three of them, along with Teddy make a wonderful team. Everything is fantastic for the dogs, lots of toys, comfy beds, a clean secure house and garden, and a paddling pool for the warmer days. Kelly never takes too many dogs, so you know that she will have time for each dog, and they will be cared for during their stay. Teddy her own dog loves welcoming his friends and Wilson always comes home tired and happy after a lovely day with Teddy and his friends. Kelly sometimes baths him and gives him a doggy massage which he loves! I cannot praise Kelly enough, and feel so thankful that I can go to work knowing Wilson is safe. Its such a huge relief to have found Kelly who I know genuinely loves and cares for Wilson like I do. Thank you.
Teddy's friends is extremely friendly and welcoming a home from home feel were your Dog has the freedom to come and go as it pleases !! Kelly is great with the dogs and is Obviously a big dog lover and it shows in her manner towards your pet. My dog has had a terrific time there today enjoying fun with Teddy who is adorable. Kelly and her family really care about dogs. They have a big garden and the dogs have a good run of the house. She is very quick to reply and nothing is too much trouble. I thought my dog would not get on with other dogs but he can't wait to get in through the door! I would definitely recommend Kelly. I feel safe leaving my dog in her hands.
Buddy our 8 month old English Springer spaniel has been going to Kelly since he was 12 weeks old for day care, he's just done an 11 night stay while we went on holiday with Kelly, Craig her partner, chloe her daughter and of course Ted Kelly's adorable shih tzu. He honestly couldn't of been in better hands, she followed our routine with Buddy and even facetime us while we was away. She sent plenty pictures & videos of buddy, which made our time away from him a lot easier!! We picked him up & he'd had a pamper afternoon, he was so clean, fluffy and smelling amazing. He loves going to Kelly's and always comes home exhausted after a fun day playing with his friends. This makes my day so much easier when I pick him up after work as I know hes had plenty exercise throughout the day so he just want to get on the sofa and cuddle. I can't thank Kelly, Craig, chloe & Ted enough. Obviously with Buddy being a Springer he has lots of energy and hes never too much trouble for Kelly, Buddys formed a bond with Kelly and I'm at ease when hes there. She has a big garden which buddy loves to run around in. A clean, dog friendly, loving home and I'm so happy we found Kelly and i highly recommend to anyone. Thank you again xx
When my husband was rushed to hospital while we were on holiday in Caerwys I had no idea what to do with my precious rescue pups. I knew they couldn’t be left in a hot car but I had nowhere and no one for them to go to. I called Kelly and she said to bring them over and this was an absolute godsend! They’d never been to kennels (aside from the dogs home they came from) or day care and I was worried to leave them, but Kelly kept me updated and meant I could just worry about my husband not my fur babies! Thank you so much Kelly, Cookie and Hobnob had a fantastic fun day with you after a stressful night. I’d give 6 stars if I could!
I recently came up to Ryhl for work, bringing my frenchie humphrey. This family team is amazing, very friendly and sensitive to my concerns with leaving him somewhere new. It is obvious they love not only their own dog, but those in their care also. Cannot reccommend them highly enough, they are brilliant. I felt so comfortable with them that i had no problem leaving humphrey overnight while i travelled for work, i always get bsck a very tired, happy puppy. I will definitely be using them again when i return in the new year.
What a gem! I can't rate this service highly enough! Took my dog for an overnight stay, he had a fab time. Kelly and her family kept us up to date with the fun he was having and sent us photos and videos of his day. When we collected he was smelling of baby talc and dressed with a bow tie 🥰 thank you so much, will definitely use you again.

We have used Plas Hafod with our dog for years and she loves going. Everyone there are so welcoming and we all ways pick up a happy and well looked after dog.
I have used Plas Hafod Kennels since 2003 and they come highly recommended. I brought my dogs here when they were puppies and they have stayed here ever since when we’ve been away. I would not go anywhere else as these kennels are the best. The dogs have regular walks and there is paddock to play in. There is a groom room where your doggy can have a bath, clip and blow dry. (Patch loved his baths there) Nothing is too much trouble and the proprietors, Hugh and Gillian, who are very friendly and accommodating. I would not hesitate to recommend Plas Hafod, they get a five star review!

We have been using Plas Hafod Kennels for the last couple of years. I would not send my dog anywhere else. This is a fantastic kennels and my dog loves going. The kennels has a secure paddock that the dogs use to play in. It's great for socialisation. I highly recommend this kennels. I use them if I'm going somewhere for the day where I can't take my boy to aswell as when we holiday. It's good to have peace of mind. My dog goes in and comes out happy and that's what we all want for our pets.
Excellent kennels, Gillian is always very helpful if my bookings need to be amended. The kennels themselves are secure, immaculate and set in a lovely location where the dogs are walked regularly. I have used them for years and my dogs are always well looked after, never had any issues and they have been their for upto 4 weeks at a time. Could not speak more highly of them.
My 9 year old lab has stayed twice over the last 6 months, having never stayed in Kennels before. I was a little apprehensive, as he is not great with other dogs/people, tending to bark at both. Hugh and Gill are great with him. He is really relaxed when he goes in, no barking involved. He has separate walks so there is no problem with agression to other dogs. The kennels are clean and the grounds are lovely. I would highly recommend
Excellent! Accommodated our dog last minute, they encourage a viewing before you book which is encouraging and on visiting all the dogs look happy and well cared for. On collection our dog was happy to see us but we could tell he had been happy and well looked after at his time in plas Hafod. Will absolutely be using these kennels again.
A little spark came into my life at my darkest hour 9 years ago in the form of a Parson Jack Russell. She is precious to me and accordingly lives a precious and pampered lifestyle . Recently for the first time I needed to kennel her. She has now been to Plas Hafod kennels twice. I cannot thank Gill enough for caring for Sparky and will always be grateful to know I can be away from home and she will be safe and secure in a warm, caring environment … I have nothing but praise for Plas Hafod Kennels 😊Thank you .
We’ve been coming to Plas Hafod for a few months now, and all I can say is how wonderful it is. Gillian & Hugh are really lovely and always have the time for a chat, the kennels are immaculate and the play areas are secure. Our boys are always happy when we drop them off and don’t ever look back! If you want your dogs to be looked after and happy then this is the place for you.
