What a perfect sit! I spent three days in Monique’s and Dave’s home in Hindhead and only wished I had the chance to stay for longer. It is a great place for long stays as you have there everything you need for a digital nomadic life. The house is very spacious, very clean and tastefully decorated. There is plenty of storage space even if you carry stuff for a couple of months in your luggage like I do. There is a lovely large office area in the attic, which is bathed in sunlight, and the Internet worked well during my whole stay. There is even a free room where I could do my yoga. However, my favourite form of exercise was taking Roxy (the dog) for long walks in the surrounding forests. This is a very beautiful region of England with lots of trails to explore and it felt very safe to do this together with Roxy. She is an amazing pooch: to start with, she is gorgeous and super friendly. She loves human company, human cuddles and she followed me everywhere. However, she was never pushy and always waited for me patiently if I was not available for her at the moment. A happy dog, she loves to play, especially in the morning when she is full of energy – tug of war and catching & fetching balls seemed to be her favourites. A very easy sit for which Monique and Dave timely provided clear and well-organised instructions, including for two trails which I so much enjoyed doing with Roxy. In addition, on the day of my arrival, Monique took me for a walk with Roxy and explained which ways I could go. Both she and her partner are very kind and friendly and I enjoyed our conversations. Thank you very much, Monique, Dave and Roxy for hosting me!
This was a wonderful housesit! Lindsey and Sam are kind, generous and thoughtful hosts. They welcomed me and my sister into their home and made me feel comfortable immediately. They met with me on the day they departed and spent the time needed to give me a tour of their home and their vegetable and flower gardens. Communications with Lindsey was easy and she answered all my questions before and during the housesit. Their home is big, very comfortable and located on a quiet street with friendly neighbors. It is conveniently located close to parks, beaches, grocery stores and great restaurants. Portland is just a few minutes drive away. The Portland Museum is certainly worth a visit. The highlight of the housesit was Cooper, the cat. He is very friendly and sweet. He enjoys relaxing next to you on the couch or in the bed. He loves head rubs and cuddles. He has many places in the house where he enjoys spending time napping. He goes outside during the day and reappears at dinnertime. He has a good cat friend in the neighborhood who also visits the back porch and seems to join Cooper in his outside adventures. This housesit was only for Cooper, as Molly, the dog, joined the family on their vacation. If you have an opportunity to housesit for this family, don't hesitate to accept. I highly recommend this housesit and would happily return in the future.
My stay with Stanley and Heidi was fabulous! They’re super cute and have such personalities. Jeff and Eney were great communicators and their house is a lovely + clean CB getaway.
Conduct/accommodating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Over demanding workload: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hygiene/cleanliness: ⭐⭐⭐⭐✩ Comfortableness: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ease of parking: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pet behavior: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Response rate: ⭐⭐⭐⭐✩ Accuracy: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Checkout: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Check in: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Location: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Privacy: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lorna was a great host and Lily was lovely to take care of! It is truly beautiful in this region and I would recommend it. The only thing I'd improve is the washer hygiene. I most certainly enjoyed having a garden to look at again and watch over. The large house is very accommodating and great for pets.
Bug is one of our favorite dogs we have met yet as petsitters! He is extremely sweet, playful and cuddly. He is very well-behaved and fun to go on walks with in the beautiful neighborhood that Haley lives in. He brought so much joy. As a previous LA-resident, I can tell you this is one of the coolest and most walkable areas of the city. Haley's home is very comfortable and calming to spend time in, and well-equipped for remote workers.
