Fantastic guests and great dog lovers!
I had an absolutely wonderful time staying in Santa Monica with Eva's sweet cat, Fortunato. He was friendly and snuggly and very easy to care for! Eva left me with all the information I needed, plus some recommendations for the area. I had the pleasure of meeting her the night before her trip began, and she was communicative and always helpful while away. The house is in a great area- walking distance from anything you could possibly need. I would happily sit for Eva again, and highly recommend this sit to others! Thanks again for having me, Eva!
Providing support , food, walks, and affection to Lyla, Ozzie, Lola and Jules was a realy joy and privilege. All four are wonderful company, and know their routines well. Carla and Bryan are lovely people and make sure you have all you need for a sucessfull and enjoyable sit - great information, comfortable home and supplies, and regular updates and contacts. Barnes is also a beautiful area to stay ( I pet sit in the area often) with wonderful walks on the commons, plus easy train access into London, or Richmond. Putney and the Thames is close by. Very highly recommended. Helen
It was such a pleasure to look after Pamira, Jelondy and Canaille. I had difficulty telling the cats apart physically but they have different personalities and are both so cuddly and a lot of fun. Canaille’s range of whistling is extensive and, at times, quite hilarious. All three were excellent company for the three weeks I was there and so easy to look after. The apartment is really spacious and beautifully decorated and has such a lovely energy. Petronella, the housekeeper, came and looked after the house each week which was fabulous. Even though most places were closed as Kenya had just gone into semi-lockdown, I really enjoyed the neighbourhood and got to visit various places in the city during my stay at the apartment. The Kenyans are absolutely lovely and friendly. I hope to go back to enjoy it even more when the country has opened up again. Véro and her family are so nice and Véro was always available on WhatsApp to answer questions. Communication was fluid the entire time I was there. A lovely, highly recommended pet sit.
Louie is a sweet affectionate cat and he was fun to spend time with. MaryAnn was kind, generous, and accomodating. The house is beautiful and the neighborhood is so quiet but also very convenient to Multnomah Village shops. We hope to see Louie and MaryAnn again!
What a fabulous sit. A gorgeous dog, sweet cat, easy care chickens and a wonderful home to hang out in. Lindsey & Andre were generous hosts, preparing a lovely meal the evening before and doing a thorough handover for us. Prince is very affectionate and we enjoyed the many walks straight from the door. A typical lab you have to watch him with food around and resist those big brown eyes which imply he hasn't been fed for a week! Nellie is very independent and very beautifully marked, she comes and goes as she pleases but was happy to have a stroke from time to time. There are 15 chickens who provide eggs every day, but are easy to look after. Lindsey is a keen gardener so there is some watering to do but nothing too onerous. We enjoyed the first crop of asparagus which was delicious. The swimming pool, hot tub and tennis court are an added bonus and make it a great sit to do.
We've taken care of slot of dogs in many places around the world, and I can honestly say that Birdie is truly the most wonderful dog of them all. She was a total pleasure to spend time with and take care of; she's gorgeous to look at, has a beautiful nature, is very well trained and able to run around with boundless energy, as well as completely relax when that's what you want to do. We would look after her again in a heartbeat. Besides that, Beth and Matt are very hospitable and accommodating, communicative and helpful, and they have a beautiful house in a wonderful setting right next to the park where Birdie loves to walk. And from there you can do a great loop along the beach, which Birdie absolutely loves. We said goodbye to Birdie just yesterday and are missing her!
