My house sit with Celia and Shaye was out of this world, literally!! My trip was for 2.5 months, broken in 2 host trips. My guests and I had the privilege of Celia and Shaye's company between trips. We shared meals and become great friends. Celia and Shaye kindly invited us over to watch the pre and post NASA rocket launch commentary on tv. Our hosts provided engineer hosts provided their expert input. We viewed the actual launch from their property and heard the sonic boom with the rocket reentry. This was a one of a kind experience for a house sitter!!

I very much enjoyed Klondike and Clementine and would occasionally see Cals! The cats kept me company in the main house in the evenings when watching tv and around on the property during the day. The chickens were very fun to hang with and surprising easy to care for. MandarInn was my home away from home, was perfectly set up with a screened in front porch for relaxing, a nice functional kitchen for cooking as well as a BBQ grill available and with desk and separate office area for remote work. My guests enjoyed the comfortable guest house, eating fresh fruit from the property, visiting the chickens, seeing the tortoises and well as visiting places in the area.

We visited the Johnson Space Center which is only a 10 minute drive, many beaches ~ 20 minutes drive as well as the National Seashore which was ~ 45 minute drive but well worth it! During our visit to the Space Center, imagine our luck when saw a actual rocket on a flat bed truck on its return from the launch pad. This was the same rocket we had seen launch from Shaye and Celia's home ~ 2 days prior! Ron Jon's surf shop was a very fun shopping outing one afternoon.

Celia and Shaye were generous and kind to share their little piece of heaven with me, my family and friends. I hope to be back next year!
