Everything at this sit was way above a 5/5. The house was beautiful, spacious absolutely spotless and was located in a gorgeous setting. I loved sitting out on the deck in the morning with a cup of tea - or wine at night. Tanya was extremely welcoming and hospitable and communicated well both before and during my stay there. And most of all little Eddie was a pleasure to watch, a great natured dog with a fun personality. I hope to be able to look after him again. Cat :)
Sitting for Nora and Aron was truly wonderful. As soon as you meet them you feel at ease and part of the family. Nora is so well organized and generous. Her housesitting guide is surely the most impressive and most well designed I have ever seen. It is way more complete than the website's default template and very interesting to read. The home itself was superb, but I won't say anything here about it as the family has moved to a new home (in KL) since my assignment with them. The real stars of the sit where the lady cats Ygritte and Elly. How adorable, lovable and unique both of them where! Two little persons, with rich personalities but both very different and interacting with me separately. I hope I get to sit again for them in their new home!
I enjoyed my time house sitting Paul’s home and looking after Chloe his beautiful rag doll cat. Chloe and I got into a nice routine and I’m sure she enjoyed the company . Paul and I had a good open line of communication from our first connection via this site then via video chat. I was asked to start a day earlier than planned which I was happy to do. Paul’s partner Tracy showed me around the home and introduced me to Chloe. The house was very clean and tidy and I had a beautiful bedroom to sleep in, I had best sleep I’ve had for a while. I would be happy to house sit and see Chloe again , Maree
Deia was a pleasure to look after despite her being shy - she warmed to us quickly and enjoyed many strokes with us on the countertop where she eats. The house was spacious, homely and kept cool in the summer, John and Angela were kind enough to let us use there pool. We have been housesitting for a 18 months now, and sadly, this was our first negative experience. We found the cleaner, Lynn, had been watching us and reporting back to John and Angela whilst they were away (we unfortunately have the screenshots of messages from Lynn to Angela). There’s no other way to say this other than we were accused of things we simply did not do and had to defend ourselves to John and Angela after the sit via calls and messages. We’re both still really upset about it and after enjoying around a dozen housesits, we felt anxious about continuing. We have brought the experience up with our recent house sitting placements to give an example what we want to avoid. We’ve reported both sides of the story and the evidence we have to the Trusted Housesitters admin team. However, we formed a wonderful connection with Deia, enjoyed the house, talked at length to the house cleaner, made teas and coffees for the lovely gardener and even drove him 30 minutes to the local town when he needed a lift. The sourounding area was beautiful with great walks and pubs. We wish all three of you the very best for the future, but unfortunately we would not recommend this housesit.
I adore Lynda, Helios and Gringo!!!! Lynda is such an amazing host. She picked me up from the airport and cooked dinner for me on arrival, plus showed me around her area of Geneva. The communication before, during and after was great. She was beyond wonderful. Her home is very nice and comfortable and just a short walk to the main part of Carouge and a lovely walk (30min) to old town Geneva (or about 20 min tram). Helios and Gringo are super sweet. They cuddle and sleep most of the time but can also be playful for bursts. Mostly, I would find them sleeping in their favorite spots during the day and hanging out in the kitchen seeing if they could get a bit more food in the morning and evening. They are super easy and nice company. When you read or watch tv on the couch they will sit on either side of you and purr as you pet them. Lovely boys. The area is very picturesque. Carouge is a beautiful area that feels like a little village with great shops, bakeries, restaurants, and a market. I loved walking around that area and then to the old city. Anyone will love this housesit and enjoy the company of Helios and Gringo plus the amazing hosting of Lynda. She is one of the nicest hosts I have had. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
We had a wonderful time with Tinker, Burma and Mabel . Communication with Arabella and Sam was excellent. We enjoyed our walks and were very comfortable in their lovely home. Great to see West Sussex too
