Joshua and Poornima were wonderful hosts! They were extremely communicative and responsive whenever needed. I took care of Mia, the sweetest one year old cat, for three weeks and there were no issues. Mia is super loving and always wants to play or sit next to you. She is well trained and follows you whenever you call her name. It feels surreal not having her around anymore as she is surely missed! Their place is also clean and conveniently located near downtown SF. The upscale neighborhood has cute coffee shops and is close to the ballpark. I’m grateful to have met Joshua and Poornima briefly before they headed to their travels. They both work at super awesome tech companies and are a lovely couple. They also let me use their Indian filter during my stay to make coffee. I would highly recommend this sit if there are any openings!
The stay was wonderful, Bubbles is a wonderful, affectionate and super intelligent cat. I was working during the days there and she was with me the entire time as a good companion. Ksenia and Jhon were wonderful hosts, I hope to meet Bubbles and Bella again.
It was an a week of amazing experience for me. The dogs Bear and Sadie were lovely, friendly and easy, even though I thought they would be hard to take care of since they were pit-bulls. I had fun with them especially during my relax time on the couch. They would snuggle and sit next to me and watch tv with me. The cat Snowy is super cute, fluffy and cozy. He would also sit close to me on the couch. Nikki warmed up to me after two days and she would come sit on my lap and ask for attention. Layla is such a sweet heart. Some days she might be stubborn taking her pill but with love and attention given, she would not hesitate. All 5 of them were really easy going, loving and nice animals. Teri is an amazing person. She is very friendly. She made sure that I was happy and comfortable at her home. She offered me her car which helped me a lot. She also arranged a pick up from and drop off to the train station for me. The cleaning lady came to clean the house one day so that was nice. Teri also offered me to use her beach club membership at the Hilton. I was able to utilize it only one time due to the weather. But I liked it a lot. Teri’s son and his girlfriend are very nice kids. They explained everything in great details to me on my first day. They even bought me a dinner. Teri’s house is very nice and comfortable and located at a great neighborhood. I highly recommend this nice and big family.
Kathy and Stephen’s home is beautiful and Sky is the most adorable Budgie and easy to care for. We thoroughly enjoyed looking after Sky and caring for their home including many plants and beautiful garden. Kathy went out of her way to make us feel welcome and at home. It was really good to arrive the day before to meet Sky and the family. There is a bus stop at the end of the street and it’s 5 mins walk to the train station and easy 15-20 minutes into London Victoria station. It was a pleasure to meet Kathy, Stephen, Liam and Zoe and to look after such a lovely home and Sky and we would highly recommend this sit to any potential sitters without hesitation.
Short sit but a very good one. David and Jan say Gracie is a shy kitty and Archie is an outgoing one. Well... THEY LIE! ;) Gracie is one of the most affectionate cats I have ever met. She bonded with me instantly, we had many cuddling/nuzzling/licking sessions throughout the day (I mean she was doing all the licking) and she slept with me every night. She's an inveterate breadmaker too so get used to her paws digging into you. Archie on the other hand kept to himself... not much to say about him as Gracie monopolized my time. They spend much of the day outside and use the great outdoors as their litter box. This is good because they combined to use the inside litter box only once during my five-day sit. But also it meant I was inclined to let them out whenever they wanted, and it was a bit difficult to get them in at night. Shaking a treat bag worked for Gracie. For Archie you basically have to wait until he's ready to come in. David and Jan are generous hosts and gave me run of the kitchen. This was handy as it rained for two days solid and the nearest chain grocery stores and Walmarts are some 20 miles away and I wasn't inclined to go out. The house is not huge but that means it's easy to keep clean and I don't need a lot of space anyway, and the bed was comfortable. You can walk around the neighborhood and use the recreational facilities at Holly Lake Ranch but there's no big city or major attraction nearby... I mostly relaxed with Gracie. I was traveling around right before the sit so it was nice just to have a place to relax. Thanks so much, would love to be back!
Conny and her three pups were awesome hosts! The home is super cool, spacious, and clean. The backyard is an oasis with yummy fruit trees! I had a blast hanging out with the pups who were all very happy, well mannered, and champion snugglers. It’s close to everything you need, and in a great neighborhood with kind neighbors. Would definitely recommend.
