We loved every second of our time with sweet "Polo-Lito!" He's such a loving, affection, and playful little dog and so full of character. He adores his morning walks, playtime with his squeaky toys, brusch and massage time, and let's not forget his "Cookies!" Judith and Larry went out of there way to make us feel comfortable in their beautiful home - Judith even baked us a loaf of sourdough bread as a welcome gift! We loved sitting out on the deck with Polo, looking out over the colorful garden and the backyard forest area, and watching the birds (while Polo watched the lizards!). If you love birds and wildlife like we do, this is the sit for you --- we saw deer and javelina, bunnies, and all kinds of birds - towhees, blue jays, nuthatches, gold finches, and even a hawk. The neighborhood is peaceful with friendly neighbors, and backs up to Prescott National Forest. We hope we get the opportunity to come play with Polo-lito again. We miss him dearly already! We are very happy to have met Adriana and to have taken care of Umi. It was an amazing few days! Umi is very well behaved, very affectionate and accompanied us on walks around Amsterdam. The flat is beautiful and comfortable. The area has bars and supermarkets nearby, it is very well connected by bus or tram to the centre of Amsterdam. Adriana gave us a loving welcome, with all the necessary directions, and we had excellent communication with her during our petsitting. We are very grateful for this opportunity! We are already missing Umi! ❤️🐶
Cosmo is an absolutely wonderful Labrador, well behaved, affectionate, fun and an absolute pleasure to take for walks. We formed a strong bond quickly and loved taking him out for long hikes through the beautiful surrounding countryside. There were many lovely walks within a short drive and a shorter walk around the local lake straight out of the gate. Cosmo is quite a strong dog on the lead so we much preferred taking him for walks where we wouldn’t be walking on roads or around too many other dogs so that he could be free off the lead. The incredible scenery of the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley are both within half an hour so we would recommend a car to make the most of the surrounding area. We will miss Cosmo so much. The house itself is a beautiful, large, family house with a fabulous garden for enjoying the sun and playing with Cosmo. Janine & Chris are excellent hosts, communicative, friendly and clear about what they needed. They welcomed us with a lovely dinner on our first evening before heading off on their holiday and made us feel really welcome and comfortable in their lovely home. We would highly recommended this sit and would love to return to look after Cosmo again sometime.
The dogs are so calm and sweet and Jennifer is a lovely host. The house is also right opposite a park, so very convenient for walks. I would recommend this sit.
