We couldn't have dreamt for such an incredible sit! Ben, Ceri, and Django were welcoming, kind, and overall simply amazing hosts.

From the beginning, Ben and Ceri were accommodating and understanding while we had to deal with flight changes, covid delays, border crossings, pcr tests, etc. It was an adventure making all the travel work in a pandemic and their flexibility was incredibly appreciated.

They took extra care to prepare us and everything was well organized. We had clear expectations for the sit and well thought out instructions for Django. They had written down anything we might need and even booked a couple days at doggie daycare so we could go exploring. They also provided us with Gaia maps for hiking trails, local spots to hit in town, and even instructions on how to use the log burning fireplace. I honestly can't say enough about how much we appreciate everything they did to make our stay enjoyable and keep Django healthy and happy.

Speaking of Django, WHAT AN AMAZING DOG!! We miss him like crazy! We were fortunately left a book of dog tricks which came in handy because he knows basically all of them. Pretty sure he might understand English. It was so much fun taking him for hikes and playing with him in the house. I think we have over a thousand pictures of his floofiness. He's so fluffy! He's definitely a good boy and gets a 15/10 rating.

We loved everything about our experience meeting Ben and Ceri, watching Django, and exploring Squamish. We hope we get another opportunity to do another sit but also would love to just meet up and say hi again in the future to our three new friends.

If you're thinking about applying for this sit, stop thinking about it and just do it, but also know that you're going to have to fight us for it!!

Joell
Joell and her husband Henry welcomed me warmly into their beautiful home a day before they were to depart for their holiday with adorable baby Jovie. The bedroom I stayed in was spacious with an attached second room and bathroom and its own thermostat, and the rooms had large windows for a relaxing view of the cornfields and surrounding countryside of famous Lancaster County. Pup Roxy is a friendly, easygoing English bulldog who most enjoyed playing fetch with her favorite toys outside with me--and which we did a bit inside too when the outdoors reached about 95F with high humidity. She loved swimming in the pool with her cute little life jacket, going after Styrofoam pool noodles I tossed to her. She didn't want to take walks--haha, that's my only complaint about Roxy because I was ready for some walking exercise with her!

Staying with Fran, Laya, and Lark was amazing!! Fran is a lovely person and was an excellent communicator from the start. She even was kind enough to pick me up on the train when I came into DC for the sit! When she returned, she offered to let me stay for a few days after the sit if I needed it (I am house sitting full-time right now, so this was kind.) Laya and Lark are the sweetest pups! They both love their walks, playtime, food, and snuggles. They were both the best work from home partners. Lark would jump up on the bed and snuggle me in the morning and Laya was my constant companion. The house is also amazing and the neighborhood is great, too. Thank you Fran, Lark, and Laya for an excellent house sit - 10/10 would return!!!

Mariana
What a week, we had suuuch a great time at Mariana & Doug's place.
The most important part ; Hector is the cutest pup around ! He is so sweet, intelligent and calm, and wants to be involved in everything you do. We absolutely loved caring for him and miss his cute face already.
The apparment is so beautiful and really clean, with an amazing patio with the view on the Chief. It's also really well located. Mariana gave us a bunch of recommandations for food, different walks with Hector, hikes and fun stuff to do and it was so helpful to spend the best week ever !
Thank you for absolutely everything and we hope to see Hector again 😊❤️

Sally
We had a lovely stay at Sally’s. Pippa is adorable, and the cats kept us very well entertained, especially Rupert as he chased things around the garden! We also had fresh eggs every day from the chickens and as we stayed in summer we sampled the veg garden too! Sally’s home is in a very peaceful and leafy area, very relaxing and quiet. And Sally and Paul were really helpful both before they left and during our stay and made sure we had all the info we needed. We’d love to stay there again.

LISA
We received a warm welcome and felt at home instantly! Lisa had printed instructions which were very useful. Bentley & Jake are a couple of real characters and were a delight to spend time with. They are definitely lap dogs that like to spend time with you, but equally like their own space. We had a very positive experience and would definitely recommend to other sitters.
