Kate was a wonderful and helpful host, even picking us up from the train station! Thank you! Oaky was one of the biggest dogs we have taken care of, but any intimidation was immediately melted away by his playful and happy demeanor. He loves his walks and playing with his ball, and loved chilling and sleeping in our presence after his walk. No trouble at all.
We spent a comfortable month staying in Nicole and Peters home taking care of their two pets, Bessie and Rosie. They've got a nicely located home equipped with everything you'd need for a lengthy stay and just minutes from downtown and a short drive away from the beautiful lakes and awesome trails that Vernon has to offer. It didn't take us long to bond with both their pets. Bessie is the sweetest whoodle around. She's a snuggler, and a super patient, playful pup. We had lots of fun watching her interact with other dogs at the dog park and we felt at ease having her off leash out and about on walks too. We also had alot of fun with Rosie. Her genuine personality showed more and more as time went on and she became super affectionate with us. She's a super smart kitty and is vocal about letting you know what she wants. Nicole and Peter were both very responsive while they were away helping us with any questions we may have had. They are both super lovely people and it was great getting to know them abit during our time there. We'd certainly return again and would recommend to other sitters. :) Missing the animals already!
Brittany and i met before the sit, going thru what was necessary, including a video on how to feed Petunia & Snickers. They were a hoot, I was able to pet them and talk to them, did great. Fun experience. Nola was truly so friendly, great walker, very chill. Everything you needed in their home for comfortable stay. Tracy
The days I spent at Chris's house looking after Popeye were pure joy. I was very well received, Chris was very kind, picking me up from the airport and taking me to the supermarket to buy everything I needed for those days. What a generous and friendly human being! Popeye was super docile and always responded well to my commands. The walks on the beach were a real plus, not only was the place a paradise but Popeye always made new friends (dogs and humans) and everything became even more exciting. Popeye is a very energetic and sociable dog. Chris's house has the most spectacular view you can imagine and he prepared a very comfortable room for me. I'm so grateful for the opportunity I had to look after Popeye and I'm really looking forward to seeing him again.
Jade was great and really made me feel welcome in her beautiful family home. Coco and Forky were extremely kind and affectionate and were great company for the weekend. The area was beautiful and great for taking long walks in the countryside and is easily accessible from London. The local farm shop was perfect to find some fresh local produce.
Communication was clear and I was able to be in contact with the owners at all times as well as having emergency contacts, just in case. The accommodations were wonderful and the area is stunningly beautiful, so many places to go and see that are close by. Sophie is a very sweet senior who definitely missed her people, but allowed me to be a stand in, after she got used to me! :) Willow, on the other hand was instantly affectionate! I definitely enjoyed myself during this sit!
