Freya and Joe recently stayed at our home and watched our 2 dogs while we were away. This was our first time utilizing a house sitter and one of our dogs is a rescue that can be described as complicated. During our zoom meeting Freya provided us with numerous examples of other "complicated" dogs she has take care of, which gave us confidence that she could do the same with ours. Freya and Joe were clear with their communication, timely on their arrival and immediately focused on understanding both of our dogs. It was obvious that they both were calm and confident in handling dogs. Frey kept us updated with photos and messages, letting us know that everyone was doing well , such a relief! They seemed to enjoy both of the dogs and their walks and hikes. Our dogs seemed to also enjoy Freya and Joe! Freya and Joe went above and beyond when one of the dogs got skunked! Freya communicated, in great detail, what she and Joe did to clean our dog while taking great thought and care to not spread the smell throughout the house, really an outstanding effort! Upon return, we found a clean home in the same condition in which it was left. Freya and Joe are true professionals and we just hope the rest of you reading this don't have travel dates similar to ours in the future, so they can stay again.
Caradi was one of the most prepared and generous house owners I have met, and her beautiful dog Lockie was an absolute delight. Her modern unit, it's position in Cook's Hill in Newcastle, and her commitment to Lockie's nutrition and well being are exemplary. A very pleasurable sit with a very chilled doggie dude. Happy to sit again. Mark Austin(House sitting veteran
Our rather short and spontaneous sit in Dundalk was lovely. Sorcha picked us up from the train station and Dave took us on a tour of the Town and to a supermarket, before they both left for their holiday. The house is very comfortable and cosy. Percy and the cats, Franki and Steve, are easy to care. Percy is a lovely and very ccoperative little fellow, very people oriented and happy for attention. Franki took a day or so to trust us, but when he did, everything was well. It was a pleasure to take care of these three pets and we miss them dearly. We would thorughly recommend this sit!
We had a lovely stay with Luca and Rosa and are going to miss them very much! They are adorable, each with their own little personality, and were so easy to care for. They weren't put off by the fact that new people had appeared in their house and instead quickly warmed up to us. By the end Rosa spent every night sandwiched in between us and giving us nose kisses before sleep, while Luca guarded the bedroom floor or door with the occasional garden trip. During the day they mainly just wanted to do their own things, sit next to us or meow at us to say hi. The house in itself was lovely and the garden was such a gem. The downstairs especially was a godsent during the heatwave. We had more than enough space for the two of us (even when both working from home in simultaneous meetings). It was amazingly situated in a safe neighborhood. Cherry and Simon were lovely host! We met them the day before and they made me dinner and then lunch which was the nicest treat and a great occasion to get to know them more. Cherry was super responsive and even shared pictures of their holidays in returns of our pet ones - which was such a nice touch. Overall we can't recommend this stay enough and can't thank Cherry and Simon (as well as the furry pair of course- can't forget the stars of the show) enough for letting us share these 2+ weeks with Luca and Rosa.
Nadia, Ivan & Irina were amazing hosts. We had the opportunity to meet them a few weeks before the sitting and they explained us everything with plenty of details about Lola and the house. The night before their flight we stayed in their house and they were really kind and attentive with us. The house is well-located near the luas stop and next to the river and some parks, amazing for a walk. It had everything we needed! Lola is a puppy full of energy! She enjoys going for a walk and sniffing. We took her twice a day (once in the morning and once in the afternoon). She lets you know when she wants to go to the garden and for a walk! She is a really sweet dog. Thanks for everything! Hope to see you again!
Amelia and Sutong were super kind and generous to us from the beginning. The house we stayed is beautiful, it has the best views of Waiheke and all the comforts that can exist. Twyla and Joey are two loving dogs, who really enjoy cuddles and walking. Joey is very calm. Twyla really likes to play with the ball (or the snake) and she loves to get into the sea. We really enjoyed doing housesitting! Many thanks for everything! Perhapes someday we meet again somewhere in the world.
Julie and Dave were super sweet and easy to communicate with. Their apartment is in a quiet and calm part of Queens, and is super comfortable. Julie and Dave went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed! Hercules is adorable and very easy to care for. He'll give you some snuggles and show off his play skills, but mostly he's interested in when you might be willing to give him treats next. He's very cute! I'd stay here again. :)
