I had a wonderful time looking after Kismet and meeting Sinead and her family. They are amazingly friendly, down to earth and generous people and have a beautiful home that is clearly full of love. Kismet is a very fine old gentleman of a cat who is very easy to care for. I stayed for almost a month and never had any issues with him at all. I highly recommend this sit and would love to come again! Thanks so much again to all of you and sorry for the very late review, I only just figured out where the button is😵💫 Xx
We really enjoyed our stay in Aalen with Julie and Eric’s four cats, Mini, Bear, June and Fynny (the dogs, Riley and Ivy, stayed with a friend). Julie and Eric were easy to communicate with and showed us everything we needed to know about caring for the cats. Each cat had their own distinct personality. Mini would greet us in the morning, go outside for fresh air and sunshine and then get some quality lap time. Bear was the calming presence for June and Fynny. He would come for a pet and a cuddle and the other two would follow. After the first two days, June would greet us, follow us around and make sure she got her head bumps in. It took longer to break the ice with Fynny but after the first week, and with Bear close by, she would come for a pet and some back scratching. All of the cats liked to play with the laser and the cat nip toys and they all loved to lay in the afternoon sunbeams. Julie and Eric’s home is very comfortable and in a great location with a huge backyard. It is a ten minute walk to downtown, the train station and the grocery store. Aalen is a beautiful town, surrounded by hills. We found a lot of good walking trails nearby. In the historic downtown area, there is a twice weekly farmers market and lots of good coffee shops and restaurants. The train station makes it convenient to venture out and explore some of the surrounding areas. The Limes museum provides an interesting history lesson and the view from the Aalbaumle provides a excellent overlook of the city and the landscape around it. Sitting for Julie and Eric was a great. We hope to meet up with them again in the future.
Perfect location, lovely apartment, easygoing human and mainly, an adorable, sweet and very cuddly Bertie. I miss him already and it’s only been a day.
Debbie is a beautiful soul walking this earth. Her home is a collective of her own warm spirt and her travels abroad. It’s easy to see Mexico stole her heart. Even though Debbie has a beautiful loving sold family life she still finds room for others. Thea is a cute, gentle, cautious soul at first meet. She does need time in your presence at first to make sure you don’t mean her any harm. She lets you know in subtle ways that she is your friend. Sometimes by letting you pet her or laying down next to you. Once Thea notices you are in full control of all treats she gets, or (hint hint) introduces her too. Well then you now have a new but cautious friend.
I really enjoyed this housesit. Mira the kitty is an in and outdoor cat making her very self sufficient. She did throw up once at night but she is older so it's understandable and it wasn't a big deal to clean up. She is a sweet cat! The bed was comfy and the pool refreshing!
We sat for Alistair and Zoe and looked after their delightful range of pets in Sussex. We didn't have Luna with us but had Tiger, Prince, Heather and Leia. Tiger was very chatty and liked to check in on us throughout the day and was very happy to get belly rubs and cuddles when she visited. Prince was very shy but by the end of our sit was happy to sit in the same room as us and hang out. Heather the tortoise was a great novelty and very easy to care for - the hardest part was the game of hide and seek she liked to play when it was feeding time. Leia was truly a delight, a hen that would follow you around on a walk through the yard and would respond to a whistle - she was amazing! We enjoyed all the pets and their quirks and all of them were very easygoing to look after. Alistair and Zoe were very warm and welcoming and a joy to sit for. They were responsive to questions and gave us a tour of everything we needed when we arrived. Their place is also incredible! We had a lovely room with a full en-suite which was very comfortable. Their barn-style house is completely out of the way and you feel like you have the whole countryside to yourself. We also managed to spend a couple of evenings by the firepit watching the sun go down and the stars come out. We highly recommend this sit and Alistair and Zoe.
