Where to begin? Cisco and Gri are two of the sweetest and most well-behaved cats you'll ever meet. They are friendly, curious, and very gentle. They love playtime, and chasing each other, as well as their numerous toys (esp. anything with feathers). They can also 'do their own thing,' and are extremely content, which I'm sure is a reflection of the great care they receive from their humans. Beth and Keith were welcoming, generous, and great communicators, both before and during the stay. Their home is retreat-like, and their neighborhood is a massive playground with loads of outdoor activities within minutes. 5-star sit in every way!
Craig and I had a truly fantastic house sit in Llangollen. Karen's lovely home is set in the most idyllic setting with beautiful gardens and wonderful views of the stunning Welsh countryside in every direction. The house is really well equipped, homely and very comfortable. It was great to meet Karen, who was warm, welcoming and friendly, she is really organised and left helpful information on the house, cat care and local areas to visit. Communication before, during and after the sit was straightforward and easy. We found the locals extremely friendly and thoroughly enjoyed our daily walks direct from the house. The stars are undoubtedly Coco and Lily, it was an absolute pleasure to look after the beautiful sisters. They are so friendly, affectionate and very entertaining. They have wonderful personalities, are great company and it was an extremely hard house-sit to leave, they are missed very much. Craig and I would be delighted to return to Wales to care for Coco and Lily and can't recommend it highly enough. Thank you Karen for an amazing stay.
Cozy home on ~3 acres in Santa Cruz County near beaches and parks The pups are friendly and easy to care for. I had a great experience.
We have spent the loveliest 5 weeks on the beautiful Lanrick Estate near Stirling. It is steeped in history which we found very interesting. There are lots of forest walks, salmon fishing in the river (during the season) and wildlife to spot. You can also do some wild swimming if brave enough! Penny and Ali and all the family and staff were very kind and hospitable and made us very welcome and it was nice knowing someone was nearby in case of emergencies. The house is comfortable and quirky and we loved the feel of the place. Minnow and Pebble were the most gorgeous spaniels, soft loving temperaments ,well behaved except when catching birds are concerned and we just adored them. The grandchildrens ponies were also very sweet and no bother to look after and the chickens were very accomodating suppling us with fresh eggs every day. We enjoyed watching the red squirrel and lots of different birds from the living room window. We would love to return to see the estate in all the different seasons. Many thanks to everyone
I can't recommend this house sit enough. Communication with Debbie was perfect before the sit itself, on arrival there was a folder of information, including everything I could need to know about the house, how to care for Ellie and Spot and recommendations on where to walk and places to visit in the local area. The house itself is beautiful, in the middle of the countryside with a fantastic terrace area which is lovely to sit with a coffee and read. There are so many lovely walks, both from the house and a short drive away. As for Ellie and Spot - they have stolen my heart! I immediately fell in love with them both. They both have such distinct personalities, although one point that they are identical on is that they can never get enough attention, they would both happily sit all day being stroked. Spot especially thinks he's a lap dog so will try to sit on you at every opportunity. Their recall when off the lead is perfect, so you have no worries about letting them off for a run (although they generally just stay near you anyway). Thanks very much Debbie for such a lovely 10 days!
Wile E and Pitman warmed up to me pretty immediately. Pandy took a few days and even ran away from me outside out of rebellion. Thankfully someone down the street got a hold of her and brought her back 20 minutes later. Once Pandy and I were friends, she followed me around everywhere. Her & Wile E were thick as thieves quick to investigate any movement outside especially when the mailman or cleaners would stop by. Pitman was just chill. He would lay outside for hours basking in the sun. Living his best live! The neighbors were friendly and helped me out when I ended up getting my car snuck in the mud. The 3 weeks truly went by in a flash!
