Above and beyond!! 10 stars for Tanya!!! Personable, reliable, responsible and very well organized! We loved having you and your bubbly personality! Poppet and Cassie are a bit sad that we’re here instead of you 😂 Thanks again for the little treats you left for us and for being a fantastic pet sitter!!
I absolutely loved sitting with Claude. He is a such a sweet, calm boy and his soft meows are just too cute. He was a bit shy at first but soon started following me around. Shaha's apartment was cozy and comfy and in a great location. Would love to sit for Shaha and Claude again if our schedules align.
We had a wonderful stay with Nessa. She is such a sweet soul and we enjoyed exploring the beautiful neighbourhood with her. Nessa was easy to care for and quite talkative too! The basement suite was bright, clean and comfortable with a lovely view to the backyard. Chris and Philippa were kind and generous hosts who showed us around and answered all our questions. A great location and housesit - we would love to return!
Had a lovely stay with Annie and Lily. They were the sweetest, most cuddly, fun-loving dog and cat friends. They like to sleep in or near the bed which is great for those of us that like night-time furry companions. Robert’s house is in a central location with great walkability to all the gems of Morro Bay. Such a lovely area and he was a warm and welcome host and very responsive to questions and communication while away. The neighbors were friendly and helpful. Annie is a Social butterfly and will introduce you to many of her human friends :). Had a great time and know you will too!
Peta and Russ are considerate and thoughtful hosts, who were relaxed, yet always available and engaged – we enjoyed very good communication. Getting to know them has been one of the many pleasures of this sit. The house is tastefully decorated, very comfortable and clean. The guide to care for Tex is thorough and clearly detailed. In short, Peta and Russ went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and at home. Saying that, Texas is the star of the show! He is loving, loyal and full of heart. His passion for his red frisbee is in a league of its own. Tex is independent and yet he loves company. He will stay close by your side while you get on with things. Although, he will, very sweet-naturedly and unobtrusively, invite you to give him attention every once in a while. In the evenings Tex likes to come up and be seated with you on the sofa. Our time with Tex over Easter was nothing short of miraculous! While the plan had been to do a bit of catch-up on work, we instead ended up chilling out with Tex. Through a combination of charm and gentle coaxing he had us throwing his beloved frisbee in-between tug-o-war in the backyard enthusiastically. So much fun, way more relaxing, and a lot of love in return. It seems, the gentle soul he is, Tex knows when those he embraces with gusto should indulge in rest and play! Given Tex’s enthusiasm for play, it is just as well we asked Peta and Russ, who recommended playing in cooler conditions. Easy enough to do, if one diligently ignores his quiet hints to play frisbee in the afternoon sun and gives him cuddles instead. Daily walks at dusk suit Tex well and he enjoys his strolls around the neighbourhood. His compromised vision means that at times a bit of vocal guidance is needed to help Tex avoid bumping into things when he eagerly scours the garden for his frisbee or when stepping over curbs during walks. However, Tex’s joyful and energetic approach to life is not slowed down one bit by any of it. Thank you, Tex, for your love and the quiet nudges to play frisbee. Together with you we had a very special easter break!
We had a great time taking care of Sam and Stella in Sawyer, MI. The sit gave us a chance to explore and unplug for a while. Nancy and Charles were very hospitable, cooking us a delicious dinner and offering a ride from the train station. They made us feel truly welcome as we arrived. Sam and Stella are an energetic and entertaining duo. We loved throwing tennis balls for them in the yard which always brought out their playful side and eventually tired them out too. Indoors, they're well-behaved, content to lie around and chew on their bones. They were a joy to care for and be around. This was our first time housesitting in such a rural area, but Nancy made it easy to navigate the new experiences. Her house guide and her responsiveness on WhatsApp helped us manage things like tick season, using rainwater for the plants, and even catching birds that found their way inside. Having grown up in a city, these tasks were new to us, but now we feel like experts! If you're considering working remotely, we often found the internet speeds a little too slow. However, there's a fantastic alternative just two minutes away: Infusco, one of the friendliest and most welcoming coffee shops we've ever visited. Comfortable seating, free coffee refills (who does that anymore?), and a friendly, small-town community make it a great place to be productive while making new friends. Although the internet technically works at the house, we'd recommend planning to tackle important work at Infusco. Michigan summers are unbeatable. If you're fortunate enough to housesit for Nancy and Charles, enjoy the countryside and the beach, Charles's epic CD collection, and give the dogs our best!
I had a very good house sit with Tiago, he is a very friendly and relaxed dog. Katie was helpful, and easy to contact. The house is very nice, and the pool is a bonus. I wouldn't hesitate to sit for Katie again :)
