Housesitting for Jeanne and Shannon was wonderful! They are incredibly warm and welcoming people.

Their house is incredible. It’s a tranquil retreat in the city. Modern, well appointed, and airy. Everything is clean and purposeful.

Gracie, their cat, is calm and loving. Although she is quiet and well behaved, it’s her quirkiness that makes her so special. She needs AM/PM meds but with Jeanne’s written instructions it’s quite simple.

Everything about our experience was extremely positive. We highly recommend this housesit. Thank you for hosting us! 5+ stars!

Bowie is such an awesome little guy!!! He is gentle, sweet and loves playing fetch. He warmed up instantly and was extremely well behaved. The apartment was comfortable and had really nice communal amenities (pool, hot tub, tv, bbq, small playground). There is a nice trail adjacent to the complex. Grocery, coffee, bagel shop, etc around the corner. 10 minute drive to the cute downtown. Would definitely love to take care of sweet Bowie again!!

Joanna
We had a fabulous time in Shepton Mallet. Joanna and Hamish made us feel very welcome in their lovely home and the neighbours were so friendly and kind. We had a lot of fun looking after Tummel, Indigo and Haggis. They were beautiful, friendly pets and a joy to be with. We would love to have the opportunity to pet sit for Joanna again. Also, we would highly recommend this house sit to others.

Marije & Luc
We had a great time in Oberbipp at Marije’s and Lucs place!
They both were very generous and friendly. Harry and Haakon, they are a nice cat-copple! We did like them. They were friendly and easygoing! We also loved Oberbipp;
It is a nice small village (with a railway station) from were we easily made a lot of beautiful trips. Thanks a lot Marije and Luc!

Really enjoyed looking after Nellie and Barney for a week in Farnham. Communication with host Michelle was excellent and she was always prompt to respond to any questions. The house is very spacious with a large garden and the nearby forest is delightful in all weathers. Both dogs are well trained and easy to walk.

Overall the actual sit was ok, it was my conversations with Ivy post sit that left a bad taste in my mouth. My biggest challenge was figuring out how to properly take care of the pets and home with the limited information I was given. There was minimal pet care instructions included in the welcome guide for Chickpea and no care instructions were left for the fish. The plant care was texted to me a few days after I started the sit. I do basic cleaning for every home before I leave. However I was not told about the family's cat allergy even though I asked about allergies during the interview. This is important so I know to be careful about tracking in allergens or to be extra thorough with my cleaning. Ivy sent me a series of texts after I left accusing me of having cats in her home and lying about it. Even though I did not see any cat hair when I left (only their dog's hair), I offered twice to come back with my upholstery/carpet shampooer and explained that the cat hair must have been tracked in from my clothes/things. Ivy didn't take me up on the offer. Aside from communication the biggest annoyance was dealing with the limitations on their wifi. If you're a remote worker this sit is not for you. Their firewall blocks a lot of sites. If you're a sitter who is only around dogs and you want a sit that leaves you a lot of free time to explore then you'd be a good fit. Chickpea has an automatic feeder and a doggy door. The house is only a block from the water where it's nice to walk through the park. Just make sure to ask lots of questions during your interview and take through notes so you have them for reference later.
