Gill and Glynn are so friendly, helpful and accomodating. Their home is beautiful and private and we had such a relaxing time. The pets are very well trained and surprisingly little work to care for. The village and local area is beautiful. We highly recommend it if you get a chance to enjoy their little part of the world. Thank you so much for having us!
We stayed at The Old Schoolhouse for a month in January with Wren, a smaller than average, very gentle Rhodesian Ridgeback. She is very beautiful and we were stopped by so many people to admire her. Looking after her was very easy but she is cautious of men and we found it best to just be calm around her although she loved every other dog she met and if they were game her puppy side would want to play. Mel and Gus are the nicest people you could hope to meet and the house was like home from day one. Our bedroom was lovely with the most comfortable bed and the bathroom and shower was huge and deluxe. Walks from the house, several restaurants and enough shops without getting in the car so 5* in every respect.
I had the best time pet sitting for Nicolle in Bend! I fell in love with Millie who was such a sweetheart! She was so well behaved and a dream on the leash! Vinnie mostly slept while he was inside during the day as he roams at night. The home is beautiful & in a great area for dog walking and very safe. This is a wonderful sit for anyone! Thanks Nicolle!
Looking after Santi for Annika was wonderful! Annika is so organised and communicated really well before and during our stay. Santi is a beautiful dog - the perfect balance between active and chilled out. He was a wonderful companion whilst I worked from home, and his local walks are beautiful places to go for a leg stretch. The location of this sit is incredible, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We can’t wait to sit for Annika again!
I'll start by saying I think this might be my favorite sitting I've done so far. Right from the beginning, it was very clear Liat wanted to make sure this was a good experience for both them and myself - and it was! I met her and her partner the day before the sit. They took me to a really nice cafe, showed me around the area and their house, and after we went for lunch. They made me feel welcome from the start, and we had lots of interesting conversations :) They gave me many recommendations for places to visit (especially cafes, since they knew how much I love coffee!), and they made sure I had everything I could possibly need at their place. Communication was easy and Liat was always quick to reply to my texts. The house is beautiful, really comfortable (and the sauna was great!!). The location couldn't have been better: there's a tram right on their doorstep, but you might not even need it since it's so close to everything. Now, about the star of the show: Moon is such a sweet cat! He was really easy to care for, and kept me company while I worked. He's very funny and loves following you around to supervise what you're doing. I miss him already! I honestly can't think of a single bad thing to say - everything was great. I absolutely recommend this sit. And I would love to look after Moon again another time!
We could'nt recommend this house sit highly enough!!!. Sarah and her family was extremely welcoming and very organised. The house is lovely and very comfortable. The area also comes highly recommended. As for "Oscar and "Rosie",they were a pleasure to look after. They are two very friendly and affectionate dogs. To conclude-lovely dogs, lovely family, and an area that is ideally located for exploring Bath and the surrounding countryside.
