Chetan
A wonderful sit! Chetan and Vasundhara are welcoming and laidback. Their 50's Cape Cod home is very comfortable and delightfully quirky. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. A bonus is that Lakewood is a nice city that is easy to get around and filled with a lot of friendly people.

Dost the Dog is a sweetheart. One of the nicest dogs I've met. I did a little research and discovered that “Dost” means “close and trusted friend” in Hindi—and that was certainly the case with him. Dost is very happy, laid back, affectionate and will be by your side from the moment you enter the house. I completed the sit with my 13-pound dog, Annie, and although Dost is much larger than Annie, they were instant pals. Not a cross word between them. They often slept in the same dog bed together during the day.

Dost loves to walk and is great on a leash. But every Superman has his Kryptonite and for Dost (and many dogs) that is rabbits. Vasundhara was kind to alert me to this so there were no issues. I just kept Dost on the leash when leaving the house and from the car to the house.

We walked at least 6 miles a day split between morning and late afternoon/evening with an occasional midday walk thrown in. We often went to Belmar Park, which is a nice 3-mile loop, and Crown Hill Outer Loop, a 2.5 miles loop around a lake. Both trails are a quick 3 miles/7 minutes away. We also took several shorter neighborhood walks.

Dost also likes to go out into the fenced backyard during the day to lie in the sun. He loves playing with his toys and if he’s not already the Colorado Canine Tug-O-War Champion he should be.

Definitely a five-star sit. Annie and I would absolutely sit with Dost again. Thanks, Chetan and Vasundhara, for inviting Annie and I into your home. Give the big boy a big hug for us!

Denise and Dave
Denise and Dave were super friendly, accommodating and communicative from the very start. They made us feel very welcome and even let us have a couple of packages shipped there.

Their home is in a fantastic location, with easy access to RMNP, downtown and trails right from the neighborhood. It was very comfortable, had everything we needed and the hot tub was perfect when the temps dropped 30 degrees overnight!

We had a lot of adventures with Darby - daily trips to the trails, walk to the farmers market and epic play sessions. She is a puppy, so you need to be prepared for that puppy energy, but she can also nap like a champ. She loves to play fetch, keep away and tug-of-war, go in the river and lick just about anything in sight. She is incredibly sweet and will definitely make you laugh…a lot.

Rachel
We absolutely loved our stay on Grange Farm with the pups Amber, Cracker and Minty, and all the chickens. We enjoyed going on lovely walks through the countryside with the dogs and seeing them having a great time running around. We also loved being able to collect in eggs and fresh fruit and vegetables from the garden and making delicious treats.

The farm is in a fab location for walking, running and cycling and is also great for getting to Harrogate, local historical sites such as Fountains Abbey, and other interest points such as Brimham Rocks.

Rachel and Jonathon were lovely. They welcomed us in to their home and invited us to arrive a night early so we could go for a couple of walks and share a meal together.

We would thoroughly recommend this sit to others looking for a country sit with active dogs. We would certainly love to sit for Rachel and Jonathon again soon!
