Michael was a truly special house sitter. We have two large dogs, one of which is a 100 pound 1, year old puppy, that are like our kids and a home that, I won’t lie, we are very possessive over. Having someone extremely responsible and mature was of the upmost importance to us while we were away for 5 weeks, and over a 30 hour plane ride away. We were lucky enough to meet Michael before hiring him, because he happened to be in town, and enjoyed chatting; sharing an interest in both travel and fine scotch and bourbon. Michael not only took amazing care of our dogs but, even with a large booklet of dog and house care instructions, took the time to ask additional questions, which made us feel like he was taking their care very seriously. He communicated often and took amazing pictures and gave us updates twice weekly, as we requested. Michael didn’t even use so much as a roll of toilet paper during his 5-week stay, which was extremely unexpected but really shows the level of respect he had for our space and belongings. He made sure the house was spotless when we returned home and had our sheets, and all the dog bedding, freshly wash and waiting for us upon our return, which was very appreciated after an almost 50 hour journey to get back home from Southeast Asia. If you are lucky enough to have Michael apply for your sit, don’t hesitate to accept his application immediately.
