Jay and Phoebe were amazing and took great care of my 2-year-old Labrador retriever while I was away for a week during the Christmas holiday. Before arriving they were very conscientious and reviewed my welcome guide in detail, kept in great communication, and confirmed their arrival into town, making sure I had nothing to worry about. They were so reliable and organized - it was very appreciated! They also were extremely respectful of my space and took great care of my home. My dog clearly loved them the second they arrived and they dutifully got her plenty of exercise and social time each day. I felt immediately at ease the second I met them over FaceTime, and that never changed during their 7 day stay. They left the house clean and organized when they left and even gave me a thoughtful candle that matches my house aesthetic as a parting gift. I would happily welcome them back for another sit if the stars align in the future. Thanks for taking such great care of my pup! Happy New Year!
Allen house and dog sat for us for just over a month while we were away visiting family. He is very organized and had excellent communication both prior to and during our trip. He was thoughtful and asked what kind of communication we liked while away, and then stuck to that, sending us photos and regular updates. Our dogs were absolutely spoiled with attention and twice a day walks so they truly got to have a vacation while we did too. Our house was incredibly clean when we got home and to top it all off Allen had some great recommendations for us for things to see and places to eat (we’re still newer to the area so greatly benefit from his exploration!). We hope Allen and Leslie will be able to sit for us again in the future and would absolutely recommend them to others.
We fell in love with Missy as soon as we arrived as she was such a beautiful cat with a lovely temperament. She loved strokes and cuddles and absolutely loved being brushed. She was very vocal which we loved as felt like we were having full conversations with her! She also liked to sleep (especially as we had very hot weather) which meant it was easy to leave her for a few hours to explore London and return to a happy Missy waking up from her nap ready for attention. We met Lucia on a video call before the sit and then managed to meet her in passing on our way home and she was so lovely and friendly and even left us a bottle of wine and some goodies. The sit was in a great central location (Zone 1!) for public transport so this made it easy to travel. It was also right opposite The Black Dog pub which was a dream for a Swiftie, and across from a park which was a nice bit of greenery in central London. It should be noted that the sit is opposite a playground and also next to a throughroad for delivery vans and bin men so not for light sleepers but manageable and so worth it for the great city location. Would love to meet and sit for Lucia again as she was lovely and we are already missing Missy so much!
We had a wonderful weekend in the Cumbrian Fells in Anne and Richard's cosy home looking after Benji, a 2-year-old black lab retriever. Initially shy, he soon relaxed and we had fun running around an enclosed field nearby. He never strained on the lead and is well-behaved with a quiet personality. It gave us the chance to do some great walks with him in frosty and snowy weather under gloriously sunny skies. Anne and Richard were warm and welcoming, their house very comfortable, and we appreciated the log burner in -5C temperatures! We'd love to come again. Highly recommended.
We loved our time with Samson and Henry - we miss them already! Would go back and sit for Annabelle again in a heartbeat.
Sam and Mali (pet parents) are amazing. Not sure if words does best to describe how wonderful they (pets included) were throughout the sit. They were very clear with instructions throughout the sit. Buddy and Nala (the dogs), when adjusted to your presence, are playful and chill as they enjoy their belly rubs. Hazel and Peanut (the cats) enjoy their napping during the day and eating at night (they take after the dogs and also prefer belly rubs too). If you haven’t cared for bigger dogs before, remember to ask questions. As mentioned before, Sam and Mali will respond with clarity! Overall, a nice, quiet neighborhood just outside Brisbane. Shops and public transport are in walking and biking distance as well. Thank you to Sam, Mali, Buddy, Nala, Hazel, and Peanut!
I really enjoyed looking after Ruby; she's really sweet dog. As I live locally to Paul and Ruby I went to meet them prior to the sit and found the house to be in a good location; close to a really nice part of Torquay and not far from the sea and some local shops. Because I live nearby, it was agreed with Paul, that iI would take Ruby to mine and if she was able to settle in our house we'd stay there and I would check in on the house periodically. She was an absolute delight. She knows her own mind and needs the space to get to know you, but before long she found her seat in the house and was very amenable to some cuddles. I saw first hand that she doesn't like wet weather and had to tempt her out for toileting with treats! Paul is very easy to communicate with and his instructions were clear and comprehensive. His house is lovely and well-kept, with a garden to sit out in. I'd happily look after Ruby in the future and would recommend this as a sit if you'd like to visit the English Riviera.
