We had a fantastic time sitting for Tom & Felicity and their fur-baby Angus! Right from the get-go, Tom & Felicity's communication was excellent. Before the sit, we met them online for a good chat and received a detailed Welcome Pack so we knew what to expect. When we arrived, they provided a printed version of details about the house, the area, and how to look after Angus. The only thing we could have used was a couple more instructions about looking after the amazing garden, but fingers crossed we did okay with all the watering! Tom & Felicity made us feel extremely welcome from the moment we met online. We arrived and had a tour of their home with a cup of tea and shared travel stories over a lovely cooked dinner. They had thought of all the details, including providing a spare change of sheets and towels for our longer stay. The house itself is wonderful, and immaculately clean and tidy. We enjoyed access to a well-stocked kitchen, dining, and living space, as well as an office to work on our laptops. We had our own comfortable guest bedroom and ensuite, and they provided everything we needed, including hanging space and drawers for our clothes. We also enjoyed their beautiful garden and the relaxing outdoor seating area. The house is located in a quiet cul-de-sac, which meant we had great sleep-ins with no noise. There was so much to do in the surrounding area - Rutland Water for walking and biking, castles, cute market villages, etc. Angus was super easy to look after and kept to his rigid routine! After breakfast, he would be out all day and then greet us in the evening with big meows on the driveway as we drove in. After a few pats and maybe a bit of a play on the upstairs landing, he would hop through the front door and be off exploring again. By the last few days of our sit, I think he had gotten used to us and so was around the house a bit more. Thank you, Tom & Felicity, for choosing us. We would very happily sit for you again and recommend this house sit to any other house sitters.
