We spent a lovely weekend looking after Coco and Mei Mei for Fiona in Sheffield. The two girls were very affectionate and full of character and enjoyed walking in all the local woods. Fiona's home was really well located for the Peak District, Millhouses and Eccleston Woods. We would definitely recommend this sit for those lucky enough to get the opportunity.
Leslie, the homeowner, is a good communicator. She responded quickly to all my questions about the pets. Frankie, Luna and Felix were all easy to care for. The dogs are good walkers and Felix, the cat is playful. They all rest during the day and just need some daily exercise and attention. The house is located in a quiet community with a pool and tennis courts. There are parks and beaches nearby, as well as shopping. I felt safe here. I would housesit for Leslie again and recommend this sit for anyone who wants to visit south Florida or just wants a cool, quiet place to hang out.
Looking after Wooster has been a joy and I would thoroughly recommend this sit. Liaising with Emma prior to caring for Wooster was straightforward, she was extremely helpful and the instructions provided were clear. We have additional dates booked and we can't wait to look after Wooster again
Webb is so welcoming and her home is very comfortable and warm. Great, safe neighborhood. Very quiet and it really allowed me the peace and quiet I needed to focus on my work. The pets are very loving, friendly and each one has their own unique personality. Annabelle is 17 years old, so she needs some assistance, but she is a very patient and loving dachshund. You can tell that she is adored by this family and she loves them right back! Rusty is a very loyal boy. He is playful and likes to stretch out on the kitchen table, waving his tail while you work. Rufus is the boss. He has a funny personality and, although he is the dominate guy, he will check on the other two occasionally, especially Annabelle, which is very sweet. He makes sure everything is on track and he is your 'go-to' guy if you ever need help. Haha! Great sit....and I will miss those little loves!
I had a great stay at Susan's beautiful home in New Orleans. She was very kind and communicative and left good thorough instructions for how to take care of the animals and her home. Roux is a very chill, loving dog, and Sassano rarely comes inside other than to eat but he's very affectionate when he is around. I would highly recommend this sit!
My time with Hurley, Ellie, Russell, Sylvie, the Barn Cats, and all the birds and wildlife of this area was really special. Everyone has such a personality, but all are so loving and even helpful in their own ways. My days were mostly spent on adventures with Ellie, cuddling the cats, and giving Hurley some TLC. As a heads up, this crew is definitely morning people so set your bedtime accordingly! The land (and home) is a beautifully cared for ecosystem that I feel so privileged to have visited. Thank you Wendy and Amanda for your Ursula K. LeGuin library, good communication, trust, and hospitality. I would be thrilled to house sit here again :)
