Tanya
Tanya and Phil have a lovely home in the sweet village of Houghton on the Hill. Their three delightful hounds were well-behaved, great fun and easy to look after. We fell in love with them. Tanya was great to liaise with in advance of the sit and very welcoming. She generously picked us up at the beginning of our stay and provided lots of information about the area. Tanya also kept in contact while away so we could easily ask any questions and keep her posted on how the dogs were doing. Houghton on the Hill is friendly and quiet, with a well-stocked shop, cosy pub and enjoyable walks in the surrounding countryside. Overall, my partner and I had a fantastic time in a relaxing location, and would highly recommend sitting for Tanya and Phil.

Richard
We absolutely loved our time with Harley in Edinburgh! Richard and Mairi welcomed us the first night with a nice meal and some wine and made us feel super welcomed. The property is magnificent, we felt at home the whole time and Richard was on the other end of the phone for anything we needed during our stay.

Harley was a bundle of joy to look after. He is a typical spaniel and loves the cuddles and chasing after his ball. He’s so easy to take on walks and very well trained, great with other dogs! We hope to come back again as we’re already missing the puppy eyes!

Thanks for a great sit!

Laura
Laura and her family were great. Amazing home to be in. The dog Bo was the nicest dog we’ve ever met, we are now going to get a white lab and name him Bo Jr. Really awesome home in a great community, the lake trail in town is an awesome walk.

Debbie
Debbie was the nicest and most generous host! Her house was super comfortable and well equipped, and I had an excellent stay here. Teddy was just the cutest little thing who loves fetching balls and he got along so so well with my pup, Snuffles. They both had a really wonderful time together(especially at the parks) and would take naps right beside each other, and share their food and toys. It was so nice watching them everyday! Hope to see Teddy and Debbie again someday! ❤️

Matthew
Matthew was very kindly from the first moment, he explained Wilma's routine to me very clearly. I really felt super comfortable in the chalet and very well accompanied by Wilma. She is a young dog who loves to play and run, she has a lot of energy and she is well trained by Matthew. They were a very nice few days!

Thank you for the trust and of course I would take care of her again♥️

Nick
Nick kindly collected us from the train station. On arrival we were surprised to learn that several contractors would be coming to the house during our sit, that we were not made aware of prior to our arrival. Their home was lovely and spacious but some areas couldn't be used during our sit.

We arrived during freezing weather (minus 8 on our first morning) and unfortunately there was a problem with the boiler affecting the heating and hot water. Thankfully the plumber got it fixed after a couple of visits.

The daschies Horace and Hamish were very cute. Hamish being an elderly gent was very happy to sleep away the day. We had lots of outside and inside play time with Horace and his beloved ball that he wanted to be thrown all the time. They were very resistant to walks in the freezing cold weather so we made sure we gave them lots of time in the garden, taking them out every couple of hours. Not sure if the dogs were put off by strangers looking after them, as we needed to clean up some poo in the utility room on a few mornings. Emma had good feeding instructions for her pups including that we needed to stand guard during meal times as Horace always tried to eat both his and Hamish's food.

Nick provided a map with walking trails as there are many walks in the area but we only did a short walk through the woods down below the house. The view over the valley from the house was beautiful. We enjoyed the vista over a glass of wine in the afternoon. Thank you Nick for the gift of a bottle of wine!

Haslemere is a pretty village with a number of shops and a good supermarket. We went to the White Horse pub for lunch which was good and Heidi's Cafe for morning tea, which had delectable pastries
