Housesitting for Sarah and Guy is like living every sitter’s dream.

Communication was easy from the get go - Sarah helpfully kept in touch with us leading up to the sit, and provided a thorough welcome pack.

Their home is just stunning. Incredible views over Dartmouth, warm, cosy, and modern. We appreciated that Sarah and Guy put a Christmas tree up for us, even though they wouldn’t be home for the day itself! Dartmouth town is beautiful, so many quirky shops and cafes, and gorgeous walks nearby. Walking to pick up a pasty each morning was a highlight!

Finally, the dogs. Anyone nervous about looking after three active dogs needn’t be with these - they are amongst the most well behaved and quiet dogs we’ve sat. Barney is incredibly affectionate, and loves to fall asleep on your lap. Poppy and Bertie were two lovebirds always snuggled up together, happy to stay in or to play in the park. We fell in love with all of them, and miss them already.

Thank you Guy and Sarah for the pleasure of sitting for you - please do stay in touch.

It was a pleasure to housesit for Llalan, Nick, and Pocket in Washington, DC! From our first interactions, Llalan and Nick were thorough and proactive in ensuring that I had all the information needed for a smooth experience.

Pocket was such a delight! She’s a very low-key and independent cat, but loves to share space and will flop over to request belly rubs at a moment’s notice.

The neighborhood is so convenient, with public transit steps away and restaurants, cafés, museums, etc. within easy walking distance. I had a wonderful time learning more about the city, and would happily return to sit again in the future! Thank you for everything!

Easy to communicate with Sharon and we met before the sit to cover the pet's needs and to grab a key. House in a wonderful location in Boulder. Coby is the sweetest big dog and loved very short walks like a block or two, petting including hip and butt rubs, getting his coat brushed, enjoyed his treats and generally following me around in the house when not taking long naps. Kevin is a hoot spending time outside clearly telling you what he needs. He even joined Coby and I on a few walks - never saw a cat sleep on its back before. Coby is getting older and we had one scare of the steps to the lower level but he is getting older but you know when he is on the move.... just needed to push him up the last step. At times I blocked him from going down.
Comfortable home and the hot tub was a bonus.

Wonderful first experience in pet-sitting with TrustedHousesitters venue! David and Kelsey provided excellent communication throughout their travels as well as a welcome guide and personal introduction to Ripley, Carter, weefish and their home prior to the sit. They have a lovely family home beside a walking path in a beautiful front range community. Their adorable furbabies are sweet and affectionate. I felt very supported and thoroughly enjoyed a dose of puppy love :)

We had an absolutely lovely time housesitting!

Caroline and Simon were amazing hosts; very warm and friendly with LOTS of personality, and their home is just as lovely. Very spacious and one of the most character-filled houses we've ever been in, we challenge any future house-sitters to say they've ever seen one with more personality! A great place to spend our sit, but the sit was made even more enjoyable by their 3 wonderful pups.

Gus is the most chilled dog ever, Jonty is energetic and always up for an adventure, and Bertie will steal your heart with how dashingly handsome he is. The three were great company in an amazing house and an equally amazing location, with a gorgeous beach not even a 5 minute drive away (15mins if you're walking).

We would highly recommend this sit to anyone (providing we aren't free to do it ourselves!)
5 stars out of 5!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SIT AT ALL. This was my first long sit through THS so my best advice now, would be to get a handbook and do a video tour before confirming if you cannot meet in person before starting a sit!!

This home is not accurate to the photos; it’s a townhouse not a house. There are shared walls and you can hear neighbors shutting doors and windows which shakes the house. One room shown is actually an attic and used for storage.

The living room and other rooms were full of clutter, and the house was filthy when I arrived. I thought for sure Marian would get a house cleaner before she left but she didn’t. Once I cleaned and settled in, I asked about getting house cleaners to come every so often which, thankfully, she agreed to. Even still, expect to do a lot of laundry (and only hang dry) because of cleaning puke and poop/pee off the floor.

The area is pretty hard to get around without a car, bike, or scooter.

On top of all that, she was quite disorganized and left me with no notes (so I took a ton) and was not clear about the details or specifics of each cat. One of her cats was VERY sick with thyroid problems and was at the vet with a cold before I came and the first week I was there. He ate constantly (not just every couple hours) and had diarrhea. I fed him medicine twice a day as expected. About a month or so in, I had taken him to the vet again, and he seemed like he had another cold come on. A couple days later, he walked away and never came back. A neighbor texted me when Marian arrived home, that he actually returned. Which is interesting because at that time, Marian also started to send me guilt tripping texts and emails blaming me for her cat leaving (super crazy bc it’s obviously not my fault her cat was sick for years).

Almost two months later, she is still harassing me with name calling and accusations by email and text. I’ve never experienced such ungratefulness and spite in my life. It is not worth it to literally work for free for someone for over two months and instead of gratitude for all the work and loving up a super sick cat that left, to receive hateful notes and wrongful accusations. I have also shared all this with Trusted Housesitters.

DONT DO THIS SIT.
