We had a great time looking after Pepper, and her puppy Miso.

Pepper is lovely and obedient dog. Miso was playful and fun. And whilst it was quite challenging taking care of a little pup and our own toddler, we had a good time and it was a valuable experience. We enjoyed taking dogs on walks in the nearby forest, swimming in the big pool and a big garden with fruit trees.

We had no trouble communicating with Laurence during our stay. She made sure we had everything we needed and was there if we had any questions. Jeremy, who came back a few days before we left, was a pleasant person to be around.

The barn and the whole mill complex are nicely renovated. The big garden with fruit trees, a large swimming pool, and the nearby forest made the place special. It was also a great starting point for exploring the Loire castles.

In summary, our time at this unique place had some unforgettable moments. We would recommend house-sitting for Jeremy and Laurence.

gina
After a friendly, chatty FaceTime with Gina & Rob, I knew that we would get on fine. This was proven true during the lovely evening & meal we enjoyed together prior to their departure.

Their welcome guide was comprehensive and informative, as was the run-through of everything on the day I arrived.

Gina & Rob’s home was delightful. Comfortable, cosy, modern, spotless and with a beautiful en-suite room for the sitter, independent of the main part of the house.

Scooby, the most important part of the housesit, was cute, affectionate, funny and adorable. During the first day or two, I didn’t think I would be getting any cuddles but then, from day 3, he became such a loving boy. He still ventured out a lot but when he was in, he wanted to be with me which was lovely (& only one present in the form of a dead mouse, during the whole 11 days).

Stratford Upon Avon, and the surrounding area, provided me with so much to investigate. National Trust properties, lovely local walks, fab antique centres and, of course, all the touristy Shakespeare related sights, which were an 8 minute walk away.

Communication with Gina during their holiday was good. I sent almost daily updates/videos/photos and they responded quickly to any queries I had.

I really enjoyed this housesit and would love to return another time if asked.

Claire
Claire has a lovely large one bedroom apartment on Kingston Foreshore close to all the great bars and restaurants and with access to lovely walks around the lake. Gibbs and Dis, her two furbabies were absolutely gorgeous and a real pleasure to spend time with. It was difficult to tear yourself away. Medication giving was easy and Claire was fantastic to deal with - giving lots of information. Nothng was left to chance. Hope to return and highly recommended sit.

We really enjoyed our sit at Rhian and Stu's beautiful home. We arrived the night before and they showed us the ropes and were very welcoming. The dogs are very low-maintenance and pretty much run their routines themselves, and walking them on the paths around the house is just bliss. They are very special pooches. Would 100% reccomend.

Elle
I had a very lovely stay in Elle's cosy home with Mew and Ernie!
Elle was welcoming and kind, and made sure I'd be comfortable in her home. Communication with her was excellent. There were no surprises with nothing left out in the house guide and it even included tips for Berlin and the surrounding area. Apart from that it was very easy to reach out to her as she always responded very fast.
Mew and Ernie were a dream. They warmed to me after a very short time and were easy to care for. It was heartwarming to see them bonding with each other from time to time and both have loads of personality. Also especially Ernie LOVES cuddling. We had some great play time over the few days and both were more than accepting of endless pets!
The bed I slept in was very comfy, the flat equipped with everything you would need to house sit comfortably along with good Internet.
I'm so happy that Elle chose me to sit for her and I would love to return in the future.
