It was a real pleasure it was to have such a trusted person stay in our home and care for our furry children while we were on the other side of the country! We had the opportunity to meet Cara, her daughter, and her sweet terrier before they actually took care of everything for us, so we had complete confidence in her abilities. What we didn't anticipate was how much dedication she put into her care! One of our doggies is a ten-month old puppy, who can be a "handful." Cara gave the puppy training exercises to restrain her jumping behavior, and taught her "lie down" commands, and to stay in her crate in the morning until she was calm -- rather than unleashing her pent-up energy at full force. So, we had a trainer, as well as a sitter! She even gave written suggestions for follow-up work! In addition to her loving pet care, Cara was responsible about every aspect of daily home maintenance. Our house was clean, everything was in its place -- Cara was warm and welcoming. Cara and her husband are looking for a new home in our area, and I have the feeling that this house sitting time will lead to continued friendship and shared experiences. We feel lucky to have found Cara. We could not have asked for a better care-taker!
Zachary was an excellent host with thorough intructions for the care of Morty & Gus.... The apartment is cozy & clean & super conveniently located to Austin attractions... Morty & Gus are very obedient & love their long walks on the trails & play time at the dog park. They are very playful & loving and we are always looking forward to being with them again!
This was a a great experience. This family is so so nice, since the first contact Monica was so kind, joyful and charm, also super comprehensive as I was supposed to travel with my husband, then my sister and at the end was my cousin that could make it to come with me. I was ready and so happy to come alone, but at the end Alyce could make it and she fly from Italy to do off this sitting a real adventure. She loves dogs as well and her last dog was so alike to Benno, and she is so sweet that was a perfect sitting for her as well. Benno is so sweet boy, he slept all nights between us and he was lovely with both of us. When we came back to the house he always show us happiness and love. He splits the love very nice between us, one time he fallowed Alyce and other time to me… so we both can feel special when we use to be in different rooms. The walks near the house are super nice, not only Benno enjoy it but so do we. The area is very nice and secure and there is a very nice park near the house. He enjoys a lot the play time and he really likes his toys, he is so funny when he Is playing, that we enjoyed so much this the time with him. He is a rock! one day we take him to explore the city with us and he behave incredibly. He is very obedient and he communicated very well his needs. Of course we miss him already and of course we will sit him again with out any doubts. The house is amazing, it feels like home since the first moment and there is a very nice vibe. Thank you so much beautiful family for the trust to let us sit Benno and of course the trust to open the doors of your house for us. We enjoy everything Benno’s ove, the house and the country. We had an absolute ball looking after Barb and Michael's gorgeous property, and pooches Charlie and Layla. The home is very comfortable and clean with all you could need and more. It is set in the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland, where you awaken to a variety of birdsong. The garden, though extensive, was a pleasure to look after over our 9 weeks. We worked from home during our time and really loved the companionship of Charlie and Layla, they are wonderful characters and were very easy to care for, great little walkers and sleepers! When we grew tired of the bliss and birdsong, the beach was 15 minutes drive away where we would venture to farmers markets, and take lovely long walks with the surf backdrop beside us. Barb and Michael were great to communicate with, and truly wonderful hosts who we now consider friends. We feel blessed to have had this opportunity and would not hesitate to recommend should the opportunity arise. Thank you Barb and Michael x
Kristen and I had an amazing weekend sitting Penny, Lilah, and Ringo(the bearded dragon). The dogs were such good company and very loving and welcoming. Stephanie was an amazing host and communication was very clear. From great restaurant and neighborhood recommendations to detailed walking routes, Stephanie informed us on all we needed to know! We definitely recommend this experience if your looking to feel like a Brooklyn local in a quiet and quaint neighborhood!
These few days we spent in Hans & Cathy's place were absolutely amazing. We had a great communication since we first talked and recived is with open arms. Their dogs are so easy to look after, very well behaved and chilled. All three have differents personalities but you will love them all. Hetty, the oldest is a sweet oldie that is always resting..QT is a funny big princess always wanting to get your attention and play with you and Barry, the male of the bunch, is even sweeter. The house is fantastic, as you may see in the pics, and quitte close to the town where you will find anything you need. If you are looking for a disconnection and chill out, this is your place.
