Anne and Martin were amazing house sitters. They immediately bonded with our dog and took great care of her as their own with lots of love, attention and daily photos. The infamous poisonous processionary caterpillars, which only make an appearance once a year in southern Spain decided to turn up early during their stay. Anne and Martin immediately sought our advice and kept our dog safely away from them. Communication between us all was excellent and felt very natural. They also took wonderful care of our house and were extremely clean, tidy and respectful. Anne and Martin are very easy to get on with and are the sort of couple who make a real effort to integrate into the community they are in. They spoke Spanish to the cleaner and painters, which was greatly appreciated and really made the most of the house and their surroundings. I would recommend them 100%. Such lovely people.
Maddy is a dream of a sitter. She has tons of reviews, has been sitting for years, is super friendly, very professional, and communicates frequently. If she applies for your sit, consider yourself blessed and book her immediately! I know it can be a bit daunting to book a sitter who is coming in from out of town, but Maddy has been doing this for a long time and knows what she is doing. When she sat for us she had already been bumping around the country for over a month doing previous sits back to back. Everything went super smoothly with the sit from beginning to end. Maddy also has a gift with timid animals. We have had some issues with our precious Paco in previous sits where he was so stressed by our absence and a new person in his environment that he hid a bunch and lost a lot of his fur, even with great sitters. We talked about all of this with Maddy before the sit in hopes she would devote a little extra time with Paco to help him feel more safe and welcome. She went above and beyond with him! She was so gentle yet nurturing with him that Paco was coming out of his shell with her immediately and was belly up and playing by day 3. We were shocked. He was acting completely himself in every picture and when we returned home he confirmed this by greeting us at the door first thing with confidence and with all his super soft fur we are used to. No hair loss at all! He was totally fine! It gave us hope for future travel without constantly worrying about him. I can't recommend Maddy enough. She took such great care of our kitties and our home. Daily updates with pictures are often without being asked. It was obvious she spent devoted time hanging out with our kitties, petting them and playing with them - not just living among them. She left our apartment clean and our kitties happy. She watered our plants too and brought in the mail (which we didn't even ask her to do). I would trust her with our animals and home again in a heartbeat, no question. Thanks Maddy, you're the best!!!
Victoria was amazing, sent me regular updates about the animals and was quick to notice when one of my cats developed a nasty sore on his neck, she got straight in touch for some advice which I was really grateful for. One of my dogs Storm is very difficult to walk as she really suffers with anxiety when I'm not there, Victoria was really patient with her and managed to get her out for short walks. The house was spotless when I got home too 😀
