Helen was SO welcoming and kind immediately upon meeting her, and we were lucky to have time to share a meal and stories with her on both ends of our house sit. She thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable, plus had lots of great recommendations for things to do in the area. I felt more like I was checking into a fancy wellness retreat than house sitting! Her cozy, tranquil adobe yurt home was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. We fell in love with the unobstructed views of the nearby mountains and stunning desert sunrises and sunsets (especially if you take a little hike up a hill for a panoramic view). The quiet surroundings and dark skies were so restorative to the soul. We loved hiking the trails around the property and spent a lot of time in the screened in porch in the sun with a coffee or tea. The cats just slept most of the time we were there, but really warmed up to us within about 2-3 days and then wanted near-constant pets and drinks out of the bathroom sink when they were awake. They're incredibly sweet and we miss them already! We're so grateful we got the chance to meet Helen, Peaches, and Bella, and we can't wait to come back again sometime soon!
I stayed and took care of Patrick and Roses beautiful home and small holding or 6 nights and had such an amazing experience. The communication was effortless, i arrived a day early to meet them and could not have felt more at home they are the nicest couple you could ask for. They showed me around and gave great instructions. There were lovely guests in the 3 cottages during the week also. The property is just 3 miles from Brecon so a great location for walks, runs and a pub just around the corner. They have wifi which is great for anyone looking to work from the house like i did. It was an excellent experience and definitely hope to take care of their home and small holding again. Thank you!
I had a fantastic time in Serena’s beautiful flat with her lovely little Duna! The apartment was even nicer than I expected, and Duna was so cuddly and easy to take care of. She likes to sleep curled up with you and make biscuits on you 🥹 Serena was was so kind, and very understanding and accommodating of some last minute logistical challenges caused by Deutsche Bahn, and communication throughout the 2 weeks was always stellar. I feel so fortunate to have gotten the chance to stay with Duna and I’d jump at the chance to do it again!
I really enjoyed sitting for Frances and Roger in they comfortable house. The setting is beautiful, surrounded with nature with woodlands walks. I also enjoyed cycling to near town Stroud, it took me about hour to get there through beautiful countryside. The pets are lovely, Erwin is very friendly cat, he knows his way how to get extra treats from you :). Alpaca Briggs is a little bit shy, he would prefer watch you from a distance. I had a great time with cute little Lola and Missy in Olney! The place is lovely, very comfy and surrounded by nature and amazing walks to take the girls! Missy and Lola are so friendly, cute, easy to take car of and I was sad to leave them. Together we explored the country side, beautiful Emberton country Park and Olney, a cute little town with great history, shops and coffee shops. I didn't have a car but Wendy and her children arranged to take me to the station and bring me back which was really kind. I would definitely recommend this sit to couples or solo travelers who want to take care of two cuties while enjoying a quiet time in nature.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time house sitting for Rebecca and Jeff. They were very hospitable and friendly. We had everything we needed and their home is in a wonderful location. We loved being surrounded by trees and hiking trails just a short walk away. Ruthie was the sweetest dog. She was a bit anxious around us at first but after a few days she became our best friend and grew very close to us. Rebecca was great at communicating and easy to get in touch with. We would definitely come back if we ever had the chance.
