What a lovely family! I only got to sit for Kyler and Konrad, I had the best time! Kyler and his husky-tude now owns a piece of my heart! He and I just vibed! Konrad, on the other hand, is the happiest dog I think I’ve ever met! And the way they were when they were together was hysterical! They push each other out of the way to get all of the pets 😂 This was my first sit and I truly had a great time! Thank you Seth and Sam!
Stephanie and Carl reside in a charming farmhouse located in a serene town just an hour away from Portland. We were captivated by their collection of animals and embraced the countryside living, especially appreciating their warm hospitality, support, and effective communication. They guided us through everything on our first day, providing detailed explanations and helpful routine lists that made settling in much easier. Additionally, they generously shared blueberries, fresh eggs from their chickens and elk meat, which we enjoyed and deeply appreciated. Highly recommend them!
What an amazing experience this was. Boris, Claudia and their daughter, Suvi, are so lovely, kind and welcoming. We loved getting to know them and their adorable pets. We stayed for 2 weeks, taking care of their wonderful house and pets, and enjoyed every minute of it. They live in an area surrounded by a beautiful forest, which treats you with mesmerizing views, fresh air, and peaceful silence. We would start our days drinking hot tea on a bench in the garden, soaking in the morning sun and recharging our batteries. In the evening, we would walk around, sometimes spotting deer, rabbits and horses on close-by stables. Yet, the best part, was getting to know their pets. We already miss so much Emma and Sputnik, the 2 adorable ponies who make the funniest sounds when they are hungry and excited for treats. We miss Gerd, their Greek tortoise, full of character and attitude. It was heart-warming how he would run towards you, once he sees you. He's a super social little fella, who enjoys blueberries and his garden rocks 😁. We miss Emilia and Nelly, the two charming cats. Once they got used to us, they would grace us with their purring, cuddles and sweet personalities (especially Nelly). We also miss Annie, even though we spent only 2 days with her, she's such a sassy, adorable furball. Boris, Claudia and Suvi are amazing hosts, we really enjoyed the 2 nights we got to hang out with them, sharing delicious meals and stories. We hope our paths cross again! Thank you for everything!
Adrian, Alison & the family were super sweet and accommodating. Happy to pick us up, leave some food & didn't mind when one of us had to leave the housesit early Their house was lovely, warm and easy to look after. In a cute & very friendly village Darcie and Banjo are such a fun, energetic duo. Darcie is huuge, cuddly and very rewarding to befriend, it helped being comfortable handling big dogs, she develops a bond and has very emotive eyes. Banjo is sweet, very snuggly and loves walking so much he will not stop spinning in circles near the door haha. Loved the unlikely duo and they made our time in Randalstown fun, relaxing and rewarding All the best to the family, hope we'll cross ways some day :) Fi & Xanthe
Location: Nice quiet neighborhood with a park and public transportation nearby. We had no need for a car as there was easy access to food, shops, and transportation. We felt safe and enjoyed the beautiful walks. Home: Billy and Ruben’s home is a second floor flat with access to a yard and deck making it nice for relaxing. The home is tidy, clean, and comfortable. We had room to work, eat, relax, and enjoyed our stay very much. Hosts: Billy and Ruben took care to leave detailed information about Cruz and the neighborhood. The kitchen was well stocked and very clean. The bedroom and living area was comfortable. Billy and Ruben were great with communication and provided cell numbers for check-ins and questions. They were quick to respond to us before and during the sit. Dog: Cruz is a sweet active 2 year old rescue from Puerto Rico. He takes a bit to warm up to you but is quick with the lovin’s and cuddles. He loves to “go outside” and will do his business in the yard or on a leash. He is easy to care for and very easy to fall in love with. Billy and Ruben have provided a wonderful home for Cruz and he shows his appreciation with kindness and ease of care. Listing: The THS listing and pictures were accurate and honest. After the Zoom meet and conversations after, there were no surprises upon arrival. The home and surroundings were as described and we were provided printed detailed instructions. Reflection: We would highly recommend this sit for anyone looking to enjoy time in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to a vibrant scenic downtown Chicago. Cruz is a doll and Billy and Ruben are welcoming hosts.
I had a wonderful time housesitting for Ruth. Communication was excellent and her instructions were clear and helpful. Ernie and Hamish were such a precious ginger cat duo- I loved cuddling and playing with them. The neighborhood was fun to explore and Ruth kindly gave lots of great local dining and sightseeing suggestions. Ruth is a kindhearted woman doing great work for the world. Grateful for this experience.
