I had a great stay with Jill! Emma and Andrew were extremely accommodating and communicative at every step of the way. They have a beautiful home in a great little neighborhood in the east end where I enjoyed my time. Jill is the sweetest and quirkiest little cat. She is very affectionate when she feels so inclined and will make herself known vocally when she wants attention, but just as often keeps to herself as well. I would 10/10 recommend housesitting with Jill!
Valerie and Geoff made us very welcome in their cosy home. The cats, Trigger and Jasper are 2 independent animals but a delight to care for. They eat well and reward you with the occasional request for tickles or treats. The area is very interesting and diverse. Plenty to see and do, all on the doorstep. Happy to return.
We had a wonderful time on this sit. Chase is the sweetest, friendliest dog on the planet. We took him for long walks along the countryside with no leash from day one and had no problem getting him to follow us. He gets fed once a day and Esther had all the portions ready for us. As a bonus we got to sit Fluffy the hamster who is so cute, soft and easy to care for. This large home is just outside of Rome in the countryside. Large yard to play with Chase in, lots of fresh air, beautiful sunsets and tons of birds chirping. Super comfortable bed, large equipped kitchen, fast wifi, and tons of tv’s. Not far from Rome, the location is perfect from which to explore the historical towns of Bracciano (extending around the 15th century Orsini-Odescalchi castle), Trevignano and Anguillara, all located around a beautiful lake (Lago di Bracciano) and all boasting some excellent restaurants, both fancy and laid-back, many with breathtaking lake views. Esther and her family are friendly, welcoming and easy-going. Highly recommend!
I absolutely loved pet sitting for Toby et al. The pets are so cute. The guinea pigs are really sweet and self-sufficient. Indie the cat loved a cuddle and was very lovely. But Buddy the dog I absolutely fell in love with. He was so sweet and loved going on long walks. Barely barked and was happy to follow me around the house and/or chill out! It was a real pleasure and I would happily do it again. Toby also very easy to communicate with and very chilled out!
Chippy and Simon have an amazing house and made me feel very welcome and explained all the things I needed to know. I was a bit worried about watering the plants as I'm prone to killing them, but I think they all survived? Rosie is the most affectionate cuddly dog I've ever met, and I had a fantastic time looking after her. Rosie and I had nice walks down the river and it was lots of fun seeing her find her usual swimming spots and enjoying the water. Unusually the owners don't allow Rosie on the sofa, which is a bit of a shame as she really adores cuddles with her humans. Rosie likes 2.5 hours of walking a day spread over 2 walks to be nicely worn out, so bring decent walking boots!
Hendrix was a dog that was full of life and excitement, has a passion for balls and toys and a very quick learning, a lovely dog to sit for. Great if you like walking, most days we had a nice long walk around different parts Hampstead Heath, it is beautiful time of year. Thanks for having us
