Kate and Christopher are great humans! I had everything I needed for a comfortable and wonderful stay. I loved sitting at the kitchen table with the natural light coming in through the big south facing windows. The animals are SO SWEET. They were relaxed and just liked having someone around to snuggle and spend time with. Demi and I took 2 walks a day and she would ring the sliding door bell when she wanted to be let out into the fenced yard. She’s intelligent, athletic, funny, interactive, she prances and doesn’t pull at all on the leash. The cats are both total sweeties. They’re observant, loving, curious, independent, affectionate, and really pretty kitties. I loved these animals. Thank you Chris & Kate!!
We had the great pleasure of looking after little Miss Gracie for 5 weeks recently while her parents were away. What a delightful little girl she was , such a loving soul, full of fun and just an absolute sweetheart. We are headed back shortly for another month and can’t wait. Roz and Peter are just lovely people, their home is beautiful and very comfortable, in a great location near the lake. Margie was a wonderful and very welcoming home owner who provided all the information I required to care for her home and dog Holly and also details of the area so that I would be comfortable in her neighbourhood visiting cafes etc. Margie and Arthur let me stay with them the night before they left and we had a wonder dinner together. I absolutely loved getting to know both Margie and Arthur. Margie is kind and full of heart and so easy to communicate with and she made sure I was comfortable in every way. Their dog Holly, labrador, is absolutely a pleasure and she was very easy to take care of and very affectionate. Margie and Arthur's home is so beautiful and reminded me so much of my own home. Susie was well-prepared for our stay and clearly outlined all we needed to know for caring for her pets and home. Percy and Tina are sweet, independent, and easy-going, and got along swimmingly with our pup, Scrammy. Susie has a cute home, located in a safe, quiet neighborhood about 1.5 miles from downtown Hood River.
I enjoyed my week with Meggie and Edie. Meggie is a dear old girl struggling with thyroid issues and who spends her time eating, sleeping, and eating -- as much as you will give. She is so grateful for chin rubs now and then and deserves all the care and pampering she has left in this world. Her health problems cause peeing just outside the litter box, but I found that changing the puppy pad and giving the small floor area a quick wipe down once a day kept everything fresh. Edie is a lap cat and purr machine who loves sitting outdoors contemplating the grass and sky. She brought me a mouse one morning! Caroline's home -- spacious, well lived-in, and brimming with historic beauty -- is a 15 minute walk to the station and the charming village of Emsworth. Thank you for opening your home to me and give the girls extra kisses (and treats) for me.
