Shannon & Aaron were great house sitters. They were easy to communicate with and shared updates on our animals.

They were extremely easy. We came back to a very clean house. They did multiple things that we forgot to discuss, including bringing a plant that was previously dying back to life and bringing our trash cans back into the correct location.

Most importantly, our furbabies seem happy and were definitely well cared for.

We would definitely recommend and have them back.

Kate and James were wonderful hosts that spent time before our sit to go over everything. Detailed instructions were left and easy to follow. The house is very comfortable and a quiet place to hang out, especially the back patio where you can watch hummingbirds while getting your cat lap time. The fruits and veggies of the garden were also appreciative. The kitties are easy to take care of, they are aloof most of the day but have specific times of desired attention time.

This was the first time I have had any contact with rescue dogs, but having read the profiles of Ash and Yamas and the previous feedbacks, I decided to accept. I`m glad I did as I had a very pleasant time with three, more later, "friends".

Ash
Ash is a Galco Español (spanish Galgos or Spanish Greyhound. He is tall, slim smooth-coated and majestic looking with his long neck, long face and piercing eyes - especially when sitting down. He has an enormously long thin tail and it`s interesting to watch how he brings his ears back when he starts running.
Before I met him, I read up on how to initially approach rescue dogs and the kind of cautious behaviours they can display. Ash displayed none of these. He met me on arrival and was immediately friendly. His breed is not the type that needs constant companionship, and after a little time he retired to one of his beds! Over the next few days, this was his pattern - sometimes he came and stood beside me for attention, sometimes I went to him and spent time with him - but he remained lying down but watching me with his eyes! The Galco Español, although needing exercise, can happily lounge about all day!
When it was time to go out and he heard his lead being lifted, he made straight for the door and stood there patiently while I attached his lead - and waited patiently until I got Yamas ready as he gets a little more excited! From a previous feedback I went prepared, but I had absolutely no issues when out walking with him. I walked him through Dundee city centre, along by the river, in Dudhope Park and to Broughty Ferry. I did keep him close to me in the City Centre with so many people, but he quite happily walked by my side. Absolutely no sign of anxiety. He was friendly towards other dogs - stopping to say "hello" as they do and then moving on. On one occasion one dog showed aggression when we were out, but he did not retaliate in any way and we kept walking. Although a tall muscular and strong dog, he never pulled on his lead and I never had any issue with him pulling on his lead.
Ash drew a lot of attention from other people. People stopped and "talked" to him. One man told me "You have lovely dogs". We sat outside at "Gracie`s," a dog-friendly cafe in Broughty Ferry and one couple who rescue Labrador Retrievers were surprised to hear Ash was a rescue dog - they said his behaviour did not indicate that! He took all the attention and never showed any negative aggression - and I felt very comfortable!
I did wonder about putting on his nappy as requested, but again, no issues! I would call him over to me, show him the nappy, explain what I was to do and he stood beside me while I put it on, took all the praise due - and then went back to one of his beds!
After one day, I was able to use a retractable lead on him which gave him a lot more freedom to run around, and he accepted it very well. I just did not feel we knew each other well enough to let him run lead free!

Yamas
Yamas is a mixed Cockapoo best described as impish and cute with his lovely face and ears. Again he was friendly from our first meeting and followed me around quite a lot. He loves attention and company and sat with me a lot. Alternatively, his favourite bed is the large round chair in one of Cora`s rooms where he can rest his head on the cushions!
He gets a little excited by running to the door when he hears his lead being lifted and runs in circles whilst I tried to attach it to his collar - but looking forward to getting out!
I walked with him through the same places as I walked Ash - and again he was very well behaved and showed no negative issues. He was also inquisitive of other dogs, saying "hello" as they do and then moving on. Again he ignored a dog that barked at us! He was excellent on his lead and I also used a separate retractable lead on him which allowed him to run and explore at his own pace - he has such little legs compared to Ash! He was very accommodating of MacDuff and allowed him to play with his tail!

MacDuff
MacDuff is a new addition to "the family" - a beautifully marked, silky-smooth coated Bengal cat with a lovely hear-shaped face and inquisitive eyes,
He was friendly from the first meeting and spent a lot of time around me when I was indoors. Bengal cats are smart, athletic, fun to watch and like company. Obviously, most of the time is taken up with being outside with Ash and Yamas! Inside, MaDuff loved being beside me on a chair, lying on his back and having under his chin tickled. He "chats" quite a lot and is very loud. He loved play, and especially being covered with the floor-rug or sofa-blanked. Trying to get a lead on Ash or Yamas took a little time as he loves to play with and catch them. Quite often when Yasmas was sitting on the floor near me, MacDuff played happily with his swishing tail.
MacDuff is a fully-trained house-cat and Cora has the most amazing self-cleaning litter tray you never need to take any action with!

And finally, "thank you" to Cora for giving me the opportunity to spend time with Ash, Yamas and MacDuff. Cora had moved to a new flat one week before my arrival. It is part of beautifully remodelled old hospital - very large rooms, very bright and plenty of space for MacDuff to run around in. Inside, I spent most of the time sitting on one of the chairs in front of the large picture windows. The spacious Dudhope Park is five minutes across the road and you can see it from the flat. I took Ash and Yamas there on their morning and pre-bedtime walks. The city centre and river is probably about a 30 minute walk away. I have visited them before, but I would recommend the MacManus Museum which is full of displays relevant to the city, the V&A - not just a boring museum but a "meeting place in the city", the "Discovery" ship built in Dundee for journeys to the South Pole and the adjacent Discovery exhibition building, the waterfront area and walks along its river and Broughty Ferry, a nice area full of independent shops and cafe`s. We walked to Broughty Ferry and it took about 01.45 hours - but Ash and Yamas loved it! They slept well when we came back!

Cora has obviously done a great work with Ash and Yamas as they did not show any indications of being rescue dogs, and I would recommend spending time with them - and also with MacDuff!

Martha
Great home, great hosts, great cats! We thoroughly enjoyed our sit in this beautiful home with two friendly, funny, and affectionate kitties. Martha and Michael are generous and outgoing hosts. They left good instructions for the care of the cats and home and they were easy to communicate with while away. The location is excellent for getting around Denver as well as being a very walkable neighborhood. We hope to return one day. A highly recommended sit!

Lynn
Sitting Andromeda was amazing, She is a very loving and caring dog, she was friendly from the first stepped into the apartment, Lynn showed us around and was very nice.
The location is absolutly incredible, Andromeda does do some barking but she behaves really well, considering she is a bit reactive we had no problem and she was very nice on all our walks. We defintely will miss Andromeda and walking around the Acropolis with Andromeda

This truly was a 5* sit! We were welcomed with a beautiful dinner, and a lovely evening getting to know both Bill & Sharon before they headed off on their holiday. Their home is top notch and equipped with absolutely everything a guest could ask for. Auchterarder is a sizable community with a variety of sites to see within an hour drive and whatever you might need, right in town. But the real 5* was Tulla the Boxer! So adorable - she absolutely kept us entertained. Very easy, whether putting on her harness, going for her daily walks, riding in the car, eating her meals or going to bed - such a sweetheart. Thank you so much for letting us care for your pup and home. Until next time 😉

An amazing place, a very loving cat Otis and two great and friendly people 😊 staying here was a delight. I was given lots of local recommendations and sightseeing ideas which I loved. The house was beautiful with a lovely backyard which was nice to take Otis for a walk, lots of helpful communication as well in case I needed anything. I would definitely sit for them again 😊
