My son Oskar and I can't say enough great things about Lori and her pets, but we will try!! Scandia is one of the most beautiful parts of our area in Minnesota - a bit famous for it. While most of the state is notoriously flat, Lori's house is in one of the hills-and-valleys sort of area near the bluffs of the St Croix Vally Way and river. I grew up, like so many others, with my family taking me to the river on weekends to either canoe, or just play all day. And Lori lives right in the middle of this beautiful area. It is actually really close to the downtown area, and easy to reach by car in 30-35 minutes. But even better, her part of this beautiful area is right on one of the most beautiful State parks in Minnesota along the river - her short footpath walk right up to it!! Everyone I know grew up going out there many times with their families. If you want an escape to absolute, pure beauty, don't miss a chance to sit for Lori. Her chickens are too easy and fun to care for, and are a joy to watch. And her pups and cats are lovely and so comforting. Oskar didn't want to leave, and we both had the best sleep of our lives. Her house and barn are beautiful, her family so kind, and her house is organized so well that everything just makes sense. Even without her thoughtful manual, we knew what to do and where everything is. We dearly hope we get to sit again for Lori, and see her lovely furry ones soon. Thank you Lori!!!!
This was an excellent house sit. I couldn't arrive until after Joe and Sarah left, so Joe did a video tour of the house for food and water and what not, which was very helpful. The cats are super sweet and all have different personalities. They like to snuggle and have their own little cat door. The responsibilities were quite easy - mostly keeping up with food and water and a nightly pill for Mipmip. I had excellent communication with Joe during the 7 week stay and he let me stay a day after he returned to suit my travel plans. I would definitely return!
Sitting for Leela was a blast! I watched her for 17 lovely days while her parents were away on an adventure~! 🐶 She is the sweetest girl; silly and always ready to play! She is exceptionally well behaved and affectionate. A joy to play with outside, to go on walks with, or even to simply relax with indoors. As a warning, she might cuddle/lick you to half to death. She can be bursting with energy one moment and curled up beside you the next. I really enjoyed getting to spend so much of my time with Leela and would happily sit for her again. Jessica and John are both wonderful people! I met with them before the sit, as they gave me a tour of the house and went over caring for Leela. As they requested I gave them regular updates on her. Their house is clean and organized, within a quiet neighborhood, and the backyard makes for a great playing area. Everything went flawlessly. I definitely recommend sitting for them!
House sitting was very easy, simple instructions for pets. Communication was simple. House was clean and welcoming and dogs are sweet and friendly.
Sarah and Alex are a super nice couple who explained us everything with a lot of details and very well. They also have a very nice home who was full of xmas decorations and made if even cozier. We felt so comfy and welcomed. The kids, Tiga and Rio, are absolutely lovely, playful, tender, easy going and cute. Couldn’t have a better experience taking care of them!
