Shane looked after my house and two Springer Spaniels for almost two weeks over Christmas. Shane was extremely responsive and easy to communicate with when organising the house sit and was happy to FaceTime with me and provide me with the contact details for her referee. Shane agreed to come in a day early so I could introduce her to my dogs and show her around, for which I was very grateful. It meant that I could go through things with Shane personally and in easy time rather than the handover being rushed and logistically difficult right before going on holiday. My two springer spaniels are ‘spirited’ with their particular quirks at the best of times and one of them has very particular medical issues that require regular medication and monitoring. Shane was fabulous with the dogs and attended to all of their needs and I felt immediately comfortable in having Shane care for my fur babies. Shane was particular in asking me lots of questions about the dogs, their routines and the house and she left my house absolutely spotless and shiny. The dogs were very well looked after and were sorry to see her go. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Shane to anyone wanting someone reliable, very neat and tidy, trustworthy and caring and would certainly invite her to the house sit for me again. Gwen was a wonderful housesitter - she is really lovely and took such care to understand all our needs. She hadn’t looked after rats before but was really up for it, got them out for a run-around each day and sent the sweetest photos of the cats too. The house was spotless when we returned and she had put the sheets on to wash. She and Miguel are welcome back any time!
