Laura was a pleasure to work with. She was very communicative and asked all the questions she needed to get set up for the sit, was self-sufficient during the sit and left the house in perfect condition. She is a caring person and bonded with the outdoor kitties I care for. I highly recommend her.
I thoroughly enjoy my sit for Nicola and Warwick. The house is simply gorgeous. The dining room is where I spent most of my days working as it has so much natural light (windows) that it felt like sitting outside, just not as cold! There are two fireplaces for those colder months and I enjoyed a few evenings cuddled with the dogs in front of the telly with a cosy fire. Fig and Truffle are as opposite as you're likely to get in 2 dogs. Fig is still young and full of energy. Always wants to run, play fetch and just be a loon. Truffle is a little princess but sooo cute. It rained most of the time I was there so I didn't get to enjoy the surrounding countryside as much as I had hoped. Truffle also doesn't like getting her Princess feet wet but I managed to get her out most days. She is definitely the smallest dog I have been responsible for so far and is easily 'lost' when on a walk. Being so small, and the fact that she tends to walk right on your heel, I often found myself having minor panic attacks thinking she'd wandered off, only to find her right next to me! Valerie tends to do her own thing most of the time but will periodically come to you for cuddles when it suits her. And then you dare not stop giving her fuss until she's ready to leave again :) The chickens were no hassle and were laying 2-3 eggs a day despite the cold and miserable weather. Likewise, the sheep required little effort, just a daily check to ensure all were accounted for and as 4 of the ewes were pregnant during my sit, I had to give them some supplementary feed each day. Gutted about the weather and I do hope that Nicola and Warwick will consider me for future sits as I'd love to spend time with the pets again. All in all, a very enjoyable sit which I'd highly recommend to those who want a more rural, quieter setting in a village where everyone seems to know each other. Thank you Nicola for entrusting me with your fur and feathered family.
Ashley is super kind and friendly, she greeted us with an open heart and a big smile. Her apartment is so beautiful! Very comfortable and cozy, with an amazing bed and bathtub. It is located in a marvelous condo at the best area of Atlanta, right on the Beltline so you have the best restaurants and pubs at walking distance - including Krog market. Ponce market is also very close by. Leo is such a sweet boy, loving and full of energy who is always up for playing. He was always near by and cuddling, which we love! He is that kind of dog that snnugles into you and just spoons perfectly.
Margot and Gordon have a quaint home in Busserolles. I was amazed at how many rooms are in a home that looks smaller on the outside. They way she fits three pianos in one room just makes it work! Cozy isn't a perfect enough word for the way this home is decorated. Sooty is such a loving boy! He is a solid black lab who clearly gets plenty of exercise and took me for glorious walks along the french countryside each and every day. It's like he is a host and always looking to please you and see if you enjoy where you are and he even stops if he doesn't want you to go a certain way. Millie and Sirus are cats who like to stick by their home. Millie will watch you during the day, but at night she is your buddy sleeping on the bed with you. Sirus likes to check on you inside or out by rubbing on you and the opposite at night, he is usually on the couch. Scratches behind the ears will get you purrs, of course. Margot and Gordon are so welcoming and made sure they showed me where to go with Sooty and even had some neighbors meet me as well so not to feel alone if I needed them. Margot told me I should get the fish and chips on Friday at the Bistro Vue Du Puit, the restaurant in the village, and she was correct! It was amazing. He and the baker sure are great neighbors to have! Ha!
I loved , loved my stay at Kristin's. She was thoughtful, communicative, generous, kind, and so fun to chat with. The two week stay went by so quickly, the four dogs were all hilarious and lovely in their own ways. Scarlet is an absolute sweetheart, Gidget is a lovable monster (aka Stitch), Margaux flops over for belly rubs, and Duncan is full of energy and bounce, especially when he goes after his Frisbee! I will miss the bunch but extremely thankful for the time I got to spend with Kristin and her entire family!
We really enjoyed this house sit. The dogs were so well behaved and the apartment was so comfortable and clean. The apartment complex has really lovely facilities and the nearby beach and town are charming. We fell in love with the girls and miss them already
I had an amazing time with Kimchi and Mochi in Rotterdam! They are so nice to have around! They needed some time to get used to me, but soon I was able to pet them and Mochi was sitting with me on the sofa. They loved to spend time together on the balcony, just chilling or playing with their toys. If you see Kimchi running around with his cigar toy he will definitely make you laugh. The apartment is super nice, comfortable and has everything you need. The view is amazing and the apartment has a lot of light. There are two desks with an extra screen, so perfect for if you work from home. The apartment is in a nice area, with everything you need close by. I met Francesca and David a few weeks before the house sit and arrived the evening before the house sit started. They are super kind and helpful, they made sure I had everything I needed and explained everything really well. The welcome guide was super clear, and they were available for questions all the time. I really enjoyed the time with Kimchi and Mochi in Rotterdam! Hope to see them back in the future! If you have the chance to take care of them, don’t hesitate! You will love it! Thank you so much Francesca and David!
