Bridget
We enjoyed looking after Baggins and Lottie, although as the weather was very warm we didn't actually see very much of either of them, as they have a wonderful garden and countryside to wander in.
Bridget and Tim made us feel welcome and we had a useful tour of the house when we arrived. Their home is a very characterful farmhouse and together with their garden it made for a very enjoyable short stay.
There are great walks from the house and it's a good location for exploring Herefordshire.
For future sitters, it would be helpful to have a bit more detail in the Welcome Guide as there were a few things we forgot to ask about which would have helped in looking after the house.
Would recommend to anyone looking for low maintenance cats in the countryside!

Louise
Louise’s house was a delight to spend time in. It’s beautiful, spacious and very comfortable. The cats were a delight and Arthur’s medical issues weren’t too much hassle at all. I took the bus into the centre of Bristol a few times which was very easy as the bus stop is so close to their house.

Iveta
I had a wonderful experience housesitting for Iveta and her family. We met over videochat and made arrangements for my stay. I came from Canada to the UK and did this house sit in the middle of other planned activities.
Iveta went out of her way to make me comfortable in their home and to help get me oriented to the area. Bessie is a wonderfully trained dog who was a fabulous walking companion. We trotted for hours through the Cotswolds hills and she came in the car with me to visit the Avebury Stone Circle and Oxford. She does draw attention so be prepared to talk about the beautiful animal you are privileged to accompany. She is very calm with strangers.
The cats and chickens are peaceful, independent and happy in their lives. The care instructions were through and uncomplicated.
It was a lovely way to spend a week.

Alexa
Alexa was a great host! So friendly and easy-going. Communication was clear. Everything I needed was in the guide, as well. I felt right at home. Atlas and Meeka were so sweet and will-behaved. Atlas is very true to his breed. He loves affection, loves his ball and sharing his toys. Meeka is more independent but also appreciates affection. Such sweet babies. I had zero issues during my stay and was sad to leave those babies behind!

Lindsay
This was definitely a 5 star sit. Eric and Lindsay are terrific. Eric walked us through all the house/pet/alpaca responsibilities and they are quite easy to do. Mousse gets a 100% perfect behavior and personality score. She is just wonderful! Butter is a sweetie but you need to take it slow getting to know her but she is easy to care for. We found that if you approach her when she comes outside of her closet area she is more open to being scratched, leashed and brought outside. She barks and is defensive inside her closet area. But you see very little of her as she sleep most of the day and night. She had some potty accidents but no problem cleaning them up. The alpaca's are mostly self-sufficient. You just provide a bit of daily hay and water and clean out the stall enclosure (if you chose to do that) and that's it. They are not pets. The only other thing to do is daily watering of outdoor plants which is easy due to sufficient # of hoses and good water pressure. The house was cute and comfortable. The location outstanding. You are on 2.5 acres of land and it is very tranquil and quiet. There is a lot of shade. The bed was very comfortable and. the kitchen was well-equipped and designed. There is a floor A/C which kept us cool (and can be easily moved from room to room) even on the 100 degree days we were there. So everything was great and we would go back for another sit anytime they need us. In fact, we are already scheduled for a second sit and looking forward to it. We highly recommend this sit.

Branwen
We had never been to the Welsh Valleys before and this was something of a pilgrimage for me as my grandfather was born in the Rhondda. We had a really interesting and enjoyable week and everyone we met was friendly and helpful, especially our hosts, Branwen and Matthew who went out of their way to welcome us into their gorgeous, bright and spacious home.

Tibbs is a beautiful low-maintenance lady, very independent and communicative. She sat with us a few times, but preferred to sleep on the bed when indoors. She did cause us some concern towards the end of the sit as she appeared to be off her food and her eyes were watering. Branwen told us that Tibbs was visiting the neighbours for food and her eyes did water occasionally. We cleaned them as advised and had no further issues.

A very peaceful spot to take in the magnificent views with a coffee and a cat and some quilting!
