Apologies for not leaving feedback before now! I don't even know where to start with how much I enjoyed this housesit. Firstly, the welcome! When I arrived I was shown around the local area, told about all the wonderful things to do and took the dogs for a walk to familiarise myself with their calls and behaviour (which is impeccable). I even went with Josephine for a very fresh dip at the beach at the end of the road (which is beautiful). The house was absolutely stunning - just like in the photographs - and I fell more in love with the house and the area as time went on. And the best bit....Haji and Summer! Same breed, totally different and completely loveable personalities. We went on so many wonderful adventures together and I still miss them months later! I feel really grateful and lucky to have been chosen for this housesit and I'd go back again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended for any housesitters looking for a tranquil, serene place to explore with two of the most gorgeous dogs you'll ever meet, especially if you're a lover of traditional Irish music!
Santi is such a fun pooch to spend time with and care for. He is curious, chill, goofy, and energetic. He can play for hours at Vondelpark (which I took him to twice a day - the park is a great way to get your steps in because it's huge). He can also sleep for hours on the couch or under the dining table while you work. He doesn't fuss about walking in the rain. He is such a pleasure to wake up to every morning. I love how he nudges me to play. He's a giant low maintenance teddy bear. Santi likes the dog park at Vondelpark, the pet store, his friend Emmett (who we sometimes run into at the park), playing fetch (with sticks outside and with toys inside), morning hugs and stretches, and treats (lots of them). Santi also doesn't shed! The only time I saw hair come out of him is when I brush him. Annika's house is beautiful, clean, spacious, and in an amazing location. It has huge high ceilings and is filled with light. It's a great place to work in if you work remotely. It has a great kitchen if you like cooking. Cafes, restaurants, and stores are all around. It was really quite a privilege to stay in her home with Santi.
Excellent sit, Sally made me so welcome, as did Xavier and Lola. Two happy well behaved dogs. It was a pleasure to stay in their beautiful home, which is well placed for a walk into York or a drive around the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. Highly recommend and I would love to return
Amazing place, great location. Sarah is lovely and everything was clear to me as she explained everything when i ve arrived. I could always text her if i had questions. One cat loves to cuddle. The other one is a bit shy i didnt see her often. Love to come back. Greetings =)
Amy and Kory are wonderful people. They made me feel like an old friend. The house is cute and cozy. Easy to take care of with a comfortable bed, office, and living room. I read in the recliner for hours. The chickens are easy to take care of, and entertaining to watch! I enjoyed my time in Lexington, including: - A long jog along horse farms, starting at Keeneland Racetrack - Four Roses Distillery (but you could choose any or all of the distilleries along the bourbon trail.) - A jazz concert at Castlewood Park (within walking distance) - Checking out Greyline Station (within walking distance) - Black Swan Books - Kentucky Native Cafe I hope you enjoy your time in Lexington!
The host made us feel welcome and very accommodating, the house is very comfortable and well equipped within walking distance (5 minutes ) to the high street with shops, pubs, coffee shops and restaurant mostly dog friendly and you have buses to go to nearby villages too Lola is a very loving and gentle dog, loves playing with her ball and going for long walks in the woods only a few minutes from the house mostly off the lead as friendly with other dogs and people , at home she loves the attention and cuddles on the sofa A great plus of this sit is all the nice and friendly neighbours who are always around to help We highly recommend this sit , we had a great time
