I had the most wonderful time caring for and hanging out with sweet Miss Bennett in Christine's very lovely home. And what a delight Christine is! Due to some rescheduling, Christine warmly welcomed me into her home the night before she left. Her apartment is so pretty in addition to being extremely well-organized, super comfy, and in a fantastic location. For two weeks, I thoroughly enjoyed waking up in the quiet and sunny apartment, getting some writing done, going out to explore the fascinating and complex city (I might add, it is a vegan's paradise!), and then coming back home to a beautiful and peaceful space and the sweetest companion, the star of the show, silky chatty snuggly (once she gets used to you!) Miss Bennett! Thank you so much, Christine, for your generous and kind spirit. And for sharing your home and fabulous fluffy feline freundin! I already miss Miss Bennett!
Sam, Ella, and Dave are such sweeties! We had an unbelievably beautiful time with them. I'm trying to decide which was the best part - the long walks with Sam and Ella in the bosque with the tall trees and amazingly beautiful desert plants, or looking at the stars while rocking in the most uniquely built rocking chairs I've ever seen with Sam laying at my feet and Ella snuggling her face against my arm. Or just hanging out inside in the evenings with Dave the cat sneaking up and trying to scare the dogs while they were laying down and trying to rest, haha! They are awesome animals and I enjoyed every minute with them. Kara has such a sweet place, big yard with good vibes, closed off to the surrounding houses and street with a solid steel fence so you can hang out outside and feel like you're in your own little peaceful haven. The neighborhood is so quiet with lots of pretty plants and interesting things to see everywhere. Once the dogs had their long adventure, there were so many great places to visit within walking distance, well, if you're adventurous and like to walk like us - Explora, Albuquerque Museum, Old Town Plaza, New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science, National Hispanic Cultural Center, the Botanical Garden and probably several other places (here's a tip - I would follow Google maps walking directions though because I didn't and had to run across wide and kinda busy Lomas Blvd). Down the street a few blocks is an amazing, huge, free art studio called Off Center which we went to a couple of times. But besides that, Sam and Ella were very well-behaved on their walks, always coming to me when I called and staying close to me, never running off. Oh and just a little tip, in the evenings Ella seemed to be a little nervous, missing her mommy Kara, but if you turn the TV on she relaxes right away. Great dogs, very cool and loveable cat, beautiful home and yard, lots of sweet and memorable moments❤️
We really enjoyed watching over the pets. Julianne is a great communicator and her home is comfortable with lovely interior design and a nice garden. Lucy is a very sweet and gentle dog and just loves to be close to her humans. Benjamin was very shy at the beginning but once he warmed up to us he loved sitting on our lap and making biscuits :-). Vader is very talkative and more confident. Super sweet trio!
First of all, Michelle and Kyle's home looks like something out of a magazine! It's beautifully designed and decorated and feels like a countryside inn, but close to all the amenities of a city. Cooper and Huck are super friendly and love everyone. Both were easy to care for and extremely well trained. There is a dog park down the street, which Cooper LOVES. The homeowners provided us with a list of things to do and see in the area.... restaurants, state parks and even a Bier Garten with live, free concerts on Friday evenings! All in all, this was a pleasant sit and we would definitely return someday.
Phil was an excellent host and looked after us even before we arrived by offering to safe a parking spot in front of his house. He gave us very clear instructions and it was pleasure to look after his 3 gorgeous cats. He was a very generous host and informed us the best places to have coffee and eat, great cafes and restaurants all within walking distance from his home. We would definitely return.
What a lovely sit! I stayed on the ground level accommodation which had everything I needed. Newly renovated and super clean. The dogs and chooks could not have been easier. The dogs were absolute lovers and sweethearts. They always loved being around me. The outside space was very comfortable and easily accessible right through the sliding door. Michelle was incredibly kind and picked me up and dropped me off from the bus stop in Rainbow Beach. She also let me stay the night before and night after my sit since the buses in the area are infrequent. I was also able to use a bicycle to get around while I was there. The neighbors even invited me into a neighboring town for some shopping one day. Thanks for a positive experience, Michelle!

I love the team at Hounds Town Atlanta-Smyrna. They take such good care of my fur baby! Ginger has sever separation and this is one of the only places she feel comfortable. She’s a small little thing and they make sure she is grouped with like sized friends. She has been more social since attending and made so many friends. 10/10 would recommend. Carah and Aleka have such good customer service and take such good care of Gigi
Hounds Town has been by far the best facility I've visited. The customer service is top notch. The facility is clean and odorless. I was able to see where my dog/s will be boarded and attending doggie daycare. I don't live close by but it's worth the distance not only for my fur babies but for me to have a peace of mind knowing that they're in good hands. 5✨️'s
I finally found a dog heaven for my Bichon!! From the staff, the facility, and all of the above. This place should be aired on t.v. as the absolute best. Their prices are wonderful. My baby is booked for a couple of days soon. I’m so impressed by the professionalism of their staff. It’s so clean, you could eat off the floor. I wish I could give 10 stars. I look forward to letting our fur babies stay with this establishment!! 💕
While experiencing a freak medical issue, I needed a place to board my dog in a hurry. Victor and the whole team at Hounds Town made my pup feel at home for five days. They followed care & feeding instructions and fluffed him up with a bath at the end of his stay, too. I loved getting pics and videos of Myles playing throughout the days. It's a great, clean facility and a wonderful, friendly team. Your dog will love it here!
We took our Frenchie to have an evaluation for his upcoming daycare stay. The owner(Victor) was awesome and patient with us. He answered all questions and gave us a tour. The facility was amazing..bright and cheerful and smelled brand new. We can’t wait to patronize this 10/10 business.
After having to cancel my dog sitter last minute houndstown was super flexible and understanding with my last minute booking. I loved the videos they posted everyday and surprisingly my girl did so well with the other dogs! She’s usually nervous around other dogs but she was playing and having a great time showing how amazing the staff and everything was. We will definitely be back 😊
Houndstown is not a bad daycare service, but there are a few issues preventing me from choosing Houndstown as my primary daycare provider. 1. They have cameras, but don't offer the option to Livestream or view them like you can at other doggie daycares. My dog was the only larger dog at daycare one day and was not able to be around the smaller dogs, so she was alone for most of the day. If I was able to see that on the camera, I would have come to pick her up. 2. The hours could be better. My dogs current daycare is almost 24/7. Houndstown has abbreviated hours on Saturday and Sunday. 3. They don't offer boarding packages, they only offer daycare packages. 4. There's no outside area. 5. Higher prices. Their competitors are simply offering more services, and charging less for them. With not being able to view live cameras, abbreviated hours of operation, and no packages, I can't really justify the additional cost. I will continue to use Houndstown occasionally, but I plan to stick with my current daycare unless prices drop or services increase.
Love Hounds Town! Can’t wait for my puppy to have his first daycare and overnight stay. Really nice accommodations for the dogs and very clean environment. The staff is awesome at the Smyrna location.
Hannah and I love it here! She just started coming for day care and they have been great! I would definitely recommend them for your fur baby!
We love Houndstown! My dog Luna has been needing some extra exercise and she definitely gets it here. All of the staff are so friendly and helpful, plus it’s clear they love the dogs! Luna pulls me to the door when it’s time for drop off and sleeps the whole next day, so it’s almost like a 2 for 1 every day we bring her. Win-win!
