Marla and Chad were absolutely wonderful! They were so kind and attentive to all my pets while my family and I were on vacation. I have two energetic dogs and several cats (one is still a kitten) and they were so great with all the pets and communicated every day with photos, videos and texts to give updates and check in. My dogs were treated to long daily walks, jogs and lots of games of fetch. Marla and Chad treated them and the cats to some new toys which was so nice of them, and the pets very much enjoyed the attention and play time. Marla was so sweet with my older cats; giving them attention and cuddles, and playing with the kitten and giving her fun and stimulating games to play and things to explore. When I returned home my house was clean and tidy, the pets were all happy, healthy and obviously had very much enjoyed their 10 days with Marla. and Chad. I think Chad even helped to get my dogs to be better walkers on their leashes! I am so grateful that I connected with Marla and Chad; they seem like very kind people, were easygoing, good natured and made me feel comfortable leaving my home and pets in their care.
Kat was an exceptional house and pet sitter. My giant mutt can be a handful, and Kat made the effort to get to know her and bond with her. She is thoughtful, and obviously loves getting to know pets. She was a great communicator and also took excellent care of my home, leaving it in better shape than I left it. I recommend her without hesitation!
We had an amazing time at Shani and Laurie’s lovely home, looking after their adorable little cuties Tia, Harry, and Bella. The dogs were just wonderful, so well behaved and loving, and Bella was the perfect cat! The area was really nice, really quiet with many supermarket and restaurant options close by. The walk with the dogs was a short drive away, in a nice big walking area. The dogs also loved to play on the dog beach, which was about 30 mins drive away. They loved to play ball in the pool too, especially Tia! Bella would come to sit on our laps almost every evening when we watched TV, during the day we didn’t see her that much since she was mostly outside. The house had everything we needed and we were very comfortable during our 6 week stay, as Laurie and Shani made sure everything was accommodated for and were very welcoming. Overall, we would highly recommend this house sit
Our sit with Suzy was super! She was tons of fun, affectionate, gentle, and just an absolute pleasure to be with. It was hard to say goodbye. In combination with a spectacular setting at Katherine and Andrew’s mountain-view property, it was a quintessential Vermont experience, and a dream sit for us. The location is peaceful and secluded but within easy driving distance to Stowe and Morristown, which have tons of recreational opportunities, nice shops, a bustling farmer’s market, grocery & food options (health & natural foods, coffee roasters, BBQ restaurant, brew pubs, etc). We enjoyed nearby hikes that weren’t extreme but provided spectacular views. The house is wonderfully comfortable with all amenities including a large fenced in yard to accommodate Suzy’s near-insatiable fetch hobby :) There’s a real farm a short walk away where you can grab fresh eggs and milk. Did we mention the views!? We also got our first caretaking experience with chickens, which was simple and added to the authentic countryside vibe. Although we didn’t get to meet Katherine and Andrew in person, the entire experience and communication was easy going, welcoming and accommodating throughout. We’d love to return and spend more time with Suzy and heartily recommend this sit to others.
