This was such a beautiful sit, the location is very convenient to local shops, public transport, a lovely friendly and very helpful community, and a wonderful landscape, the Hunter Valley. There are so many great places to visit in the area (if you have a car don’t forget to visit the town of Broke about an hour away), and a quiet neighbourhood if you work from home. For any international sitters, Newcastle is quite a large region, and accessible easily by car, there’s a great scenic train line, and also a domestic airport, so it’s a very well connected region and not at all far from Sydney - but with better weather ;). I had no issues whatsoever, and I cannot thank Shayne enough for her outstanding clear communication and hospitality. Everything was very well organized, and Mindy was such a delight, full of energy and overflowing with love, she will make you laugh and keep you good company, she’s a very special pup 🐶 I highly recommend!
I had a delightful experience house sitting for Janice’s two adorable cats. Janice was incredibly accommodating and maintained excellent communication throughout the entire process, making me feel completely at ease. Ollie and Zoey are the coolest cats I have EVER sat for. 😎 Some cats are scared and don’t want to be pet, but these guys love people and having a good time. I would definitely sit again and will truly miss these cats. You can tell that Janice loves and cares for the cats by how they respond to strangers. Durham and the area is great, a hidden gem if you are not from the area. The home is comfortable and convenient with stores and great ribs at Moe’s. You will definitely be entertained (yet not overwhelmed at all) and feel comfortable with this sit!
The interaction with Stephanie and Josh was excellent, they are wonderful people. Their furry babies are adorable and well-behaved, the kitten behaves like another dog 😊. Spending time with them was a lovely experience in a very beautiful and immaculate home.
We had a wonderful time sitting for Nick and Sue. They made us feel very welcome when we arrived; Sue even baked us some delicious blueberry muffins, which was not expected and we really appreciated. Before, during and after the sit, they were great communicators - never overbearing, but easy to reach when needed. Their dogs Abby and Brandy were a delight. They have a dog door, so we did not have to walk them, but we took them out walking several times during our stay. Abby enjoys a brief walk and just loves to be near you, preferably snuggling. Brandy is a big snuggler too, but is also playful and entertained us playing fetch after dinner every evening. We welcomed them to sleep on our bed, and all four of us were very happy with that arrangement! Their home is in a great location, close to all of the attractions in the Coachella Valley. The Del Webb Community has great amenities - walking paths, a nice gym, huge community pools, a putting green, and many other amenities. The home is beautifully decorated, very comfortable, has a well-stocked kitchen, and was VERY clean. We are neat freaks and their home was immaculate. The guest bed was so comfortable that we looked to see the brand so we can get a similar one for ourselves when it's time to replace ours. The private pool in their back yard was a great amenity as well. We would love the opportunity to sit with Abby and Brandy again. We miss them already!
