This is a dream sit! I instantly fell in love with the two cutest, most adorable pups Jaxson & Joey. They are an absolute joy to look after. 2 brothers yet different personalities. Jaxson likes to snuggle on your lap and follow you around. Joey is more independent, likes snuggles too though on his terms. They know their routine & will let you know when it’s time for food, walkies & even bedtime. I had so much fun with them.. truly the best therapy!

Jim is the nicest host. I felt so welcome in his beautiful house and he made me feel completely at home and made sure I had everything I needed. I met some of the neighbours who were very friendly and his bother & sister in law who live close by made me feel like part of the family.

The Villages is something else. I would describe it as paradise for retirees! A golf cart community with so many activities and everyone seems so happy there.

I am already booked in for my next sit with “the boys” and can’t wait to return❣️

Alex and Natalie were very sweet and I met them and their pets before the sit. They have 3 cats who were fun to be with and 3 dogs plus a bunny upstairs.
Communication went smooth throughout the sit. The dogs needed to be let out frequently to avoid too many accidents. Administering medication was no problem since they all loved food and treats.
The area is quite safe and nice. It is close to the Horniman Natural Museum, kinda like a little brother to the National Nature History Museum in Central London.

If you should ever find yourself invited to sit for Franklin, Floyd, and Wiley, do yourself a favor and go for it! Adorable Franklin and handsome Floyd are the friendliest, sweetest, easiest pups to care for, and Wiley the loud-meowing cat is unbelievably affectionate and basically takes care of himself. These animals were immediately welcoming and accepting of me and Kevin, and, although they missed Jen and Tim, they were confident enough to allow us to step in and care for them, while showing us genuine love and affection throughout the sit. As for the house, it is absolutely lovely, beachy, spacious, private, and light-filled, with a great play lawn out back and an abundant vegetable garden up front, from which we were allowed to take a whole head of home-grown lettuce and other ingredients for our salads, which was awesome. Best of all, Jennifer and Tim are simply best kind of people, and I can be specific about this: this sit began on a rocky note for me. At the time I was to be at their home to begin the sit, I was in the emergency room taking tests to figure out a mysterious problem which turned out to be an allergic reaction to a vaccine. Not only were Jennifer and Tim understanding about my delay, they were actually concerned for ME, for my health, and sent me good wishes and messages to help me relax about my lateness. And when we did arrive, they’d left wine, two bottles specifically chosen for us, to welcome us to their home! The sit went off without any more complications thankfully, but all sitters out there will know what a huge positive it is to work with pet parents so full of grace and understanding. The experience was simply wonderful for us, and we wholeheartedly, unreservedly recommend sitting for this family!

Bagel is an absolute cutie. Loves cuddles and company but is equally happy doing his own thing or chilling at home if you are out and about. He greets you with the cutest smile when you get back and chats away for a couple of minutes catching you up on what you missed 🥰

Like all pets Bagel has a couple of quirks that Kelly was great at talking me through at the handover and sharing tips and pointers that were really helpful e.g. he's quite a tall beagle so best to keep counter tops clear of food 🐶

He loooves a treat and Kelly had a wonderful stash of them on hand. He follows basic commands like sit and paw and bed and is great at walking on the lead at your pace and responding to you when crossing the road. He's not interested in socialising with other dogs so we tended to avoid them.

Overall Bagel is generally a happy, loving adaptable dog that goes with the flow. He's communicative too and let's you know if he needs anything, like going outside or am extra cuddle 🤗

Kelly and family live on a great location for an easy stroll into Winchester. I was stayed in a lovely spacious double ensuite bedroom with a desk-ideal for anyone who does a bit of remote work. With the train station nearby and visitor parking available it makes it super easy to get to and from this housesit too.

Kelly gave helpful info ranging from vet contact numbers to local walks and restaurant recommendations at the beginning of the sit and there was swift communication while they were away too.

Thank you Kelly, Bagel and family for the warm welcome and the chance to sit for you. I had a great time with Bagel and miss him already.
