We loved staying at Neil's lovely home and hanging out with Oscar and Pavlova! Oscar was a delight to take on his walks and we had fun meeting other dogs/dog owners and checking out the lovely area and dog parks. I had a wonderful time staying in Caitlin and Henry’s (and Bernie’s) home! Bernie is one of the sweetest and gentlest dogs I’ve ever looked after, and he was so fun and easy to take care of. The area and home itself are lovely, and we had a great time going on long walks to explore London as well as playing around the house. Caitlin and Henry were super friendly and communicative and made sure I had everything I needed through my stay. I highly recommend their home and would enthusiastically visit again!
Monica and Joel's home is an absolutely perfect place to unwind after a day exploring Acadia National Park. And while Acadia is a gem, the elegant and gentle Piero was still the highlight of our three weeks there. This cat is a very special animal, he is one of the kindest, most lovely four-leggeds we have had the honor of spending time with. He's very easygoing and loving, inquisitive, but never pushy, patient and graceful. Monica and Joel are world travelers with the wonderful stories to prove it. Their home is architecturally interesting and cozy, the property is great, with trails to explore right out the back door. They are clearly very generous people, and even included the use of their truck. This is a fantastic housesit for anyone looking to explore the region, do some writing or painting, or work remotely while making friends with the best Maine Coon you'll ever meet!
I loved looking after Ash for the week in London Fields. Charlotte was so welcoming, attentive and took time before the sit to go through everything with me which was really helpful. Ash was so adorable, such a character and a pleasure to look after. Thank you!
We stayed only one night as it was a last minute thing (the original sitter cancelled at a late date), Jo contacted us asking if we could help. We never met Jo as she had already traveled but was very pleasant and friendly via messages. The property is really nice (we like the style), high ceilings and parquet flooring, it has every thing you need from cooking utilities, nice size garden area, lovely lounge area with big sofa and TV, nice bathroom, comfy bed and the internet worked perfectly for us. The location is good being in walking distance to Westcliff train station, Cliffs Pavilion and the beach, Southend isn’t far and neither is Leigh-on-Sea (we like Leigh, great restaurants and coffee shops). No the cats! The cuties! They are lovely. Michonne (dark) greeted us as we walked in and was very friendly, it took Titus (ginger) about 30 mins to come out but was also friendly, both are people cats and affectionate towards us, they liked to play but Titus was a little more aware of fast movements and load noises.
Peter and Steve were fabulous hosts and looking after their sweet cats, Buda and Pést, was an absolute pleasure. Their beautiful home is in the heart of Cliftonville, Margate and within a 5 minute walk of the main road as well as the seafront and lovely beaches. The comprehensive Welcome Guide that they had prepared helped to ensure that the housesit was a stress-free experience from start to finish. Margate is a lovely city and having the opportunity to take beautiful walks along the coast added to the enjoyment of this housesit. I would heartily recommend this housesit and would be happy to again housesit for Peter and Steve.

Extremely pleased with the service provided by the Cute Noses Team They provide a feeding at home service for our cat. Whilst they are very warm and friendly they provide a professional service, giving regular updates and photos. When I make any enquiries they respond very quickly (within hours) of their availability. They clearly love the animals they work with ; my cat loves them feeding him as I see him receiving lots of cuddles and affection. I feel so safe when I know they are looking after him. We have used Cute noses 3 times now to board our Guinea Pigs whilst we go on holiday. It is lovely to know they are so well cared for and safe indoors so we don't have to worry whilst we're away. What an amazing 5***** cat sitting service Cute Noses offer - I booked in with them for 2 x daily cat visits at our home during our 5 day break away, after seeing their glowing reviews, and I was not disappointed. A “pre visit” took place for Fred to meet our cat and all details of the cats needs, registered vet in case of emergency, and the cats usual feeding schedule, were noted down and religiously followed. Twice daily updates received via WhatsApp along with photos and as an added bonus Fred also kindly watered my plants daily and took charge of putting bins out and in for me. If you want your cat to stay in familiar surroundings but also need total peace of mind while you are away - look no further. The most amazing team. Sheena, Jade and Jasmin and everyone associated with Vippies are honestly so amazing. They are all so caring and go above and beyond, they’ve made me feel so at ease leaving my pup with them since I’ve moved to the area. With constant updates/ reassurance with pictures on WhatsApp, I almost thought at one point my dog wouldn’t want to come back after having so much fun! Sheena, Jade, and the team are always welcoming, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. They have always taken the greatest care of our dogs and have already done wonders for Ted (our black labrador) who lacked socialisation as a puppy. I have been using Vippies for a few years. Rob is our main worker. He is trustworthy and on most times visits Bella and Lilly my British short haired twice a day. . He follows care plans and always does that bit extra sending photos and messages. Thanks Rob. And He leaves a treat there favourite Dreamies.
We've been taking our miniature dachshund here for about 3 weeks now and whilst he's shy and reactive around other dogs he loves that he can have cuddles and human affection here in a home from home environment. Seeing how his confidence has come on in a short space of time and his reactivity has gone down! Don't get me wrong he has a long way to go but just by being here he seems to be a happier dog. He's doesn't do well with being alone so reducing that through daycare has helped tremendously. We also get multiple photos and updates everytime he attends from him having a shy day and cuddling the staff to his walks with other dogs and playing. It's nice to see him having the confidence to actually be a dog that he just didn't have before. Also hes out like a light when we get home which is always a bonus 😂
Cannot recommend Paw & Co enough, could not have felt better leaving our puppy Bess in Erica's safe hands. You can see what your dog is getting up to on the Facebook page and staying with Erica at a young age has helped Bess come on leaps and bounds! Such a nice holiday for your dog!
I took my little Pup to Paw & Co when my partner and I were staying out for the evening at a wedding, it was the first time I had left her apart from with family so I was quite apprehensive, but Erica put me completely at ease and let me know that my pup was in good hands. She had her own room with her cage in for the night, was played with ALL night and taken on two walks - it's safe to say I had one tided pup that came back to me!! The Facebook updates that Erica posts are so great to see as a way to see what your Pup is up to and put me at complete ease. Also, the cost for a full day and overnight stay is more than reasonable! I will 100% be calling on Erica and Josh again for the next occasion when my Pup needs looking after! Great company ❤️🐶
I can’t praise Erica enough for her care of my ten month old cocker spaniel Ernest, who has just arrived back from a week at Paw & Co whilst I was away on holiday. We had to make arrangements fairly last minute after our original sitter felt Ernest didn’t settle and cancelled his stay... so I was obviously a little bit anxious; however we are so blessed Erica could accommodate Ernest and for his practice sleepover and the full week stay he has been treated as one of the family and has had a wonderful time!! He couldn’t have been in better hands... Erica is extremely knowledgable and professional; she loves every dog she has stay and puts you totally at ease. it made the holiday even better knowing he was being so well looked after. I think he has the post holiday blues now and misses Erica, Josh and his dog buddies!
We've got a nervous rescue dog but Erica has been brilliant with him. She's really taken the time to get to know him, we've got full confidence that Cody is in safe and enjoyable hands whilst we're at work. Fully recommended.
My mini dachshund Gilbert has been going to Erica for just over a year now for regular daycare and some overnight stays when we are away and he absolutely loves it!! He gets so excited when he sees her or gets to her house which I think speaks absolute volumes. I trust her 100% with him and have no problems recommending her to anyone! 😄

Our two dogs hadn’t been to a kennel before and wow I’m glad I chose this one! Carol and Shaun were so flexible, professional and kind. Their facilities are absolutely spotless and the dogs were incredibly well cared for. We have one with three legs and another with ear issues, nothing was a problem and Elderberry were more than happy to accommodate their needs. When I collected them their bedding was immaculate and even the doggies smelt fresh! This tells me they’ve been kept super clean throughout which is a must for me. The paddock area is fabulous and I could tell they’d been well exercised, it’s fab seeing the pictures of them playing each day! I will never let our boys go anywhere else, Elderberry is absolutely fantastic. Thank you both and see you next time!
First time for us leaving Willow and bluebell in kennels naturally we were anxious about choosing the right one for them but we didn't need to worry elderberry was a beautiful and very clean kennels the girls really enjoyed it and came home looking beautifully looked after we could see from the photos they were very happy we will definitely use elderberry again we couldn't have been any happier thank you for looking after our girls so well
Put our dogs in kennels for the first time, viewed a few before coming across this one and first Impressions made it stand out above the rest. Can’t express how happy I am with the service we received for our two dachshunds! Shaun tends to every need and gets to know each individual dog down the the littlest detail and can tell he has a real love for dogs! Carol uploaded some photos on their social media during their visit which is very nice to see when you miss your companions! Will definitely be using them again!

It was our boy Max’s first visit and we were not disappointed with these kennels!! A totally professional service from start to finish. We were allowed to take Max’s crate and bedding so he felt safe and at home. The kennels are spotlessly clean and there’s a big paddock for exercise, a beagle needs this!! 😂. We loved seeing the photos of Max on facebook while we were away, it really reassured us that he was happy and being well looked after. I also msg’d to ask how Max had settled in and I got an answer straight away. We wouldn’t go anywhere else now. Thank you 🙏
Harry, our 2 year old Springer stayed at Elderberry for 4 days recently. As he's so young and energetic it's great that the dogs are exercised every 2 hours and Harry seemed very happy and relaxed when I picked him up. He even wanted to go back in before we left, pulling me back towards the gate when we said goodbye so thank you so much for looking after him so well. We will definitely be recommending you.
An outstanding kennels which my dog loves as much as I do! (My dog is a rescued, socially anxious terrier so this is high praise indeed) I never worry about him when we are away. He now goes once a week for day boarding and that is proving to be an excellent experience. The squeals of delight when I tell the dog we are going to see Shaun and Carol have to be seen and heard to be believed! I firmly believe his day trips to kennels are extending his life now. From booking him in to picking him up at the end of his visits, I cannot praise this hard working family business enough. Great value for money is a bonus for me! I highly recommend Elderberry Kennels.
Just picked up our dog after a week staying here. I can't praise Carol and Sean enough. They were very patient with our extremely nervous boy, Teddy and went over and beyond to help him settle. They are obviously both very experienced, knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. I can't thank them enough and highly recommend these kennels. What a treat to have these on our doorstep!
Thanks for looking after Lyra so well. She arrived home well fed and exercised. This is the best kennels for us nothing is too much trouble for Carol and Shaun. They are happy to give medications and Lyra's usual Rich tea biscuit each day. We've always found them professional, welcoming and caring. The kennels and exercise areas are really clean and well kept. If our Patterdale is happy then we are happy.
Our beautiful boy, Humphrey, is a regular visitor to the cattery and is extremely comfortable with all of the staff there. They send me regular updates on him and I know that he is always comfortable, well cared for and has plenty of playtime! It puts us very much at ease knowing he has such a wonderful place to stay whilst we’re away!
Me and my wife recently took our cat to Paws lodge and we were nervous about leaving him since he’s a shy nervous boy in new environments and people, but he was constantly looked after by the team who made sure he was comfortable and happy and they always provided updates to let us know how he was doing, very pleased and happy and he didn’t seem to want to leave! Would definitely recommend!
If our cats had a choice in the matter, they would permanently live at this Cattery. Cheryl and her team can do no wrong. At first we were anxious about sending our cats to a Cattery, but Paws Lodge is a home away from home. Attentive, caring and hardworking. Highly recommend.
I have been using Paws Lodge for years, and just had my three cats in again. This is by far the best cattery I have used. Both Cheryl and Sarah are absolutely lovely and very caring. My cats always seem very happy. Left our cats here whilst we went on our honeymoon and they did a great job. Our 2 cats don’t tend to enjoy each others company because of the age gap and the younger one wanting to play all the time but there were no problems with them both being in the same pen. The staff here are super friendly too. Would definitely use again.
We have used Paws Lodge cattery for many years now for our two cats. The cats have consistently received the best care and always look happy and well fed on our return. One of our cats, who had recent surgery was looked after very well, and the staff kept us updated regularly, with photographs on how the wound was doing, which was very reassuring. They really did go above and beyond for us. We feel it is home from home for our cats and cannot praise Cheryl and her team highly enough. we would travel a long way to continue to use this Cattery. They always have the best interests of the cat at heart, and it is very obvious they love cats here.
We dropped our fourth month old kitten, Pippin, off for a six day stay. We were very nervous about leaving her due to her being so young but the staff put us at ease. The enclosures were lovely and in a lovely area. Upon picking her up, we were told she had been a 'monkey' and was very playful with the staff. We're very happy with the cattery and have a second visit booked!
100% the best Cattery! Our cat Obi has stayed with them 3 times now and every time she is super comfortable and seems very happy! Staff are so lovely and take such good care of her, they always send me updates and photos of her whenever I ask which I appreciate so much! I’d definitely recommend this Cattery to anyone<3

Sky has been going to Pippin’s for over a year now and she loves every minute she’s at day care. We wouldn’t trust anyone else with our girl. Mark and Judith care about Sky’s wellbeing as much as we do, as she is a very excited doggy and loves to play all the time she is not restricted to this when she’s at day care. We couldn’t thank Judith and Mark enough for always being there for our fur baby! 🐶
Dougie has the BEST day at daycare and I wouldn't trust anyone else to have my dog. Judith has always been so flexible with my crazy schedule and I have always felt that she puts Dougie first. I know they genuinely care for my dog and send me regular videos and pictures of him playing and running around as well as snoozing when he's had a full day. I recommend Pippins to EVERYONE I know with dogs and will continue to do so for a loving environment where your dogs can thrive.
Both my dogs love going to Pippins, my older lab, Henry is given time out to rest and my dachshund puppy, Tiger is socialising with other happy dogs. Judith has created a home from home environment with a large garden for them to play in and games to keep them occupied plus regular walkies. I can’t recommend Pippins highly enough, so pleased we found it. 🐾💕🐾
I have sent my two dogs to Pippins for 18 months and I can highly recommend them! Our dogs are always well cared for and I know that their safety and happiness is as important to Judith and Mark as it is to me! I can tell that they are happy to go to Pippins from the wagging tails as they go down the path...and from the scratching at the gate to get IN!! Both dogs are very sociable with other dogs on walks and I put this down to them having spent time at Pippins where they mix with other dogs in a safe, supervised environment. The photos and videos from the day are an added bonus!
I've been taking my "special" dog Abe, to Pippins for 8 months now. I can honestly say that it's the best thing I could have done for my reactive, sensitive and slightly neurotic Bedlington Whippet. He adores Jude and Mark, plays happily with all of the other dogs that he meets and generally has a whale of a time every week. He's always tired out and his behaviour has improved so much. Jude and Mark have created a haven that is happy, safe and caring and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
Mark and Jude just love all the dogs in their care like they were their own. They have created a very special place and environment for the dogs they care for. We have been taking Sammi our 3 year old spaniel to Mark and Jude (Pippins) as she was not very confident around other dogs. The change in Sammi has been fantastic. She is still cautious but that is no bad thing - but she does want to say hello and has even started to play. Can not recommend Pippins enough and the humans - Mark and Jude are just the most lovely of people. Thank you for all that you do.
At Pippin’s, Judith and Mark are brilliant and offer a fantastic daycare service. I’ve been very lucky that my dog has been with them since they opened, and she loves it there so much that when I drive into the village to drop her off, she starts whining with excitement, straining at her car-harness to get there sooner! She loves playing with their two dogs and all her doggy pals who also daycare at Pippin’s. She’s a very active dog, and not only does she get 2 walks a day, but also lots of playtime in the garden, so it’s excellent for socialization in a friendly home environment (with space for rest and naps too). They take care of all the dogs as if they are their own. They know all my dog’s quirks and her personality, and it feels like they care about her almost as much as I do. When she has boarded with them for overnights she’s been so well looked after, she settles in instantly - while I’m away she has her own little holiday camp! I even get regular photo updates of her at doggy day care, which always make me smile. Judith and Mark are professional, efficient, and also flexible when something comes up that means I can’t drop off/collect my dog at the normal time. I couldn’t ask for a better doggy day care – my girl adores her time with them and comes home a happy and wonderfully tired pup.
My dog Winnie has been going to Pippins for over 4 months, she gets very excited when I take her out of the car and she sees either Jude or Mark. Brilliant place for your dog, pleased with the recommendation I was given. I’m so pleased Pippins were recommended to me. My dog is nervous and can be reactive but he seems so settled. They really care about the dogs and provide a safe, stimulating environment that my boy loves. He comes back after his busy day and sleeps which is no mean feat when you’re a hyperactive cocker spaniel!
What can I say, we have left our cat with Karen over the last 7 years and she is brilliant. In fact when we go to collect him the cheeky monkey does not want to leave, he has plenty of space and the cattery is spotless. Karen treats him as well as all the other residents as her own which is lovely. She always does her best to accommodate if she can. Highly recommended.

Karen cares about all the kitties not just a business to her, she also takes on strays so if anyone wants to see her and make a donation I know she will be very great full or even rehome one of her strays
Great rescue giving cats and kittens the best chance
Despite giving short notice, Karren was able to accommodate our two cats, 4 years of age apart, who would be sharing one chalet for the first time. It was an excellent service overall and we got a prompt reply whenever we wanted to check on them via text message. Highly recommended and will be using again.
As an owner of a cat that strongly relies on medication twice a day holidays can be a very worrying time. Infact holidays become impossible as most boarding will not entertain having the extra responsibility. So finding Four Feet Retreat was a real life line for us. Karen firstly invited us for a visit with our cat were she took time to listen us talk about his needs and the best way to administer his medication. She adviced us before we went to arrange a time close when he was needing his tablets and inhaler so she could show us that she was capable of administrating them. This was such a relief to have found someone with such experience with cats. Her nature towards all of the cats in her care was remarkable and we could clearly see that this is not just a business but a person that has and unquestionably love for animals and a kindness that is not easily found these days.
