We had a great time with Pepper, Misty, and Houdini. Pepper was very enthusiastic when we first met her, but quickly calmed down once she got used to us. Misty was affectionate from the start while Houdini, aptly named, was sweet and friendly once he "appeared". Kathy & Chris' home is located in a great neighborhood. The neighborhood was safe and provided many different routes for our daily walks with Pepper. At the end of their street is a great recreational area that includes ball fields, playgrounds, and tennis courts. While housesitting we had many opportunities to go into Chicago as it was only a half hour trip in by train. The train station was only a 10-15 minute drive. Bus stops were close by and during the week it was easier for us to ride a bus to the station vs. driving. Kathy & Chris were very accomodating and we appreicated our time in their home.
I cared for Dana’s pets for 8 days. The communication from day one was excellent. Her instructions were clear and very detailed and she really knows her babies. Enkinu was playful, loving and well trained. He “took” me on long walks all over the neighborhood and almost everyone knew him by name. We also did a lot of snuggling, playing and dancing in the house😆 Tobi the 🐈 warmed up to me on day two. He was playful and extremely loving. Very well trained also. Dana’s home is located closed to everything in Charlottesville in a very quiet tree lined neighborhood. The home was clean, welcoming and full of positive energy. It did rain a lot during my stay and I spent a lot of time watching movies on her living room projector😎 Dana included places of interest and dining options on her guide. I visited Monticello, downtown pedestrian mall and the UVA campus ( founded by Thomas Jefferson.) Great opportunity if you are interested in history and love the outdoors. I highly recommend this sit to anyone 😎
Suzanne is kind, generous, and a wonderful host. To ensure a smooth handover, Suzanne suggested I arrive one day in advance. Suzanne was very kind, and gave me a tour of the condo, went over walking routes, feeding schedules, and activities and places I could shop for food. She was very generous, and left me various Christmas treats to enjoy during the sit. It was a pleasure to sit for Popper as she is very sweet, docile and well trained. I hope I can sit for Pepper as her affectionate character makes sitting for her a joyful experience.
This sit was super enjoyable! Messi is a mild mannered & polite pooch. He really does know his feeding times. House is very comfy, and the pool is awesome! Cooktop was fab!!! I miss ‘Marshmellow’ already!!!
