Laura was the best experience I have had so far with zeewoi. Because she lives in my city, she was able to meet with us a couple of times before we left, which, although not strictly necessary, was really nice and I was grateful to be able to show her my routine. But mostly, I was grateful for her flexibility, as our travel plans involved us leaving for a month, returning home for a couple of days, and then leaving again for another couple of weeks. I’m sure that this could not have been super convenient for her, but she never complained and cheerfully returned. Most importantly, she did not seem to mind that my teenage son, who I could never have trusted with this much responsibility, was in and out of the house while she stayed there. Probably this was in violation of some TH policy, but Laura was totally cool about it. While we were gone, she stayed in touch with us and regularly sent me pictures of my cats sitting in her lap, getting their little heads scratched, just as if I were there myself. This is important when you’re away for as long as we were, and it was very comforting to see them getting loved on. But the most amazing thing, which I did not totally expect, was that the two feral cats that I feed were waiting for me in the garage upon my return, right where I’d left them. That they had not gone in search of a new home let me know for sure that Laura had cared for them as well, despite the fact that there’s not much emotional reward in feeding feral cats. When we returned from our travels, the house was tidy, things were mostly in place, nothing was broken, and there were clean sheets on the bed. There was even a cooked chicken and an entire jar of homemade stock in the fridge!! Who does that?? Laura!!! I very much hope to be able to engage Laura again next summer, but I suspect that by then she will be highly in demand in locales far more exotic than Austin, Texas. Get her while you can; this one’s a keeper.
Sitting with John and Viviane had been such a pleasure. They puppy Poppy is a joy to look after. She is affectionate, friendly and full of character. She sleeps most of day and through the night but when she wants play then she is completely engaged and I had some great ball fetching game with her in the park. Living in Brunswick apartment has also been a dream. The place has all you are going need and some. There is a huge outdoor area for me and Poppy to walk around. The neighbourhood is perfect blend of quite living and urban convenience, with plenty of shops, parks, bike lanes, and close to tram and trains. I would definitely come back again in the future!
I had a lovely 3 weeks staying in Geelong with darlings Diesel and Daisy. I had regular contact with Michelle and Steve and they were very accommodating. The house was in a nice walking distance to the CBD as well as lovely cafes and parkland. Diesel and Daisy were a joy and I was sad to have to leave. I would definitely House Sit for Michelle and Steve again if I am given the chance.
Jessica and Justus were such great hosts. They left clear instructions for their home and fur baby. Hobbes was so easy to care for and full of personality. I will miss him. I would definitely recommend them to any sitter in the Chattanooga area.
Our stay with Hamlet was so lovely. Lucy & Joe were so accommodating of us, giving us lots of advice on pubs/cafes and walks to take Hamlet on. Heading into Richmond park every morning with Hamlet was definitely a highlight, not to mention seeing deer roaming around as a couple of Aussies was very exciting. Hamlet himself is gorgeous, loves a cuddle and is very affectionate. The location is fantastic, just a short walk to Kingston and nearby supermarkets. Overall we loved our stay with Hamlet, and would (and already have!) come back anytime to look after Hamlet.

We thoroughly recommend this sit to you. We have done a number of sits now, and we really can tell you these are some of the most delightful, beautiful engaging dogs we have cared for. Gorgeous breeds a ‘golden doodle’ and a ‘Berna doodle’, loveable likeable enchanting and affectionate. They made us smile, were full of joy and put a smile on our face all the time we were with them. The house area and family are also fabulous! Jennifer, a pharmacist is organised warm and hospitable. We did not get to meet Shawn and did not see either on departure as we handed over to their relatives Jo and Linda on Sunday afternoon. They were cousins of Jennifer and in the area to attend a memorial in Washington. The house is ordered clean and managed efficiently with a light touch. Communication with Jennifer was incredibly good, efficient effective and smooth both via the platform and in person. Jennifer and Shawn provided note and care instructions that were detailed and really helpful. The dogs are extremely easy to look after and the house is easy and a pleasure to stay in. We arrived the night before and Jennifer bought in a Nando’s which was much appreciated. The house is immaculate, very well equipped and comfortable and in a convenient location in a suburb just outside Washington DC across the border in Maryland. It is in a wide tree lined road full of blossom, super executive double fronted substantial houses and in a quiet and safe area. Inside it is well furnished with a great cooking kitchen double oven gas hob and lots of preparation space. Geoff really enjoyed cooking in it. There is a nice outside space with seating you can use in warm weather and a dog flap for the dogs who like to mooch around and play in the garden. There is also a hot tub. We think you could work from home very comfortably from here as the Wi-Fi speed is incredibly good and the dogs are not demanding. There are good Metro links into the centre of Washington and to the airport. It takes about a half hour to get into the city centre via Twinbrook Metro (about twenty miles). Overground parking at the station costs around 6$ for a car and an Uber will cost you around $15. The nearest airport to Bethesda is Reagan Washington (DCA) Airport which is 9.4 miles away, other nearby airports include Washington Dulles (IAD) (18.9 miles). As mentioned, the dogs were a pleasure and easy to look after. Harper is a wiry bouncy loveable exuberant dog. She Jumps for joy when she is happy which is a marvel to see. She is a smiling charismatic gentle dog agile and fast sometimes a little mischievous and will take food off the counter (you will need to watch for this). She has a penchant for croissant and can stand on two legs very well to reach right to the back of the work tops (which is quite a skill) She is more restless than Reece and bouncier. She will smile at you showing her teeth and it will make you do the same. When out for a walk she walks well and amazingly fast as she is fit and agile and could easily run alongside you if you wanted her to. Rhys is slightly more measured stockier and has soft fur like a teddy bear or a panda! She is very cuddly laid-back easy-going and relaxed. Both dogs are great companions but can chill out and unwind as well. They are friendly, intelligent, confident with happy expressions engaging welcoming and loyal with an eagerness to please. They are beautifully cared for with immaculate coats when we arrived gentle and the loveliest joyful dogs with no complications or medications. They eat well on specially ordered fresh food that looks delicious. They play very well together with each other, and Harper enjoys running free. They absolutely love their walks but just as important with this sit is you respond to their loving affectionate natures with lots of love back cuddles hugs and belly rubs. They like relaxing with you but not in a needy way as they shower you with kisses and attention as well and they are sweet natured and not demanding. On this shorter than usual sit we did local walks as Jennifer said Rhys and Harper do not really like travelling in the car or visiting dog parks. The walks were still very enjoyable as there are numerous glorious circular walks round the local area through the exquisite neighbourhood along established roads lined with trees that for us were full of cherry blossom and magnificent magnolia trees. The dogs walked well on the lead with Harper making the occasional spectacular good-natured jump for joys (tricky if on a double lead) We took one dog each but occasionally used the double lead. They liked other dogs but also enjoyed playing in the garden and a gentle rough and tumble with each other. They tend to bark at dogs passing their house and people visiting the neighbouring properties. Rhys and Harper do not require a set amount of walking, but we walked them around an hour a day twice plus played in the garden. From this sit you will be able to visit all the sites of Washington, the museums the White House and Capitol Hill and Arlington Cemetery. We recommend that you use the circulator connector bus when you are in the centre of Washington as it is only $1 each time you get on. Also, we suggest travelling on the public Metro system and also taking the interesting tour of the inside of the Capitol building which is free and excellent. A car is helpful for this sit but not essential as you will be able to manage without as you can get around using the metro and uber and by walking the dogs locally. A brilliant sit, it was a pleasure and we wished we could have stayed longer. It was delightful and memorable, so many thanks to Jennifer and Shawn for choosing us.
