Lovely young family and loving dog Humphrey. They couldn’t have done more to make us welcome. They have a very comfortable annexe where we stayed the first night as they were leaving in the early hours next day although Becky offered us a choice of rooms in the house we were very comfortable in the Annexe. They have family pet chickens which were so easy to look after and insisted we used anything we wanted from the fridge and their allotments. Highly recommended
Wow absolute amazing stay from start to finish. Upon arrival i was kindly picked up by Thomas from local train station and taken back to the house.where i met mart and casper who mite i add is very well behaved dog for his age and friendly too loved meeting all 3 off you.Both Thomas and mart made my welcome amazing and both will also help with sites to go to visit in the local town if your not from their already best places to take casper as-well as instructions/guide on the house. Defiantly recommend trying Thomas homemade sourdough and jam.all in all amazing stay amazing pet, owners, neighbours ,views and walks if you was ever thinking of moving out of city life or just somewhere peaceful Thomas's local town would defiantly be the one.
Oreo and Rocky are two lovely, well behaved and cuddly dogs. Rocky is still very young and initially was scared of us, but he was soon queuing up for cuddles - he is such a cute little thing! He still had his puppy hair but was very patient at getting brushed. Oreo is just a big cuddly teddy bear that loves all humans and dogs :) There is a lovely walk to a nearby woodland where they could be let off the lead for a good run, both were very well behaved with good recall and it was fun watching them have so much fun. The chickens/turkey's were straight forward to look after and we loved the eggs! We highly recommend visiting Gray's memorial and the beautiful memorial gardens. We had a very comfortable stay at Thor and Charlotte's lovely home, very much enjoyed the swim pond and sauna and beautiful grounds. Thor and Charlotte were very welcoming and kindly allowed us to stay for an extra few days when we got stuck for our next sit. We are eternally grateful, and can't recommend this sit highly enough.
Gerri has a beautiful home. It has everything you need and it a very short walk to the beach and local trails. Summer is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever met and was such a pleasure to take care of.
Double the pleasure with 2 lovely kitties. Both very different personalities.Vita is absolutely beautiful and quite aloof. She sits and observes from afar but as soon as you go near her food cupboard, she becomes very animated. She liked to play a couple of times by chasing the feather on a stick, but not as much as Marta. Vita allowed me to stroke her but didn't initiate any contact other than when she wanted food which made me want to cuddle her even more. Marta was much more playful straight away and enjoyed rolling around on her back and chasing the feather on a stick. She happily sat on my lap and slept at the end of my bed, consequently I got lots of cuddles from her. Even though my stay was only for a short while, I will miss them both. They are both lovely in different ways. I would have loved to look after them for longer. Nicola is a lovely, friendly host and very responsive to any communication. Her home is very well equipped, warm, quiet and comfortable. Nicola was very considerate. As it was November she left plenty of throws around the flat for me and even 2 hot water bottles, but to be honest, i didnt need any of them as the flat was very warm and cosy. Its situated in a great spot and easy to reach by car. This was a short sit, for four nights but very enjoyable. I didn’t venture far, as i was only there a short time and wanted to spend time with the kitties but I did manage to visit the famous ice cream shop Lucca in Musselburgh where I tasted some of their lovely apple pie and ice cream. I would definitely recommend this sit. A lovely all round experience. Thankyou Vita, Marta and Nicola.
